thank you so so much for being a sweet loving friend to animals, and for providing us all with the opportunity to make for the homeless and for ourselves. I live in the UK so I will practice making one for my 11-year-old labrador who feels the cold and her age, and then I shall try to find a charity that will want them too.
I finally made the coat for Lova. Took about 3 hours. It's cute. I sewed it by hand, four layers, it's cold in NW MT. It's made of an old blanket for the lining, and a chenille type towel with raised flowers outside. I put it together with blanket stitch, and ties, as for a quilt, sewed rings on, for the leash to hook into, with bells just above. When she shook off the cold, they rang merrily. Thank you for the pattern! I'll make her another. One to wear while one dries. Blessed New Year (tTt)
So nice to see for our defenseless wonderful doggies. Wished everyone of us would care for them. I do! For more than 30 years. Thanks for that pattern. Warmest material ever.

I made two, one for my yorkie Maltese and another for my Chihuahua-I am so happy with them, this pattern is great! I made an XS for my Chihuahua (back length:12" about 6-7 lbs) he's a lengthy little guy so I just added 1.5" to the back, I also shortened both sets of straps about 2" as I was using snaps instead of velcro. I made a Small for my Yorkie Maltese (back length: 12" about 15 lbs.) He's an old man, so he's stocky now. Unfortunately, I didn't notice how long the straps were with this one, so they are just really too long, but I made it work. As well the pattern is pretty big for a small, I was expecting to use a medium on him since that's what he usually wears. I added a 1" dart at the bottom 4" of the back to make it more form fitting to the curve of their bodies. All in all, I really enjoyed these patterns, super simple and easy, I used an old fleece blanket, it took about 2 1/2-3 hours to make each one, I'm a beginner so I'm proud of the results. I recommend shortening the straps a couple inches if you won't be using velcro. Lastly, I love the idea of these being made for homeless pets! I will definitely have to get more fabric to make some for the cause. Thank you so much! 😊

That's all that is needed for the small size. Once you out it together, it will make sense. The one I put together in the video was an X-Large so that's why it had more letters. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi. Yes. Probably best to measure him from the base of the neck to his tail and around his chest. You can print out a size you think will fit and then measure it once you print it out and tape together and then adjust it if needed. Print one out bigger than you think you may need because you can always cut it down if needed. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks so much.
Hi. I don’t have any measurements listed but if you measure your dog from the back of the neck to the end of his backside I can give you an idea of what size you may need.
Measure her length from the neck to the behind and then around and the take the xsmall and just cut it smaller all the way around to her measurements but make sure you add 1/2” to her measurements for seam allowance. Hope this helps.

Please hold the rotary cutter by the handle, and do NOT put your finger over the top of the rotary blade. I got the heebie jeebies just watching you. I don't care what design the cutter is, none of them can protect your finger if you slip or the screw isn't tight. Or if you're choking it at the neck instead of letting the handle take the pressure. I had a quilt store for years, and always made sure beginners knew that blade could remove a finger. One woman held the cutter just like you did in a class and sliced her finger in half when the blade hit a straight pin. Your flesh is only about a quarter inch from disaster. Please use the cutter correctly, it's really not worth the pain or losing a finger. It looks like you need one with a longer handle. I don't mean to be snarky, but I remember when rotary cutters became popular, and all the accidents.

Is the back length listed anywhere on the pattern pieces?
No. But you can measure the length on the pattern.
Let me know if you have any other questions
I'd like to make one for my friend's dachshund, what size would fit him? Small?
Probably so. If he’s pretty thin than a small should work. You can also measurement his length and the length of the patterns. Hope this helps.
I would measure the dog, but it's a surprise for a friend that just lost his wife. He and the dog have bonded closer and he may take him on the motorcycle with him. (in a sidecar).
Oh ok. You may can make a small and medium just in case.
Hi, I have a rescue dachshund, is there an xxs size pattern please?
Hi. The smallest is xsmall but you can cut it down a little more if
You like.
How much fabric should I get to make a medium size? Thanks!
I’d get at least a yard and a half to be on the safe side.
I can’t get them to print out. Shows only one page and it’s blank.
Did you scroll all the way to the bottom of the description and click on the links?
Can we use one layer of fleece? Two is too hot for Florida
Absolutely! She just said for San Diego they want two but anywhere else can do one if they like.
I am interested in the project that you had mentioned in this video but I don't know how to send them or what sizes to make could you love me w call to let me know or if they would need any dog dresses and thr sides of they do I live in north phila. And new to your chanelou name is skyline Marie vega
Here’s their phone number. Feel free to call them. 6192997012. Thank you so much for offering to help.
how much fabric did you use for this pattern?
Depending on the size. For the biggest about 2 yards and the smallest about 3/4 a yard. I’d get a little extra in case of mess ups.
do not know what i am going wrong can not get it to print all the pages hope someone can help
Email sent.
Hi, despite reading answers to other people querying where to find the pattern, I still can't find it. There is no arrow on the right of the video description, other than the share option arrow?
Do you have a RUclips account and are you signed in? That may be why you can’t see it. What size do you need and I can copy and paste it here for you? They range from xs to xxlarge. If that’s doesn’t work I can email it to you.
@@sewcraftiewithconnie8293 thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I don't think.i have a RUclips account. I have Boston Terriers, so medium might be a good start.
@@sharonvorster3471 you’re very welcome. That may be why you can’t see it. Try this. If it doesn’t work let me know and I can email it to you. You may have to copy and paste it.

There is no way I could see for that long without stopping 20 times for make sure my seams are still good. Haha
Lol. That’s the good thing about the lines. As long as you follow the lines your seams should be straight but I do know what you mean. ;).
Muito lindo
I tried to download pattern but all I got was black screen
Click on the link and wait a few seconds. Do you have google drive or google at all? The pattern is from a google drive. If that doesn’t work, email me and I’ll try to email it to you. Flemingconnieg@gmail.com. Sorry you’re having trouble.
Hi. Is there a link to the pattern please?
Hi. Yes. If you click on the arrow next to the title of the video and scroll all the way down, the patterns are at the bottom listed by size.
The arrow that says Share beside it? Sorry to be so much trouble. (tTt)
No trouble at all. No the arrow beside the name of the video.
Pattern I clicked on large only has 6 pages and go’s up to letter e
Medium don’t have all the letters u do either like your pattern shows
Am I missing something
If I try do print out x large that has 10 pages I just didn’t want x large
Maybe something on my end
Hmmm. I’m not sure. When I click on the links I’m seeing all the letters for all the sizes. If you like you can send me your email address and I can send the one you need to you that way or just tell me what size you’re wanting and I’ll try and copy and paste here. Sorry for the trouble.

What breed is your dog? It looks part terrier, but I can't tell the rest.
Adriana Julie Benson yes. We think she’s part fox terrier and part jack Russell
Adriana Julie Benson but not for sure. She’s a rescue.
Would you be able to get an XXS pattern?
These were done by another lady a few years ago but this can take the xsmall and just cut it about an inch shorter all the way around. Hope that helps.
Amazing, found them. I'm not very good at transcripting my own patterns by measurements so I just wanted a free pattern to help me cut out lol. Will be looking through your others too. Thank you so much. Xx
Great! Glad it helped you. Thanks so much.
Will a Chihuahua fit in the xs?
Amber Botha probably. When you print the pattern out measure the pattern and if you think it will be too big just cut it smaller. Hope this helps.
