    Wow, I had a look at my grandmother's recipes because I thought that is equivalent to that, but with normal potatoes. And I was right. Only two differences, normal potatoes and a bit apple vinegar. My grandmother was born in today's Moldova and came to Germany after the 2nd WW with an age of 35. I know that she was traveling a lot all over Europe with the Russian military VIPs. So why are the recipes that close? I could only see the date. She was writing it down, and it was the 7th of June 1946. I am assuming that she was in Spain at that time. German und Russian recipes are different from that. I do have so many recipes here in here book, I can't find out.

    • @marioncapriotti1514
      @marioncapriotti1514 9 месяцев назад +2

      A little drizzle of vinegar is super-delicious in starchy, vegetable-rich dishes like this stew. It adds complexity to the flavors and definitely makes the dish taste even better the next day. I think regular potatoes would be pretty good in this dish, but not quite as delicious as Albert's mom's sweet potatoes!

Only few classic Russian recipes and all the others are from different countries and cultures. That book is amazing.

    @Spain on a Fork Hi Albert. I haver a small request; Could you do some more video's with different kinds of fish besides salmon, tuna or cad? And what about the other vegetables: leeks, brocoli, eggplant, courgettes, fennel, kale etc.... most of the dishes lately are somewhat becoming generic with potatoes, eggs, lentis and tomato's.... Not that i mind, i LOVE making it... but a bit more and broader diversity would be welcomed! Ps; do you know any good spanish cuisine y'tubers that also do meatdishes, ovendishes etc, i kinda missing them... and LOVE to learn and make them! Greets all the way from The Netherlands!

      @@SpainonaFork Hi Albert! thanks for the reply! Not a lot of the y'tubers take time to do that... its awesome to know i can pull a request and its heard! So what about it? Could you do more different fish and vegetable video's? (mahi mahi, snapper, stirgeon, fennel, leeks, asperagus, kale, krauts, koriander, basil, tumeric, bayleafs, cloves etc, you name it :) ) or is that not inherent to traditional spanish cooking? And stiill my last question; do you know (or have videobuddies) that do spanish meat and oven dishes? Again, tnx for replying; as you always say: "you know how much i appreciate you"... :D Again Love from The Hague Netherlands (Holland)
