As teenager of the late 60's and early 70's this brings back so many happy memories. In the back of the old 16 and Tiger Beat mags there was a section of classified adds to find pen pals. At one point I had over 60 friends and that stationary is really bringing back the memories. We would hand write letters to each other that would go on forever. Did not matter if we wrote about our families, school friends or crushes on Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy. Finding that perfect stationary was SO groovy! Wow I never thought I would use that word again. Thanks for the memories Renee!

That stationary sure brought back so many memories. I had so many as a teenager and wrote lots of letters to family and friends. I had some of the zodiac but mine was the Aquarius symbol. I remember having a round stationary and when writing letters on that would write it in a circle. It was the main way to keep in touch, especially if you didn’t live near each other as a phone call would sometimes be long distance and could end up being very expensive.

The silver prong things are to fix your divets on the green when you golf. The little plastic pieces are ball markers. You would put it where your ball was to let another player go next and not have your ball in the way.

So happy you picked the golfbags, I think they are beautiful. Titleist golfballs cost here between 2 to 5 Euros a piece! Pitchfork (those two metal pieces) is used to repair the green during the golf round. And the plastic pieces are ballmakers (I could use one!), well Taco Stack knows that better. Pretty stationary and great garden magazines. It is a real treasure house , hopefully they keep on putting bags for you. Have a great weekend Renee!

The last magazine with jello salads recipes reflected a new trend in western cuisine in the 50's - that of creating vegetables in savory jelly to accompany meats. It revived a Victorian trend of 100 years earlier when great ornate creations were served at table causing diners to gasp! I often wondered if they gasped when they had to eat them....... Lovely video - I learned some things about golf from the comments. Stay safe.

Funny story about the golf bags......about 20 years ago, a friend of mine stopped to have breakfast on his way to play golf. He bought a lottery ticket (at the store next to where he ate) and stuck it in his golf bag. A few days later, he remembered the ticket and checked the numbers. It turned out that the ticket was one of 5 tickets that shared a $125 Million Dollar prize!! So......make sure to check those pockets on every golf bag you find!!

Always amazed at the stuff you find in the trash!
That golf course , bay wood greens , is in lower Delaware. I have a good friend that is into golf and golf stuff. He probably has a 1,000 clubs in his basement
What is worth money is mystery to me, people think that wood shaft clubs are worth the most but usually not necessarily true.
When I was blacksmithing I was commissioned to make an early 1800s antique club. Was fun and guy liked it
The one thing with the bulbous end with holes is a Tea Strainer straw. Is used with tea made out of loose leaves. Victorian ones made out of sterling can be worth good money.
We’re popular with South America gauchos cowboys too
I think they are experiencing a resurgence with environmental concerned folks, you know the anti plastic bag crowd 😉, since less waste
The little “deer” is a chamois , sort of a goat antelope from the mountains of Europe.

Also, the face jugs are actually called Toby Jugs here in the UK, an old work collegue used to collect them, in the end his collection got so vast that his wife got a large shed built for him to display them,, she said they gave her the creeps. He died a few years back, after his wife and I often wonder what happened to them, some were over 200 years old. I hope they went to someone who appreciated them.

The protractor looking item, is likely a ruling pen, which graphic designers used, with India ink, and a VERY steady hand, to create lines and borders on layouts for magazine layouts as well as product ads, catalogue pages etc. This was all done pre-computers. Editorial layouts were all done by hand with a T-square, a triangle, a ruling pen/ink and the other components such as type, the stat copies, which were scanned from actual photos, which were used in the layouts. Hope you enjoyed a brief graphic design lesson, LOL

Good usable golf bags are pretty saleable. You took vintage bags, but recent bags in good condition will sell, because new ones are at least $80. In any case, you should always check for left-behind wallets, phones, jewelry, watches, and money. Many guys pay for their round and just throw the change in their bag and forget about it. I'm always finding singles, fives and tens in my bag.
The little things that you could not identify are ball marks for marking your ball on the green.
The Royal Doulton character jugs used to be good money back in the 80s, but nowadays they go for nearly nothing - except for the rarest and most valuable ones.
