    Your channel inspired me to “solar-up.” No second inverter but I did install a Victron Multiplus-II 24v/3000/70 (2x120), Litime 2x24V 200Ah batteries with 1500watts of Rich 250s and all the other Victron equipment to run the 12v system in my 5th wheel. Keep up the good work.

      Before you do your solar you may want to watch our solar review video thats coming up. We are still collecting data but should be out soon.

    There are a lot of people that just don’t care about anyone else but themselves. It’s a-shame. I hope the new spot works out.

      Thank you, having three makes RVing a little difficult, a lot of parks have a two pet limit. We love our rascals, thanks for watching.

    Brother, I am with you. A gnat farts and my wife wakes up. Many years ago I was working graveyards and didn't get enough sleep before a concert (Kansas/Styx) and I managed all of Kansas and about half way through Styx I sat down in my chair and slept through the remainder of a rock concert.

    We are totally the Loud ones sometimes! Not intentionally disrupting other people, but if someone comes over to talk face to face, we 100% appreciate that. Tell me what is a reasonable volume for the surround sound and we will get along just fine. If you guys go to bed at 6pm, I get it, just let me know and we wont work on anything or jam out after that ya know? The RV community is great and we all live WAY too close to each other ;)

    good move to just pull anchor and goto another spot, Thats why our homes have wheels. We had the same kind of neighbors and worse part of our story was all the other neighbors decided to just turn up their boombox and party harder to drown them out... wow! that was unreal. 8 different kinds of blasting music, people yelling over each other to hear their conversations... everyone for themselves...! not our kind camping so we just left.... Walmart parking lot was move peaceful than that place...

    Sometimes it is better to just walk away and not deal with an issue like that. Glad you took the route of moving to another site. I often wonder how that goes with permanent sites. We did our maiden trip this week and it was very quite since it was early in the season. 5 days close to home to do a shake down on the unit, truck and dog.

    If I was the owner of that site, I'd tell a person once.................then the cops come next...........If it still happens?
    Then its the Posse.......................then its a Gauaranteed fix....................and call it DONE !

    You know you can limit the amp input on the victron screen right? I do the same exact thing as you, but I just limit it to 10.5a, which is the minimum you can set it to. I have 3k watts of solar and 28.6kwh of batteries. Usually don’t pull more than 250kw from shore per month , while in Florida during summer.

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад

      Yes I’ve mentioned that several times in previous videos, but now that we have two Multiplus in Parallel this system isn’t that simple, all be explained in an up coming video.

    • @silverblue233131
      @silverblue233131 4 месяца назад

      Huh, I have 2 multiplus II 5000va, but not in parallel, we split the breaker panel evenly between the 2. Seems to be working well. 10000va is overkill for 2 ac RV, but I like having the overhead.

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад

      @@silverblue233131 yep, it’s complicated, had to get a Victron representative involved.

    • @TsaWind

      @@silverblue233131 I wish we had gone a little bigger, two 5000va Quattro's here. When we have shore power I had to turn off the warning for overload and DC ripple! Don't misunderstand me, we can run almost EVERYTHING at the same time, just for some reason, sometimes some loads hit at the same time and trigger a power assist overload for a brief time. Nothing ever shuts down, but it's technically overload, and too small of a battery bank. I.E. making coffee in the morning triggers the water heater, then coffee pot has a high draw, and I suppose the fridge and all the A/C just hit all at once! It takes it, but I get an email like every time.
      (Our current "Home" is 120f for highs and 90f for lows. Needless to say, we are drawing like 8,000 watts continuous with 4 A/C running full bore) Last contract was the opposite, full send on electric heating when it was -10f!

    You know victron did an update so you can prioritise solar over shore power. You could also limit amps in

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад +1

      It’s called “Sustain” mode which your referring too has it’s limitation and I’ll discuss this and the limitations of parallel inverters using Amp input limits in our solar power assist review video coming soon.

  • @reallymatt6494

    You were not “forced”, you decided to relocate. I was hoping you would have actually get to the info at the beginning not 9 minutes into video. However, the neighbors were rude and should have respected quiet hours especially after you were polite in asking them to lower noise. Happy travels, be safe.

  • @Thumpertom

    Ur gonna have that issue and more everywhere you go in these RV parks. What pisses me off is, not the fact people are rude and inconsiderate, the fact that I have to go say something to them in the first place. All adults here you say... Nope, not true at all.

    Do you think you could run 3 soft start AC’s with your setup?

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely, with two AC’s running it uses about 3000-3100 watts so we still have another 1700 watts free for whatever.

    What's better more voltage or more Watts on your solar panels?

    • @2hotscottpro
      @2hotscottpro 4 месяца назад

      Comes down to what your charge controller will do.
      4 45v panels with 150 v input has to be 2S2P

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад +1

      Sorry but that question doesn’t make any sense. Volts x Amps = Watt. If amps are the same then if you increase volt, then conversely watts increase also. Maybe if you rephrased the question.

    • @Time-machine1
      @Time-machine1 4 месяца назад

      Leaving the charge controller out of it cuz mine will handle any way I want to wire it. I just want to know if parallel or series would be. Series adds more voltage, where parallel adds more watts just wanted to know which way to wire is better

    • @saltytrips
      @saltytrips  4 месяца назад

      @@Time-machine1 i get what your saying now but you said it wrong again. In series it adds Volt together, in parallel it adds amps together. Watts is a product of Volts times Amps. Either way you wire it you get the same amount of watts. Series- the higher voltage and low amps starts collecting solar power earlier in the day and later into the evening, also with lower amps you can use smaller wire. Parallel- lower voltage but high amps is useful when you worry about shaded areas of your solar array, but you may need much larger wire from your roof to charge controller.
