Thank you for your short but concise videos, they are all very nice. No country you go to will give you a sense of belonging, they are all the same. Timo is your loyal friend who will never leave you alone, so the title could be “Let's go,Timo” if you need a name.🌹🌿🐕🦋
Good Morning from Spain 😘 New name...maybe just Ellis in Europe . You will be so close to many countries and explore what they have to offer! Gonna be great 😘😘
Ellis you are a fantastic ambassador for Turkiye and we love watching your channel, looking forward to your adventures in France for more holiday ideas! Lots of love to Timo and Ken ❤
Home and Dry in France Thank you for all the videos. I have really enjoyed them and found them uplifting (and look forward to more, including from France).
Oh will miss your travels in Turkey - yet can’t wait to have you share France with us. ‘Travels with Ellis ‘ - then you can keep going for all of us. Thank you for sharing from Australia.
“At Home Where I Roam” I’ve been watching since the Lykia Yolu videos. Thanks for all the great videos of Turkiye. I look forward to seeing France from your view!
Hello again ❤ I've just read an important update on residency in Turkey for retired persons and property owners. I looked to see if your email was listed but couldnt find it
Today I passed the place where Steve/Pete from Australia broke his ankle on that rocky descent along the Lycian Way. I thought of you and all the wonderful adventures in Turkey that you've shared. Thank you for taking us along with you and Timo.. How about 'Ellis in Wanderland'.....😊
Ellis and Timo adventure. Another good video. Its such a shame, we have just come back from a 28 day holiday in Hisaronu Fethiye and it breaks my heart every time we come home back to England. I don't know how you're going to feel, after all the years you lived there, when you come to leave.😢
Travel with Ellis ? Ellis the explorer ? Nature wandering ? Ellis Travels ? Life with Ellis ? Hiking Ellis ? Hiking with Ellis ? like you doing my head in ! LOL
I feel for you. I see you've got to be in your bonnet. I went on holiday this July to one of the beach resorts it's absolutely ruined so commercialised now they don't be careful they will ruin Turkey. Too much corruption
Hoi Ellis, bedankt voor de prachtige verhalen in Turkije ❤. Maar wat dacht je van 'Still Ellis', als je in Frankrijk door gaat. Heel veel sterkte en succes met het regelen van alles! 😘
Here the same answer as I just gave somebody else. In my mind I see someone on sandals with the wrong socks on and a pith helmet hat somewhere in Afrika.
Hi Ellis, have been watching your channel since lockdown when we had a holiday to Dalyan cancelled and went on RUclips to watch a few videos of the area. I christened your channel “hard women walking” because your videos from the Lycian Way and Carian Way were truly epic. I’m a keen hiker and have walked a number of long distance paths in the UK but nothing as tough as that. The fact that both of you kept on going and completed them was fantastic to watch. I shall miss your videos of Dalyan, I’ve been going there on holiday for over thirty years and have great memories hiking around the area. Good luck to you and Ken on your future travels
Ellis.....my great adventures. Ellis I am saddened to hear you're leaving Dalyan, it won't be the same without you and your great adventure videos. It is starting to feel like Türkiye doesn't want us in their country anymore 😢 I wish you, Ken and Timo all the best for the future and I can't wait to see your next adventures. Kendine iyi bak. ❤❤
When you said that you are looking for a new name for your channel, it then hit me that you are really leaving Turkiye 😢 I have really enjoyed your videos about Turkiye ❤🎉 How about "Home is where Ellis is!" It's a mouthful yeah 😊
Sorry that you are leaving turkey. But happy you are being positive and have found somewhere to have new adventures. Ellis and Timo will now explore francais. Thanks for your wonderful content over the last 3 years. I was walking in knypersley country park recently and got talking to a man and lady who said they had spent time in your village in turkey . They spoke well about you. Unfortunately they had to leave. The man was struggling a little and said he had caught sepsis. Didn't catch his name but he referred to his partner as Jan. It's a small world I hope you enjoy exploring the larger world. It is turkeys loss. Take care and good luck
"Ellis at home in..." that would make people curious and I have the impression that you are very adaptable so actually you can be "at home" everywhere ....
Overheids bureaucratie is waarom wij Turkije in 2011 verlieten.
@@AtHomeInTurkey No, we had a invitation from a turkish friend. He gave up his home, so there is no posibility any more. Secondly, we are boatpeople and there is the strange law, that you have to stay outside turkey 185 days when you check out with boat from TR and will come back to TR when you have ikamet. This we don't want to have any more. Now we try 90/180. 3 month turkey is enough!
Me too. But I have to say that this is a known spot for it and people go there to feed them. There is also a place close by with shelter for them. Horrible as it is, they will not starve.
Hi Ellis...I've been "binge watching" your channel since I found it this past Saturday, and it has been wonderful and sad a the same time. I'm sorry you have to leave and I loved how you differentiated between the stupid "government" and the people/culture...Well done...and they are very different. One of my best friends grew up there but had to leave and is now splitting time between the U.S. and Germany where his mother is from. The Languedoc-Roussillon region of France is stunning, and I'm shocked you can afford to liver their more efficiently than Eastern Europe, but having traveled a bit I know that there are always "exceptions to the rule" on most things. As for a "new name" for the channel, having watch at least half of your videos I would suggest..."At Home Where I am," as you have a gift for presenting very nice "travel content." If you ever need to ask a "what if" question about traditional or natural architecture design or restoration in the proper context, or any subjects related to wilderness travel and homesteading, please do reach out. I'm getting ready to retire over the next year and plan on moving to someplace (or places ??? LOL) in Europe for the part of each year and then partly in SouthEast Asia as well doing tour kayaking along the way which is a beloved form of travel for me. Wish you the best...Blessings, j
Wow that's a whole story. And It does not make sense that we would be able to live in France, I agree. But fact is that houses are cheaper in most places if you don't go for the top locations. That would leave us some room to complement our income from the profit we can make from our sale here. I bought this land 30 years ago. A different Turkey and much cheaper.
@@AtHomeInTurkey Getting "chronologically old" does afford one not only the opportunity of hindsight, but also the reality of how much things change. "A different Turkey," in that context is to, a great degree in many (not all) areas could be suggested is an understatement...Personally I'm looking for something that is in the 150 to 300 year range and away from any major city by at least 30 minutes to an hour that needs restoration. My challenge is finding someone with that need as I don't wish to purchase land and a house outright or alone, as there is zero need for someone my age to "own" something like that. I've seen many for less than 1K (in Euro dollars) from Japan to Eastern Europe, but the range of restoration and size is just too big for me alone size wise. Good luck and looking forward to this morning video which are you most recent...Thank you for the reply.
Ik weet niet wat de regels in Frankrijk zijn, maar mocht je ergens relatief eenvoudig een 5 jaar residentie willen krijgen voor jezelf en je Amerikaanse man dan is dat mogelijk in Bulgarije :)
