- This is the best! Soaky Mountain water park in Tennessee by far blew my expectations of what this "surf trip" was going to be like. When I agree to surfing weird waves like this I usually have no idea what to expect & it can be scary. But, when we saw that lazy river turn on we knew the stoke was ON!!! That place is awesome! Lots of variety - the designers and builders really nailed it! Not for "the elites" maybe but plenty of fun for everyone. Best of all the water is clear and blue!

Our way of of measuring is completely different. 2-3ft=4-6ft we measure the back of the wave that’s it. But Hawaii has adopted face feet and it messed us all up lol. So now in Hawaii we just call the boys around the island

It is pretty damn awesome just wish covid wasn't around more places like this would go up even in surf towns but the crowds won't be there until a year or two and itll lose so much money :(

The grand question is: Will they actually allow surfing, bodyboarding, BYOB? How often and how much?
I live in East TN and I went to Soaky Mountain over the weekend. My first thought upon checking out the "lazy" crazy river was "this could be surfed". I haven't seen any evidence that the park will allow the public to surf there as of yet, but the fact that the wave machine manufacturers reached out to Ben to test it out is a good sign in my view.
At some places, like Disney (I believe Typhoon Lagoon) , they run the wave pool normally during the day but hold surfing lessons in the morning before it opens.
