Another thing you can try is to look at your vents on each end of the trailer. I looked at mine and the duct work ran 2 to 3 feet past them crating a dead air area, so I just cut out 7-1/2" pieces of pipe insulation and stuffed on the back side of those vents. I can actually feel the air coming out the back side of the vents on each end now!

I love your videos. They are all straight to the point and no fluff. I also appreciate that it feels like you are talking to us like real people, Not that fake RUclips voice and mannerisms.

We definitely don’t play characters, we are who we are and hopefully our experiences help others.

100% agree. I installed one on the main unit about a year and a half ago. I also went through and sealed up the plenums and each vent as the gaps between the ceiling ducts and the "attic" space was significant enough that I was loosing a lot of airflow through those gaps. The RV Air-Flow is definitely a game changer.

I like that dome cover for the shower. Another item to put on my list. On our last trip it was only low 80's and that dome in the bathroom was generating a ton of heat. I have to do some looking into the AC units. I have watched a few videos on the DIY modifications and I am leaning towards the pre made ones. As for the Maxx air fans, we have the roof top covers and the do work very well to keep the heat out. Great video as always.

Definitely worth it, we were getting so much heat through the shower dome it was ridiculous.

I installed a LG 12000btu cool, 16000 btu heat mini split in my RV in 2018, recently replaced that system Mar 2024 with same unit. Extremely energy efficient to operate and I keep my RV in low 70's during 95 degree Texas heat.

If our rear AC ever dies on us we would definitely start looking at Mini split.

I believe it was Forest River some years back that was toying with the mini-split idea and actually had a prototype on a couple of their models that they installed and sent out in the market. There were no AC protrusions on the roof and the condenser/compressor unit was hanging sideways from under the frame. They must have scrapped the idea because I haven't seen another one since unless, like you the owner has installed one. I wish that someone would perfect mini-splits for RV's and get rid of these inefficient rooftop units.

@@_FollowYourPath I hadn't heard about that. I believe Fusion as a roof top with some Mini Split technology, inverter, variable speed compressor. I achieved a 24 degree split with my updated LG unit. High was 96-97 ( near Austin Tx) yesterday and inside 72. AC was set at 66. I set low to compensate for insulation, R9?!

We have done all these ideas, but I put a sheet of Reflectix in the shower skylight instead of buying the Camco pillow.
