The Return of Jeff (A Legend is Back)

- Jeff is diagnosed with a rare disability known as Nager Miller syndrome. We first met when I was visiting a school for disabled children in 2017. Jeff, who uses assistive technology to communicate, was a volunteer in one of the classrooms. As I entered this class he handed me a note that said, "Will you interview me?" Since then we have been close friends and filmed several interviews together. This is our latest video together.

Thank you 2 this legend for featuring me again...Can't wait 2 c the comments!
Wishing nothing but peace and love to you Jeff and your family!!
we love you so much you are so incredible know that Jesus loves you, he loves you so much he gave he's life for you so if you ever need someone read the bible and he will comfort you
big ups from NY boss man Jeff.
Hi Jeff 😊 Thank you for doing this interview. It was really great to watch. You look and sound like you are doing well. Stay blessed 🙏💙 Hope to see you again soon 💯🤩
welcome back jeffy!
Jeff seems like the type of guy you want as a friend
Exactly.
Yes.
Absolutely
You seem like a really cool person, Jeff. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
I can see why! He's a nice guy!
Jeff has a stronger soul than most people i’ve ever meet.
What do you mean?
same
@@spencermarshall3734 Just think of all the things Jeff has to go without that you and I get to enjoy and take for granted. And he does it with stride and without caving in or having suicidal thoughts. That's strength of 10000 warriors.
Dang all I said was what the heck were you talking about now you’re taking offence about it even though that’s not even you and you probably do the same as me take things for granted
@@spencermarshall3734 I'm not taking offense or mad at you at all, you asked the question, I gave the answer. You're not very bright, are you?
One of the great things about assistive devices for communication is that people used to assume somebody like Jeff was developmentally disabled because they couldn’t communicate their thoughts. The device allows Jeff to express himself and show the world he is sharp as a tack. What an amazing and resilient man. Happy 40th, Jeff. Hope you have a wonderful celebration with friends and family.
Great comment. This show has taught me that different bodies doesn’t mean different brains
Pretty handsome for forty.
@@CREEPINGIRON honestly.
People think this about people speaking their second or third languages, so I can 100% believe people assume that ALL disabilities affect cognitive functions.
I don't see the person I see their heart and soul. I've worked in healthcare, with people who have disabilities.
Answering "Nothing" to the question "If you could change one thing in the world" is a transcendent level of wiseness

Happy birthday!!
He doesn't look 40!
No kidding I thought like late 20s early 30s maybe 🤔 😂 it's probably just all that charm and optimism.
Jeff seems alright 10/10

