Have you broke the driveshaft yet? I had mine roll through the yard and snapped my cv shaft and broke the driveshaft. Not sure if you have videos of replacing them yet.
nope. I haven't really broken anything other than a small crack on the bellcrank, which i did myself, and the servo horn. It's been a very durable machine for me. If you haven't replaced them yet, I'm certainly down to give it a shot
@@kylegeldmaker I have not replaced them yet. Just took it for a little spin after I replaced the driveshaft. I hit a little jump and just broke the rear a arm! Im not even bashing this thing hard and having parts breaking left and right on me lol
If you mean a 6s, no I haven't run it with a 6s pack. I have two 4s 80c lipos that I use for this truck. All the videos I see with this truck on 6s make it seem like its mostly a parts-breakage liability. I do have 2 3s packs on the way for a new truck I'm working on. I might try those two 3s's for a quick rip but I kinda prefer control over ridiculous power and uncontrollable speed.
@@PhillipGriffin3211 Its very usable on 4s. I did try it on a 120c 6s and I don't really like it. It wants to live on it's roof and just flip constantly. I have the suspension tuned pretty well for 4s so I can use basically 50-75% throttle constantly. Its a blast for sure.
I had hobbyshop do some work for me on this..trued to pick out a fan for the motor and they said I had no space in my reciever for it ??dont make sense
Im pretty sure there's another channel in the Redcat reciever. In the long run it's probably better to find a solution to come off the battery or have a separate battery since the voltage coming from the receiver or ESC is likely 6v or 7.4v. most fans can take 12v so you'd probably want to run a 3s standalone battery, of course that's for absolute max performance.
Yeah Idk...after seeing everyone putting fans or theirs im thinking dude at hobbyshop just didnt wanna mess with it or something lol..just dont make sense to me..I did pick out a way more powerful like 100 dollar savox servo thats now in it..dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.I have a heatsink on the motor without the fan but I dont think thats going to make much of a difference especially with weather getting warmer
@@Bstiffbb1986 the servo shouldn't make a difference, it has its own dedicated channel on the receiver. You can pick up some servo splitters and run it off the ESC power, I have a video that shows the fan installation and how I used the ESC fan power to also energize the motor fan. They're inexpensive and can be pretty handy.
I keep looking at the kaju as my choice for 1/8 scale truck. I like the fact that u can run different batteries.although i dont care for a dean plug. I dobelieve you have sold me on this one. What happened to the aluminum chassis
I wasnt able to get them installed without grinding down the pins in the dog bone. The pins are literally longer than the interior diameter of the cups. I reached out several times to the manufacturer and haven't heard back once. After a significant amount of research, it seems like the logical install might be wrong. It seems like the smaller opening facing towards the diff is the way it's supposed to be installed, but like I mentioned - I have not heard anything from the manufacturer. I'm traveling for work at the moment, but I will update this description and make a new video when I find out.
@@rorymurphy27 I think something changed between the reference parts. Or the manufacturing tolerances on the length of the dog bone pins are insanely loose

I see you have the bog rock also! Mine overheated i put badlands on it
.forgot to loosen the slipper toba half turn ...
When these ragnroks need to be replaced I was looking at getting the SC version of the Badlands. I kinda like the narrow tire on this rig.
@@kylegeldmaker i agree. Plus its less rotational mass

I'll do that. I knew it fit funny. I guess some people don't have issues.

Well my Saturday is filled up now. I guess it shouldn't take too long.
Just used my dremmel and a grinding stone and worked perfectly. Why didn't I think of that?
And one more thing .. change your connectors to xt90 . Runs cool
I want to try some xt150s, I think it'll make the cables neater and allow me to run single packs or double packs without those loops.
I watched a video of a guy putting 220A through an xt90 connector before it failed
@@rorymurphy27 that's pretty crazy. Do you have the link?
