Hi there: I have finally found someone who decorates like me. You! I didnt know it was called Studio Magee but certainly an eclectic sytle.
I have two beautiful large floor to ceiling white bookcases, filled with books. I havent restyled them yet, cause I love all my books collected over my lifetime. How would you suggest to restyle a bookcase with lots of books? Afterall, I love to read. I could go through them and downsize, but otherwise, would I stack them by the colour of their spines? Thank you. Its the first time watching your RUclips Channel. You are clear, and explain concepts very well. Im impressed! Enjoy making more videos!
Welcome and thanks so much for watching! :) I love stacking books by color because it makes the bookcase looked styled without much effort. I also like alternating book orientation - some books stacked horizontally, next to some that are vertical, next to another stack that is horizontal, etc. Makes for an interesting look. I probably could do a whole video just on book styling! I'll add it to my content calendar! ;)
When I was selling an old wrought iron chaise lounge. I read 'antique' is at least 100 years old and 'vintage' is less than 100 years old.
Yes! An antique is a minimum of 100 years old. Etsy requires a piece to be at least 20 years old to be vintage, but I read an article recently that said 30 was the cutoff. 🤷♀️Thx for watching!
I got rid of a bunch of my unattractive books from the book shelf so I could add some personality but still have more. So where do I put them now ??😆
Ugh I feel ya! I keep so many in storage because I hate to part with them.
I keep them in a closet because I can't part with books that I love but are unattractive!
