Apparently if you’re overqualified they may not hire you cause that means they have to pay you more which is stupid. It feels like there’s no point in having any experience now since no employer ends up caring at the end of the day.
Here’s something even worse, companies will promote they actively hiring not cuz they want workers but they get tax brakes if they say they short staff
And even worse than the most recent comment is the fact that corporations won’t pay you a salary, but if you have a following and a media presence, they will pay you ad revenue. They will actually deny you a salary and give influencers ad revenue.
It's a bi-weekly treat for me, a little pat on the back for a job well done at work. I usually get something I don't know how to make or making it will take a long time for me. But yes, the prices are insane. And now at some places, they want a tip even if you order directly at the location. I really hope America gets rid of tipping altogether. It shouldn't be how we pay employees, that's the employers job. I'll pay more for food (if it's worth the higher cost) if I know I'm also not subsidizing an employees paycheck. Tips are for amazing service and nothing more.