@@JesseTrapp66 don’t think he’s insult-able, role model material

Different BODIES doesn’t always mean different BRAINS! 🗣️ Thanks for teaching us!
As a medical student, I love these videos. They help me humanize and tie the things I'm learning about to amazing people like Jeff.
❤❤
I started watching them in medical school as well, and now I support their Patreon as a resident. They definitely help, and I love what SBSK does.
Honestly that should be a required part of the college to doctor pipeline
They've definitely helped to change my perspective as well! I started working at an org for people with disabilities, and SBSK is one of the reasons why I felt more comfortable doing so. I hope more people get to see these videos and the variety of wonderful people featured in them.
As a disabled person, I love that your taking the time to learn about people with disabilities! I’ve been dehumanized in medical settings before, so your comment gives me faith in the next generation of doctors.
I have known Jeff for many years now. One of the nicest and kindest people you will ever meet. Just an awesome friend to have!
He seems like a super chill guy
Consider yourself lucky!
Isn't that cuz he has no choice?
@@ethosterros9430 There's always a choice! For instance, he could've become bitter and resentful for being born with a physical disability, but he has decided to enjoy the good stuff in life and be good to the people around him. I think that shows great strength of character
@@ethosterros9430 We always have a choice. Just like you made the choice to post this unkind comment.
Jeff seems like such a chill dude
Jeff is so cool and has immaculate vibes
No way! I was just wondering how Jeff was doing randomly yesterday. Stoked!
Same!
I love that the only thing that frustrates him is negativity. It really puts into perspective all the things others can take for granted. We should all strive to be more like Jeff.
Jeff and I are both turning 40 this August. Go team!
The secret to a good life is being comfortable in your own skin and having a positive attitude.
Its not easy sometimes . He makes it look easy.
It's really cool that he's actually friends with the people he interviews and keeps in touch with them regularly, it adds so much humanity to this channel
Jeff deviously rubbing his hands together at the start, was hilarious~! I'm glad he's doing well, and watching what he loves.
Beautiful enthusiasm for life.💕I need some of that!
Jeff is a funny cool dude! This was such a great video!
I think the same thing
This may sound odd but people like Jeff give me hope for humanity. Not many things give me hope nowadays but I strive to be as positive as I can. I think Jeff is a wonderful person
If angels exist in this world the host is one of them.
Chris is amazing ❤❤❤
Definitly. He is so kind!
He’s an absolute gift to our world. I’m so grateful for him and his kindness!
He is one of a kind and gives SO much to this world!!
He's amazing . He's opening the door to so many amazing beings lives, helping us see and gain perspective. Such a Kind hearted man
Hi Jeff! I have several disabled kids. I love the kids that aren't shy to ask questions. Most of my kids can't respond but one is just blind. She likes the questions too. Most of the smaller kids that look afraid because of how her eyes look are just scared FOR her. Their first questions are always "does it hurt" . Once she answers no with a smile they relax instantly.
You're a courageous parent
Often it's children who are candid and innocent enough to ask what so many are thinking but are afraid to say. It's important to ask questions...in a non-judgmental, respectful way, of course. Only then can barriers come down and things be more open, honest.
The body is only a shell that carries the soul, you my friend is a strong beutiful human beeing! I can see that all the way from over here in Sweden. Many should envy you!!!
Five years?! It does not feel like that long ago. Glad to see our man again
Chris: Jeff, is there anything you would like that you don't have?
Jeff shakes his head.
Just amazing - what a guy.
We should all be more Jeff.
Treating people how you would want to be treated, treat an adult like an adult. Thanks Jeff for being you.
You are amazing jeff!!
And very inspiring.
Thank you for being you 😊
Lots of love from Australia
Im 41 years old and i got to say that you sir are an amazing miracle. Your blessed by god. You have something that most people either dont have or have lost as they got older. You have a kind open minded heart. Dont ever lose that. Stay awesome 😎👍

