"It all started when I was a baby, I drank milk, then I went to bed, then I woke up!" I absolutely loved Whitney's little story of her life. That was so precious. 🥰
I almost cried when she said her favorite part of the interview was Chris. He was genuinely happy too, you could see it in his face. She's so lovely and bubbly! Such a pure soul. I don't know why people would be rude to someone with a disability, they're usually the most lovable characters.
Mayormente si, pero no todas las personas con discapacidad son adorables, muchos son egoístas y no les importa nada, y he conocido de las 2 formas. Supongo que es la manera de como canalizan sus emociones al tener una discapacidad
Ah chris you are truly … a blessing to this earth. Where some of us would maybe struggle to interact with people with different abilities, you show us the way. To treat them with kindness, a smile and a warmth that anyone would love to receive from another human. I truly wish you nothing but joy in your life.
I just wanted to highlight just how well her mom understands her diagnosis. She clearly worked hard to understand the genetics of it. And I was excited to hear there are efforts to fund more research for it!

Misdiagnosis is a pretty common thing. I have (relatively mild) Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and many people with the disorder are diagnosed with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue disorder, or are only diagnosed with disorders that are secondary to the actual genetic disorder for a long time before actually being diagnosed. I'm glad we're more able to narrow things down to basically the finest possible point in recent years, it's quite helpful.
I love when she encouraged herself, "I did it! Woooohoooo! Great job Whitney!" She is so special and beautiful. And she has better manners than a lot of people I meet!
Some people would look at children like this and say, "Those poor parents! What a terrible burden to have a special needs child." People don't know, they have no idea what a blessing they are. You can be having the worst day but kids like Whitney are pure sunshine. If you're feeling blue, they know just what to say to put a smile on your face and make you grateful to God to have them in your life. She's a lovely, sweet little girl.

Genetic testing is so fascinating! Love to see how in Whitney’s instance, connecting with new friends genetically similar is opening a new world for her family. For the future, hoping whole genome testing becomes standard for special people. We were fortunate to have a geneticist fight for my son to have whole genome testing completed at 19. We were looking for Marfan but instead got AUTS2 and confirmed previous diagnosis of WS1. Genetics 🤷🏻♀️ Thank Whitney and family!
I couldn't stop smiling the whole time, Whitney just radiates good energy. I'm glad genetic testing continues to advance so more people can find the right answers and support.
