Nice review. Very informative. If the engine is a 1.5 turbo 4 cylinder, that means it is not the top trim which is the 'touring' trim. The touring trim of the Accord is the one I am most interested in. The touring trim is exclusively hybrid. Its 2.5 litre engine is mated to an electric motor sandwiched between the engine and and direct drive e-cvt with peoduces approximately 204bhp. Thr battery pack is mounted under the rear seats. The Honda Accord touring ruturns approximately 38 to 40 miles per gallon. It is a very fuel efficient layout. One major gripe i have with the Accord is the fact that it cannot be had with 360 degree cameras. For me, that is a miss as all its competition are now fitted with one including the upcoming 2025 Toyota Camry. The othet gripe is that there is no option of an all wheel drive system. The new Camry can be had as either a front wheel drive or an all wheel drive with an e-electric axle at the rear. In addition to that, the Camry either as a frint wheel drive or as an all wheel drive is mote powerful than the Accord with the Camry's hybrid system producing 228bhp as a front wheel drive or 232 bhp as an all wheel drive as opposed to the Accord's 204bhp in its touring trim. This Accord has been on the market for about 2 years. I am expecting a midlife cycle update or facelift soon. I hope the 3 cons I have mentioned will be looked into and addressed - the inclusion of a 360 camera with blind spot cameras to show you your blind side not only when driving through tight spaces but when you signal to make a turn when driving on the road. The option of an all wheel drive system and thr tweaking of the Accord's hybrid drive system, which by the way is really smooth, to be more powerful, more efficient and to have an improved thermal management and protection for its battery pack. I say thr lattet especially because the vents fitted to the battery yave no filters which means dirts can easliy be sucked into the battery pack module, which in turn mitigated against efficient battery cool. I remain a Honda fanboy. Many thanks.🙏🏾😊

I am critiquing the Accord because I love Honda and I don't want the Honda to be overtaken and left behind by the competition. Remember, the South Korean twins-the Hyundai Sonata and the Kia K5(previously called the Optima) are also serious competition for the Accord. In essence, there is room for improvement with the Accord without sacrificing value.
Why are people always talking about starting a car with a remote as if it's a new feature? My father had a 230E (V boot) I think it was a 1994 or 1995 model and it had that feature. He used to turn it on from his bedroom. 😂
Honda is leaning into a more conservative & executive design which then gives room for functionality and luxury. As you can see, high technology and maximum utility for daily driving
Good and reliable car brand, good features, design language ergonomics is conservative and interior is classic. i think it will be good for fuel economy with a 1.5 ltr aspirated turbo charges engine. pricing is a little out of reach for regular guy on the street. it will make many go for the fairly used models from the US already in the market more than buying the brand new. this is my two kobo opinion.
Well my own opinion on all these sensing suite things is it would have some negative effects on the driving experience and the more sensor the more things that can go wrong in the car.
Leg issue in accord has been fixed since 2008 Honda Accord. Funny enough, that leg issue is majorly peculiar to Nigeria. Globally it's not part of the issue with 1990s / early 2000s accords.

If you a truly Honda guy, you will know that the last generation accord's exterior is way better than this new one. This accord can not match Toyota Camry of same generation

While it's an improvement over the 10th generation, Honda should have taken a bolder design direction like with the Civic. It honestly looks too boring. Plus getting rid of the 2.0T was a mistake though I'm sure most will appreciate in better fuel economy.
The grille has an active shutter…so the blades can shut change angle to prevent air from entering the grille for better aero. It’s just air being diverted away from the car
@@234drive But do you also know that the engine gets hotter when on high speed and as such you need the Air Vent to be open to cool down the engine, closing the Air vent doesn’t mean the car is more aero dynamic per say it depends on what the shape of the car is and it’s built basically

The grille is made up of blades so they just tilt and an angle to reduce drag while still maintaining an angle that sucks in air for normal combustion process and cooling of the engine. The engine also doesn’t have a cover which allows more air circulation.

Also, accord has never really been considered driver's car. It's only termed sporty when relatively compared with likes of camry not generally.

@@234driveEvery transmission has its driving dynamics. The problem is that people want to drive CVTs like ATs. The kick off driving dynamics differ. That car you called 'boring' is a machine if you understand CVTs. Its CVT configuration may not be as advanced as the one on the 11th generation that uses eCVT but that car is another power engine. Reserved look but power packed with very decent fuel economy. I am talking about the i4 engine. When you move to the V6 with an AT you will not need a Benz anymore except for prestige that comes with owning a Benz