Hi Jeff! I am Alaa from Saudi Arabia. I love how you answer in such a cool and stress-free manner about everything!!! Thank you for wanting to be interviewed 5 years ago, because now we know that inspiring people like you exist. I wish your sport team the best of luck!
Hi from France Jeff. You re so cool. People like you are the celebrities we need. You re teaching us so much. You need your own show on mainstream medias.
Im sure the device you created could help a lot of others people who could have similar problems. Sometimes its very hard to open packets, even without a disability. Take care.❤❤❤❤
Jeff seems like such a chill dude! Happy early birthday :)
Hey Jeff. You are one of my fave dudes who showed up here. Looking forward to see you again in 5 years. Stay healthy and keep up that happy mind. :D
jeff has more personality than most people.
This is exactly what I think!
My husband is also turning 40 this year, people born in ‘84 are just the best!
I love how at peace you are with yourself and your life. Truly an example to a world full of complainers. So good to see you again Jeff.
If we could all have even 5% of Jeff’s personality the world would be a much better place. He’s right, he’s awesome!
Jeff seems like such a chill dude. Much love
Hey Jeff, I am Mick from Australia.
I hope you have a smashing Birthday in August mate!
You Rock Jeff!!
Hi Jeff 👋 my name is Denise. I am a Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan!! I love how positive you are and I appreciate you sharing your story, so we can better understand people with disabilities and how we can interact in a “normal” way. Thank you for sharing ❤
The way he blushed when answering "If you could change one thing in the world" is super sweet, I love this dude.
Jeff you sound like a real homie!
I love you buddy…can’t believe yer 39! You remind me of my bro…..he has muscular dystrophy and has no mobility whatsoever. He also has breathing problems but he’s happy in spite of it all. And why not, we were ALL born special and for a purpose. Thankyou for you!💕
Jeff is awesome and glad to call him a friend of mine for many years.
I want to be your friend. My husband (below the knee amputation, 4 years ago ) and I (multiple concussions, with permanent memory loss), are both disabled. We went to a concert last Friday and I asked if he wanted to dance a slow dance. He said no at first, then asked me to dance a few minutes later. He said he was not comfortable dancing because he could get off balance. I hadn’t even thought of that. I’m still in the learning stage. But he did wonderful and took his time. He only stepped on my foot twice, and I didn’t even care. He became over his disability of being afraid of losing his balance. We’ve been married almost 49 years. I am just amazed how you and my husband have accepted your disabilities and I’m so proud of you both!!
So are you going to go out dancing more often now?
Hope so❤❤❤
Bless you two ❤
Does he have a cool peg leg?
Hi Jeff, greetings from Chile! I really appreciate your good vibes and I listened very carefully to everything you said, taking "mental notes" each step of the way. I'm also very impressed with the way your family and you have taken advantage of technology.
I love Jeff’s positive attitude! He doesn’t let anyone stop him from doing the things he loves!
Jeff! One of the SBSK greats!
Hi Jeff! Thanks for being on SBSK again, you are the definition of cool! This comment reaches you from Germany! :)
Hey 👋
What an amazing video! You seem so content and accepting of your circumstances and you sure have a talent to get the best of every situation you have been put into. You’re an awesome guy! Thanks for sharing your life with us. That truly makes me be less hesitant to just approach people with special needs and just talk to them. Greetings from 🇩🇪
It’s so brilliant to hear the stories of everyone who appears on this channel. Especially to learn about all the conditions and things they go through. They’re all inspiring and awesome.
Hey Jeff, I’m originally from Canada but live in the US now. The Montreal Canadiens was my team but they haven’t done so well since the late 90s. Stay true to yourself!! Hopefully the Bruins will make it farther next year. Happy Birthday. 🥳
Go Oilers!😉
Hi Jeff, I'm in Rhode Island, right next door!!!!
Yes, you are AWESOME .
no matter how you look no matter what disabilities or problems you have you can always live a kind hearted life loved by others, and be a kind hearted soul. People like Jeff might not be the prettiest or the best at something, but what matters is how much of a kind hearted soul you are. Love you Jeff.
Oh bless him. He's so sweet ❤
I used to follow Jeff on Periscope. It’s good to see him again. 🎊 🎉
Jeff!! I watched your first interview when I was in 8th grade, and now I’m in my final year of college! So glad to catch up with you!! ❤❤
Jeff, you are amazing! The interview is truly inspiring and positivity!
Hi Jeff! Nice to meet you in this interview. You are making a positive impact on many people. I admire your courage and attitude.
I've been struggling with an invisible disability (stomach messed up) since 2000 and it's been a very humbling journey, and it never ceases to amaze me how the most humble, loving and nice people are those who have faced difficulties of their own. Jeff seems like a friend everyone should have in their life.

Thank you for sharing about yourself Jeff. I’m a parent in a small community. There are not so many folks with visible disabilities around us and I use the internet to make sure my kiddo knows how many different types of people are in the world.
One of kiddos questions once we learned about physical disabilities is always asking “what controller do they use for video games?” So it was amazing to see you show yours and how you use it.
This is the highlight of my day AND week!!! Jeff you are a really awesome guy and I love seeing you on SBSK once again…I’ve watched all of your videos, and look forward to seeing you in more of them in the future!
