  • Back on the 1976 Ford highboy body swap project, and on this episode, I’m working on swapping a few more parts over from the old cab, as well as drilling holes for the bed to bolt up to the frame and installing it, as well as the front clip.

Looking good there Rust Wrangler! Nice that all those parts are pretty much the same truck, makes it pretty easy to do the swap. This will be an outstanding PU when done, just pay attention to DETAIL while assembling!

Thank you, yea this swap really isn’t too bad, pretty straight forward! There were a few challenges, but like you said, pay attention to the details and it all falls into place.

Subbed because of your determination. If this truck was in a dealership, you would be waiting weeks until other parts came in and who knows what the bill would be. A Ford dealership would probably not do this and do you know how much the so called, "Custom Fabrication" shops would have charged you. Just a simple work truck, not a show truck. Make sure you wear a seat belt, LOL.😵

Thanks for the sub, seems like most shops these days are charging quite a bit for any type of custom work anymore. Definitely not a show truck, but a good, usable truck that looks good!
