I was searching for a way to attach a hood to my dog coat I made. I watched your whole video and I wish I would have seen it a week earlier. Great video!
Thank you. Will have a go but my Pug Peggy, won’t be as calm as yours. I watched your Pugs face and wondered how it was still for a few seconds! My coat won’t need a collar but I’m relieved you measured and drafted a pattern. The sales of Pugs will also increase! I saw her then decided to watch your video, thanks, well done. Clear and easy to follow, understand.
Great tutorial. Described and videoed plainly. Best on RUclips doggie coat pattern measurement sewing guide. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Mucho Gracias
Thank you so much for a very good job on explaining and close up video of what you were doing. Could you also do a video on how to make a dog raincoat please? I would really appreciate it. Also where did you get the waterproof material? Again great tutorial video. Thank you for sharing.
I would use the same pattern and just use a ripstop nylon or a flag cloth. You can find those fabrics here - www.onlinefabricstore.net/product-group-nylon.aspx
Sorry to be off topic but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
Hello. Can you explain why you cut open the fold along the centre seam. I cannot understand why this is done rather than keeping it in one piece. Many thanks
It is going to help it sit in the right place on your dogs back. It is also so you are able to add in the flap to attach your leash to the collar or harness your dog is wearing underneath. If you don't need that, you don't have to split that area.
You can absolutely do this as a beginner! Just make sure that you are measuring twice so you only have to cut once. Also, here is the link to the written article if you want to refer back to a specific step - www.onlinefabricstore.net/makersmill/how-to-make-a-waterproof-dog-coat/
That’s the calmest pug ever!
Arya is the goodest good girl
Nooo, I loved when you introduced her and she winked, my heart

Great tutorial. Easy directions. Now I hope it all comes together like yours! Beautiful job. Thanks for your great teaching skills...
What a gorgeous cute pooch.
Arya is a good girl :)
Pugs are the best.
Thanks so much for the specifics about measuring the dog. I'll be making a snow coat tomorrow. The collar is adorable.
I’m making coats for our female pugs and would like to cover their tummies (no fur!) and connect at the top - wish me luck!

Glad I could help!
My dog has a somewhat long fur but no double-coat. This will be useful. Thanks
OMG... Your baby is charming ... And of course your coat too
Thanks! She's a good girl :)

I have 2 Pugs, can’t buy pre-made covers. Thank you for your pattern.
My FAV. Pugs have the best personalities. You can do it! Give your fur babies some pets from OFS😍
Adorable ❤️
Its about to start to snow and my female dog is the only one with a jacket so i decided to diy my male dogs

@Edward Stanley instablaster =)
My velcro will bot stay shut - when dog moves. So I added a button, but is now puckered😣
Your doggie is so cute, too bad she's not cooperating with you. Thanks for this video-I've been looking for a size your own dog coat.
What is your measurement of your dog
I'm making one for my son dog for a surprise, the same kind of your dog

Did you use a walking foot? Great video.
No we didn't. You can do it without! (they are nice to have but not necessary)
Very nice job.
Thank you!
Can this be sewn by hand if you don't have a sewing machine at hand?
Sure! It will probably just take much longer but there is no reason you wouldn't be able to do it!
Hey what if I don't want to add collar?
And also I have a labrador so he gets all warm and sweaty very early so is there any other material that can be used for lining?
I would use fleece on both sides for your pup. Also you can just leave the collar out, just finish the opening as instructed minus the extra piece.
Is this for beginners??
