I found some fun Slytherin fabric at my local store to use, but you can totally use any sort of plain or patterned fleece for this DIY project 💚

I measured my dog, roughly from neck to base of tail, 40cms. Then imported the pattern into photoshop and adjusted till the length was 40cm. Printed on 4xA4 pages and stuck them together. Thinking i would need to adjust something, i used an old sweater in case of mistakes, but it actually turned out perfect. Perfect fit everywhere. So i found another 2 old sweaters and got 3 in total made in a morning.
I just used the width of the foot for the seam allowance, as the fabric has stretch, you can't really go wrong.

So glad I found you! I made a dog sweater for a chihuahua using a fleece jacket that 2asnt my color green. It had both ribbed and fluffy fleece. I used the ribbed for the body and the fluffy for the trim. Tres chic! Thank you!

Super helpful, thank you! I hate when videos just cut around an old coat - what about when I don't have an old coat to get a pattern out of? 🤣 I modified a bit and added front sleeves and a snood and it turned out fantastic.

Awesome thank you! Going to raid the cupboard tomorrow and make something for my boy. Not super cold in Australia compared to other countries but he's a fussy spoilt baby that doesn't like to go out of a night when it's chilly in winter without a coat on lol

Also of your dog is a teacup a really small dog you can use socks cut the toe off and on the bottom cut the arm holes I recommend buying cute clean socks with cute designs!

Wait! At 2 mins 50 secs you pin the sides not lined-up, then stitch and trim it so that it’s now much narrower.

@@FabSakker mine did not come out right. Lol, I measured my jack russel and the measurement was 44 cm. I sized it like in the video but it is way too big for him. It came out nice, but way too big.
How can I make that pattern for a large dog?
This method has worked for my 3 dogs who are all different sizes: Measure your pup from the base of their neck to the base of their tail. This will be the measurement of the long edge of the back pattern. Scale up the pattern according to this measurement. (I normally do this on my ipad and trace it onto baking paper.) You may need to add a little extra fabric on the sides if they are a stockier breed.
