    If you want to isolate your rear delts as best you can, make sure to keep yourtorso upright, your arms straight, and pull the cable out at a 45 degree angle (since the fibers of your rear delt run at a 45 degree angle). To perform this, grab onto the ball end of the cables, take a few steps back and straighten your posture, then simply pull the cable out to the side and slowly bring it back keeping your arms straight the entire time. You should feel it all in your rear delts, if not, lower the weight, there’s really no reason to go super heavy on this.

      Are you able to keep your arms straight throughout the full range of motion? The tricep should only really come in if you're extending your arm. You may need to lower the weight to make this possible - this is not typically going to be a heavy lift.

  • @carlvoznesensky1042

    Will this also target the lats? because it’s quite similar to the straight arm push down or pullover or whatever you wanna call it (even if you’re standing up with your torso upright)

    • @darkdahaka7965
      @darkdahaka7965 Год назад +6

      Movement kinda similar yes but the direction of the force is totally different. For lats your arms needs to be as close to your side as possible so this won’t really target them

    Standing straight up and pulling down is not the way to do this. Lean back slightly, push your chest out, look up and pull back. Not down. The way he’s showing this is getting your triceps into the exercise.

    Honestly, a Facebpull with a neutral grip is superior here, simply because of the anglew of your arms, hitting the rear delts only, and not involving the Lats or other muscles whatsoever.
    The exercises your perform is better performed with the cables like a band pull apart, if you can.
