Thanks for taking her dog! ❤️ I'm sorry about your daughter also. my uncle did the same, he was my nanas youngest boy. A misadventure the Dr called it not an overdose. he was just having fun ,, on a massive level. ♥️♥️♥️
I would take the string out of the hood, cut a small hole at the bottom, and put it through the waist band so you can tie it up where it's a bit saggy. But overall good hack.
Great idea! Thnx so much! That helps so much with the hang down. I have a Dogo Argentino and American Bulldog mix so she's a big girl but the waist part is always too big. I am definitely going to try your recommendation. 😊
Remembering this. My buddy is slimmer, and things, and I have some sweatshirts that are being recycled to help keep him warm. He is lab, Corso. But I have discovered there is not a good range of clothes and stuff for big babies. Hermes freezes. Soooo beautiful babies and maybe a sweatshirt for him, will help when he goes potty, he is allergic to grass...
She is, yes, sooo cute! You're such a good mom, & so good with diy for your"Precious!" Thanks for your demonstration of the finished alterations; your 'how-to" is simple & to-the-point...thank you!
🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰 Thank you Sky .. great job 👏!! TYVM 💜 for the info 👏.. so appreciated.. My Buddha looks very close to yours.. with white.. same build.. the nights are starting to get cold here .. The first thing he did was go outside and sit in the Sun. I have a bunch of my grandkids sweaters that they've outgrown that are going to be his now. And my Bailey girl, she gets just as cold 🥶.. so it looks like homemade sweaters for these two I'll be making homemade sweaters. And yes I absolutely hate when you order something and it comes in looking like they could have warned that when they were puppies😤😵💫🤔🤯.. that cost a lot..
I absolutely love this video! Thank you! I've decided to make matching Christmas sweaters for my BIG GIRLS and I can't wait to use this style! Like you said its always FOR TINY PUPS!
I am literally dealing with the exact same thing right now lol I just received an XXL hoodie for my medium dog and it's soooo tiny. This is the second try ordering her clothes so I'ma try this instead! Thank you so much 💖 Edit: omg my dog has itchy skin and on meds too that's why I'm trying to get her something to wear 😊
What I have noticed is a lot of companies that make things for dogs they don't take into account the sheer side of most bullbreeds. I tend to buy from places that only deal with our types of dog's
For the waist being to long and loose, you can fold up the bottom and sew along the existing seam then cut the excess off then fold it down. You can then cut a small slit in the bottom and put an elastic through.
I have a 10 year old pitbull who's had year-round severe allergies all his life. A few years ago I started him on citopoint...a shot every 3 months...and the itching is gone. It isn't a steroid just suppresses the urge to itch and I can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. Give it a go! Its a bit pricey...about $620 a year ($155-ish every 3 months) but my boy's quality of life is MUCH much better.
Thank you for your recommendation! Sadly our Blue Skye has passed away. This video will remain online to help other dog owners and your comment may help as well! Thank you 🙏
@@themccorkells4398 I'm so very sorry for your loss, she was such a beautiful girl so happy and sweet! I have 3 Pitbulls. Well, actually they are pitbull cross girls. Luna and Lyla are 5.5 yo German shepherd/Pitbull cross and littermates. Luna is actually my son's service dog. First off, THANK YOU. I’ve been scouring the internet for hours and hours trying to find anything for my baby girl. She’s my gorgeous hippo/land seal/manatee/blue nose pit. She’s my daughter and it hurts my heart that I cannot provide her with clothing which she LOVES. It’s not because I love her in clothes, she literally asks me to put clothes on her. How am I supposed to find clothing, when everything is for small dogs, overly expensive (I don’t even spend that much on my clothing) and basically impossible to find. So I thought, I’m a sewer, why don’t I just sew her clothing. I have no clue where to start. No patterns for a dog her size, patterns can be very expensive, and I’ve never sewn clothing for a dog before so I don’t know what to do even. That’s been my struggle. I’m at a point where I’ll bite the bullet, order something super cheap that fits her, cut it up and use it as a pattern. Then my sister in law actually recommended your channel and you’ve helped me get started on the process. So thank you!!! Also, my girls armpits, inguinal area and ears are ALWAYS itchy. It’s a pitbull thing. Poor babies, some days she’s just a walking scab. Horrible. Not even allergy meds touch it. Tried cytopoint and everything else. I’ve always thought if she wore more clothing, that could at least stop her from scratching and licking. Even pjs at night would help a lot. So, Lea and I thank you! And what a beautiful baby girl you have❤️ (Sorry this was so long)
I’m so happy that you found this video helpful! I can totally relate to the issue of finding large dogs clothes! I hope that Lea enjoys her new dog sweaters that Mom made especially for her ❤️
what size sweatshirt did you buy? and is it tight around the arms? your dog is the exact same size as mine. and when they go pee does it hit the sweatshirt or is it short enough not to get wet?
It’s depends on the sweater for size, normally a medium to large for my girl. I find hoodies normally have loose arms so it’s not tight around her arms. Because she is female she does not pee on the sweatshirt but for males you could cut into the belly a bit as a previous comment mentioned. I hope this helps 😊🙌
My pittie is a boy and he is on apoquel for itchy skins. But he still licks while on it. What is your girl on? I had tried the shots too. Those were expensive and didn't worked either. I know he is allergic to chicken so i was feeding him fish/venison/beef already but wonder if anyone else has better suggestions?
Hi I don’t know if you’d see this but I have a bully and she was born with allergies do you have any recommendations or natural remedies that helped your dogs please let me know she’s only 11 months and is itching bad she’s on medication currently thank you!
I have the same size dog but my dog is a boy. So how would I make him a sweater so he doesn't pee on it . The sweater you made would be to long. Any advice???

I know he is allergic to chicken so i was feeding him fish/venison/beef already but wonder if anyone else has better suggestions?
When the video says yellow i thought my phone had a demon in it
Hi I don’t know if you’d see this but I have a bully and she was born with allergies do you have any recommendations or natural remedies that helped your dogs please let me know she’s only 11 months and is itching bad she’s on medication currently thank you!
I highly recommended seeking help from a Vet Dermatologist or your local vet 😊 I hope she gets well soon 😊
💛
I have the same size dog but my dog is a boy. So how would I make him a sweater so he doesn't pee on it . The sweater you made would be to long. Any advice???
Katie Bell had a great suggestion for male dogs in the comments below! Check her comment out!! 😄

👍❤️
Awesome! Fyi a male will pee on the waist if not snug against the belly.
If you have a male dog you need to cut and sew a bit so they dont pee on the inside of it.
Tried this.. but my dog kept getting her legs caught in the hoodie from how big it was around
what about if dog has to pi ?? hell get it wet ! it’s very cute but i want it to be cut midriff so he doesn’t pi on it ! but thank you
Whatttttt did you just chop the sleeves off and call it a dog sweater
F*ckin rights I did! 🙈😂
She is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
She does not look like a Pit Bull to me. I think could be a Staffordshire Terrier and Mastiff Mix. She's too large and bulky for a Pit Bull.
She is a purebred American Pitbull Terrier 😊
@@themccorkells4398 that's the biggest Pit Bull I've ever seen.
@@themccorkells4398 yes, I agree.
Lol puppy
I have a pit that looks just like your beautiful girl. Except mine is a male. His name is Tiller. I’ll send a pic.
*y e l l o www 😑*
🤣🤣🤣
If your dogs armpits are super itchy she probably has a yeast infection.
Your girl is beautiful
Look at that dog. So poor. Manipulate by a human to wear extra large sweater
Too much talking
She is beautiful
