  • Dalaman in Turkey has unexpected gems. A mysterious train station that never saw a train, delightful hot springs and a stunning beach. Come along as I discover that Dalaman is so much more than an airport. Timo and I wild camp by the beach with 'Red the Van'.
Use google maps to find them using the Turkish names and simply follow the instructions
    Train Station: Dalaman Tren İstasyonu
    Hotsprings: Dalaman Kapıkargın Kükürt Kaplıcası
    The beach: Kayacık Beach
If you are using this video to plan your own trip, please use the terrain responsibly and try to LEAVE NO TRACE.
    Thanks!
After building 'Red the Van' it was time to check him out and learn how Van Life works. Is Red reliable? Can we travel this way? All things we like to find out before we do any lengthy road trips.
You can find the full self-build series here: shorturl.at/iVW46

What a funny story about the train station. I would like to have seen the owner's face when he turned up at his , "mansion".

OMG I live in Dalaman and had no idea about the "Train Station". I went to Google Maps and entered "Tigem". And sure enough it came up as government. I must check it out. If they kick me out, I will just say "Üzgünüm" and leave, ha ha. Thats so much for that! Also the hot springs will be great during October and November as most of the tourists will be gone. These are great things to do in the Autumn. Hartlijk bedankt hoor!!!

Wow really enjoyed this and what an impressive building. springs look interesting too. I live in an old railway town in Cheshire in England. Our station is quite boring in comparison. Love watching your adventures especially at present because my hiking in the nearby hills, is difficult due to flooding. Hope you got home safely Regards Dave

What an interesting find you made & a beautiful building. Loved today's video.
I'm hoping to walk up to the cafe near the airport sometime in the next 2 weeks from Sarigerme, if not too far and i can get across the dalaman stream
