Am I the only one that has full conversations "with" you as you are picking? LOL Me (when you flipped that bit of pipe over to expose the cool red valve) "Ooh! Grab that!" You, "Ooh that's a neat handle." Me, "It sure is!" You, "Oh that needs to be repaired (about the Cosco stool)." Me, "Grab it! Someone will repair it." You, "We'll grab it ... maybe someone will repair it." Thanks for the adventure during my lunch break!

Me too. Also I “talk” with Taco and my other fav dumpster diver, Breafkast 😅 So many times my husband thinks I’m talking to him. Other times I scream when they don’t see o left behind something I really like. 😜

Renee that is so amazing that y’all have the opportunity to put trash out at the curb! I am amazed. I also love the way you and your fellow vendors keep each other in mind and support each other. We just went to our third auction since the COVID-19 shut everything down. Unfortunately we are getting shut down again so I don’t know how long we will have to wait if they really do completely shut us down again. Also-Wal-Mart sells the vinyl in the sewing area. It’s usually at the end of the isle where the thread and zippers are.

I buy broken jigsaw puzzles at the end of rummage sales. I use the pieces in paper crafting projects. Sort them by color and size.

Family lore - my younger brother used the parent's prized Funk & Wagnalls encyclopedias to do a Geography assignment (1980) & his teacher was amused/horrified... using a map of Africa from 1969 did not lead to an A on the assignment. He got a REDO instead. Encyclopedias are still kind of cool. I keep a set in my classroom, just to hear students say "GEEZ how old are you really, Ms N?"
Dictionary is a must for every junk journal maker, great pages and words. Love your table and great that Taco S. came to help you out. The rusty metal wheel is so cool. The house is perfect for your Halloween deco Renee!

The stool is vintage, my Mom had one I sat on back in the 60’s.

I have some gardening gloves like those and they’re my favorite. Thin enough to actually grip and pull weeds with, and the rubbery surface provides some protection against prickly things. Nice table! And nice friend to come haul it for you. It’s good that y’all look out for each other.

Taco is such a good person and friend to have. I like that you rescue these primitive treasures. They have such character and are still useful. BBD is out there saving the antiques from the landfill also. Pennsylvania just rocks with treasures!
People in Mike The Scavenger's comment section said you're an awesome person and they're right! It's a good idea to keep a basic set of tools for not only emergency vehicle repairs, but they can help with curb items too! A #2 Phillips screwdriver, a standard one (1/4 or 3/16 inch) a pair of pliers and a small socket set can save the day! Most tables like that you can unbolt the legs pretty easy if you turn it upside down. This is the first time I heard of Taco Stacks but I like him already! Curb shopping is so rewarding and you find amazing things. I also love thrift stores and auctions, great places to find things to sell at flea market/CL/eBay.
Thanks for stopping by! I will have to check out Mike The Scavenger's channel, looks like he is a dumpster diving expert! There is finally a dumpster in my area, but it looks like it will just be for a home renovation so I'm not expecting any vintage or antiques, but you never know!
Your old new to you table is gorgeous and would look lovely with a table runner to give it a shabby shea vibe. Please after cleaning and putting it in your home show us what it looks like. Pewter scrap flex between 3-5 bucks per lb. GREAT finds and GREAT video.

Renee when you see another roll of chicken wire you may be able to use it.
Wall cabinets you would have to replace glass in for say beauty products earrings etc. Don't replace the glass, cut out a piece of chicken wire and use instead. You can hang stuff on it and it looks shabby chic.
My wife and I follow Taco and she always says he is the kind of man a mother hopes her son will be. Kind, honest and a hard worker, obviously a very good friend!

Those 50's books were so well made. I have a set on Lands and People. I read those type of things. I need random wood to make a box. Those old industrial handles I can't find anymore.

Ha, Ha Renee, I laughed out loud for real at 8:22 when you saw the hamburger puzzle and said, " A hamburger?.......I'm hungry". The way you stated it, I could really FEEL how hungry you were...and since I have a fast metabolism I am ALWAYS HUNGRY, I could relate to that feeling.
I'm not one to make a hamburger, actually rarely eat them. But every now and then, I do feel a craving for a good hamburger!
Thrilled you found that table my Grandparents had a similar one, I can remember they used to paint it every spring when spring cleaning rolled around. They would paint it either green or white. Congrats on your cool find!
You can never go wrong with the color green, my favorite!
I had the same table painted a forest green on the side panels and the rest in a varnished wood color, was beautiful.
Maybe to do a video on restoring the table would be interesting , I'd recommend you watch dashner design and restoration for tips ( he has a great voice )😁 well done taco stacks 👍
I'm just going to wipe it down, clean off the wood top, and into my kitchen it goes! The white paint will stay, I like how it looks so no repainting needed.

You could fill in the crack with some ' plastic wood ' filler and it It would be real easy to take an electric sander (because it's all flat) and smooth it down and then put a nice finish to it. And of course film it for a before and after video.

Some older encyclopedias for kids can sell on Etsy. I’ve sold some. If they have cute vintage pictures in them people like them. Books that have stories in them go really well on Etsy. Especially “young folks library book” sets if you ever run across those can go for a pretty penny. Many homeschool families like them for their classic stories. I love the table you found also! It’s nice you have a friend like Taco Stacks to come to your rescue with a larger vehicle. (I enjoy his channel also. ) 😊

That table looked like you could take the legs off... there are screws in the corners underneath where if you remove them the legs come free from the top.....much easier to move as 2 pieces!
That red valve opener would make a great coat, apron, or towel holder!

On some of those older tables, you can remove the legs...by unfastening the corner nuts and hardware. I have that same garden castle, but a larger version in my yard, no socket hardware. Did you do the mini artwork on your nails? Fancy-dancy!

I am so glad that people in my community are so dedicated to reuse and recycling. We have reuse centers around our county where we drop off items and they are sold to raise $$$$ for local non profits. Win Win !

The Cisco stool is a great find but if you don’t already have the vinyl and cushioning it might be better to sell as is. You’ll have to purchase much more than you need and may not be able to make a profit!
I'm guessing it's a lamp because of the small holes in the windows. The holes are too small for fish to swim thru. I don't know how well chalkwear does in water or if the paint is bad for fish. Like the new gloves. Great haul. 🌻🌼
