It makes sense for the supercharger guest app to be distinct from the Tesla app, the latter being oriented to control of your Tesla vehicle. The guest app could be more optimized for its intended audience.
Separate app for non Tesla at Tesla charging station needs to cover: 1) Identify car/owner. 2) Tailor charge rate to that car and it's charge status. 3) Charge the owner the electricity at the "right" rate. And many more details. Note that Europe has standardised the charge ports on EV sold here so that even Tesla come with CCS2 ports. This simplifies charging options once all charging stations have rolled out their apps for all EV's.

Since they are both legal soon and CCS2 is ugly.

probably not this decade. hopefully not this decade. There will be job loss, but not humanistic robots methinks. It's best if it happens gradually too, and with more equity if at all possible.
Well what people would be afraid of is the point where machines will be self-thinking. Full Self Driving is the closest thing we have now to machines getting to the point of self-thinking. So I am more afraid of FSD than I am about the robots. But to be honest my fear level is like 1 out of 1 million.
Here is why IAM worried about robots. They will all literally be controlled wirelessly and receive wireless commands. That will allow the same mind frame hackers that make computer viruses, to reprogram them for sinister purposes. One of the first AI tech laws that should be written is, any robot must have an EXTERNAL off switch that can be manually operated to disable the robot. No robot should be turned off by digital signal only, ... all things software can be overwrote.
Scared or not of robots is the wrong question. Scared of AI, THAT is the question. I am not scared of AI, but I definitely expect it to vastly change human society, and those changes are entirely unpredictable. Human society will be more different in 50 years than today as is the difference between today and 50,000 years ago.
Am I worried about sentient humanoid robots in this decade? No. In my lifetime? Absolutely. I'm more worried about technology integration into human bodies.
Elon is doing technology integration into human bodies *specifically* to serve as a counter to superintelligent AGI getting out of control. The idea is that we would always have control over it because we would integrate it into our brains. I guess that sounds pretty scary to a lot of people though.
Am I worried about AI Robots? Hell No! Does the Terminator really exist? Hell No except in a Movie writers mind as do Monsters and Invisible men and they too don't exist! There are too many horror stories presumed to be real whereas in in actual face the scariest thing out there is missing your Dinner!
No worry about AI/robots in this decade. We don't understand what consciousness is and we certainly can't program it. I doubt we'll achieve consciousness in my lifetime (say 30 years). Without consciousness, robots can't make decisions on their own initiative.
No worries, whether Data and Lor, iRobot, or Terminator series becomes the documentary of 2025, we'll make enough profit from the stock to buy tickets to Mars and escape this rock with Elon.
A robot isn't AI. A robot's form can take virtual any form. An AI can be embedded into virtually anything. Don't get hung up about a robot's shape, size, or strength. Get hung up about if a robot, your cell phone, or paper clip can out smart you.
Having a robot doing the dishes, mop the floor and take care of the garden, seems an atractive prospect to me :-)

My Tesla Solar Galss Roof w/ 2 Powerwall+, physical install completed June 26th. STILL Tesla hasn't completed electrical paper work and sent to my local utility. So I can't turn it on and will be 30-60 days once local utility gets peper work from Tesla. Love my Model 3!!!!!!!!!! Tesla Solar :(
Could you cover a topic about Taiwan Tesla changer policy. At first all Tesla vehicles to Taiwan are all TPC changer. Then Taiwan government changed the regulations. But we Taiwan citizens made efforts to let the government alter the regulations. But Taiwan Tesla said it would only CCS2 for Taiwan in the future. I think we should have the right to choice TPC. Since they are both legal soon and CCS2 is ugly.
Does any of you know if you still can qualify for "early access"? See 3:49 in video. And how did people get "early access"?
I'm 59 and I'm counting on Elon and Tesla for my future health care. I want a Teslabot to change my diaper, feed me and clean the gutters on my retirement home!
I don't see anyone crapping on Facebook for their AI project.
probably not this decade. hopefully not this decade. There will be job loss, but not humanistic robots methinks. It's best if it happens gradually too, and with more equity if at all possible.
Great video!!!! I wish i can join ur patreon, buy i cant afford it right now. I have been ur viewer since u were just few hundred subs!!!!!
Can the Delavan/ Janesville area get some supercharger love....Wisconsin is seriously lacking.
What’s the diff from plaid vs reg model S? Why does everyone keep calling every change “plaid”?
Maybe the separate app for non-tesla owners will have ads?
Love you all godbless
Nope can’t wait for the robots to get here
Will all regions get the FSD beta button?
Am I worried about sentient humanoid robots in this decade? No. In my lifetime? Absolutely. I'm more worried about technology integration into human bodies.
Elon is doing technology integration into human bodies *specifically* to serve as a counter to superintelligent AGI getting out of control. The idea is that we would always have control over it because we would integrate it into our brains. I guess that sounds pretty scary to a lot of people though.
Didn't panasonic moved out of solar business last year and Tesla took over the entire GF1?
“Decade?” No way.
“Lifetime “? Depends when I die.
Elon is just a man with a brain that sees what the future holds.
A robot isn't AI.
A robot's form can take virtual any form.
An AI can be embedded into virtually anything.
Don't get hung up about a robot's shape, size, or strength.
Get hung up about if a robot, your cell phone, or paper clip can out smart you.
