The Once Grand Abandoned Robinsons Plantation House Left Forgotten in The Carolinas *Built in 1858

  • This neat old farm house was built in the mid 1800’s around 1858 just before the onset of the civil war. Originally the house was just a simple one story home but after success in business and farming the family was able to enlarge the house. Adding the large portico and second story porch out front. Some of the sons of the family supposedly fought in the civil war and the father was a veteran of the Mexican American war. Over the years the farm stayed in the same family until finally being sold off in the early 2000’s and much of the land around was developed for new housing and now the house sits sadly waiting for whatever its fate maybe. Really neat old place with some cool outbuildings as well that I check out at the end of the video. Hopefully this place is restored and saved. Thank you for watching. Like and leave a comment below for me if you enjoyed. Thank you very much.

If my eyes aren't deceiving me, the title of two of those books left behind in one of the outbuildings was "Surgery of the Alimentary Tract", so it's probable the place was a doctor's office at one time. And Kappy, i was getting concerned when yesterday came and went without your posting a video. Thankfully, here we are!

Great little sitting room to read while timing something to cook or wait for clothes to be done. I think the old newspapers upstairs were out of old boxes or used as drawer liners-the house has been inhabited much more recently. Or else they weren’t using the upstairs for the most part. Such a beauty. Looks like the last remodel was in the 70s. That house shared many lifetimes. Sad it's in such condition.

I’m so happy you didn’t bust your face 🥴I wonder if it was a surgeons home by the books in the office. That couch that looked like the wallpaper almost blended into the wall. That one book was titled“What Do You Say After You Say Hello”🤔Hmmm. I never saw a landline put right above the kitchen sink. Good thinking. You could be on the phone & doing dishes or cooking 😂 I’m glad to see you Kappy. I missed you yesterday. Take care& stay safe

We had a yellow wall phone just like that in our kitchen, back in the seventies. Dialing took forever 😆

I don't like to see a lot of things that are still good to be left alone - sometimes even the landlord is surprised that there are no other children or relatives to take care of the property.

Agree this one looks like it was last updated in 80s. Seems like yesterday, not 40 years ago. 😊 Enjoyed the tour. Cool old house. ❤

Wondering if that old newspaper that had an article "Country Doctor" could have been about the office being a doctor's with the medical books?

If this house was mine I would give it a different layout on the first floor like moving the kitchen into one of the larger rooms and the first staircase I would knocked the wall down so the other side of can be opened and the second staircase get rid of it anyways what beautiful awesome house great video kappy .
