Nicely put, I almost can’t watch anymore because of the junior high giggling and cackling - it’s so cringeworthy
She reminds me of the VP, I didn’t know how to put this gracefully but it has becoming so annoying I turned the volume off. It is childish and takes away from the content. So sorry.
It would seem that the music comment could certainly be considered constructive, but attacking someone else’s personality and laugh is very rude and insulting. I dare say you would feel awful about yourself if someone told you that your laugh was juvenile and Annoying. Kindly keep insults to yourself.

I fill my bookcases with mostly books (I have lots of books), filed alphabetically so I can find them again! I don’t use books as decor, except for some vintage finds. But I do love how you’ve decorated your “bookcases”, but these feel more like display cabinets to me. If I had those glass cabinets, I would probably include some framed photos or original art leaning against the backs, natural items that I have a special connection to like a piece of driftwood, special seashell, or gem specimen, and possibly some cherished objects made by friends & family members.
Yes. More like a display case. I have one, with glass doors… one third of it is filled with special baseballs that my seven sons received while playing… some played through college. Game balls, home run balls, signed balls… there’s probably 30 or so in that display cabinet. Don’t tell Valentina 😉😉😂
I know Jack was joking about styling the other side, but I think it's a fantastic idea! Then Valentina could discuss what was good and less good about how he did! You should do it!
That's not a bookshelf, that's a curio cabinet with a few books used to level up the vases, etc. I would like to see you show how to rearrange your living room in several different ways using the furniture and items you already have, and tackle hard subjects like how to decorate a 9 x 11 room with long high windows on two walls nearly the entire length of each wall, a sliding closet on the third wall that takes up more than half the 9 feet, and an entrance door on the fourth wall of which the trim on said door meets with the trim around the closet sliding doors in the corner. This room is used as an office/library/den, complete with TV and two lap tops.

Hi Valentina, love,love your design style, and videos. However, this video was horrible. The bookshelf looks very cheap, and not high end at all. Specially for a lot of those items. Also did you guys forget to edit this video before posting it. The music drowns out your voice.
I’m truly sorry that you feel this way. I did make a mistake in the video regarding the audio, we do four of these a week and occasionally a mistake makes it through. I love these bookshelves and saved up a long time for them. Thanks for the comment though.
I would love a video about the social media side of things, like how you take photos of your home, it's a topic I don't see anyone really cover and I think a lot of people would benefit from learning tips and tricks for taking good photos of their homes to share on social media. Thanks for another great video!
I love how your experience and advice can be applied to anyone's situation. While my home is nothing like yours, I can apply your methods and advice in my own way with my own style.
Hi I love this, but I want to comment that around the 11 min mark your music is drowning out your talking.
I like to make it more personal. I use books, candles and pretty pictures frames with family and friends photos to style mine. All my guest immediately go there and compliment it.

As a Retail merchandise/decor manager, you always put heavier items on the middle or bottom shelves for safety. The zig zag design is perfect V! It causes the eye to have visual interest! I also appreciated how you cleaned the shelves first then decorated. Chef's kiss to you for another great video!
Have you noticed that the zig zag and 'V' shape are represented in a triangle?
I think books look better when they don't have things stacked on them .
You can buy or make beautiful platforms to elevate objects.
Will you be reposting your video after reediting? There was a huge portion where the music was really loud and I could barely hear you.

I love the minimal style here, but.. I own a lot of books. Would love see a maximalism bookshelf or library inspo! I think maybe if I go that way I just need to be very minimal everywhere else? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I find the bowl/book combo a little too repetitive. Meh. I almost always love what you put together, but this one seemed kind of plain. I have to say that you two are SO busy - blog, two RUclips channels, Insta, etc - wow!! Amazing energy!
I love the look of your bookcases but I’m afraid I didn’t enjoy the video because the music was so loud that I couldn’t hear what you were saying. I’m hearing impaired and I wish that videos wouldn’t include music when people are speaking. It makes it extremely hard to hear and to enjoy. Other than that, live your channel.

is less than inspiring, in my humble opinion. Looking for you to develop

is awesome for someone that never read, and is the logical way, but is not real for someone like me, who in the next two months maybe will need more bookcases or shelves for my books
Love this kind of content. Very hands-on. I’d love to see a gift wrapping video for non-Christmas gifts, since the wrapping videos have been my favorite. As a side note, I decorate with tons of books too, but lately I have been struggling with the idea of placing items on top of books. Seems like people don’t interact with the books when they have to move a bowl off of them to open them up. It looks beautiful, just wondering about the functionality.

Really disappointed with the quantity of books you had in the bookcase. They wouldn’t even fill one shelf, what an absolute waste of space these cabinets are.

Thanks for the comment! I have plenty of books but I wanted to decorate these shelves a different way. That’s the beauty of decor, you can experiment and try different things.
Bookshelves can be decorated as the owner wishes in my opinion. These books are both great to read & reread & great as decor.
If you wish to only have books in your bookshelf that’s your style.
I love books but I put other items in my bookshelves. The books & the other items get along well together 😊
Just like clothing can be beautiful and cover our bodies at the same time, books can serve multiple purposes. As babies we first fall in love with the beautiful covers and pictures...THEN we fall in love with the words. What a shame it would be to miss that initial opportunity!

Looks great, but what if you have actual books to put in your bookshelf? How would you arrange them?
Sorry but it does not look amazing- it looks contrived, pretentious & soulless. OK for a shop display perhaps, but not for a real home with soulful energy. I'm a European so maybe we've got very different taste 😏
I love everything except that thing on the third shelf down. I would have used a large low bowl in place. It just doesn’t belong. It’s too disruptive to the eye to me. Brings chaos. I want calm. Just my opinion. It’s too bad music drowned you out. I do love your music though.

This was a great video! I'm always looking for shelves decor tips. It's been one of my weakness it always comes out wrong when I do it. I always love your tips and advice but I wished you would have the view once it was completed. I couldn't see the left side of the shelve once you were finished. The other thing was, the music was so loud and I couldn't hear you.
Check Marshall’s got the low travertine piece. It was sold out, but I was just able to snag one. I also got a couple travertine pieces at Home Goods. A rounded book end and a pointy statue type piece.
HAD to have some of these bookcases after seeing yours. I haven't even started putting things in yet. I just love to look at them. RH service was excellent, white glove all the way.
It is beautiful to see these days that someone gives a roll model for the happiness of a marriage between man and a women, and for a family.

I love the diversity of shapes. I noticed your book placement is all horizontal. What do you think of placing a few books vertically to add a shift in direction, or is that too visually chaotic?

I have a black glass fronted cabinet like this. My problem is that the cabinet swallows decor, and I can't see it that well with the cabinet closed. Mine is metal so there's no way to install interior lighting. Any ideas?

I can not remember where is that cabinet from- RH? I love it. I have one but more a china cabinet and I have too much crystal to not have one in my condo but I would LOVE to replace it with this.

It seems like China cabinets are out dice no one collects China. However is there a way to make them look more modern? Also what do you do with family pictures?
Why are you blocking the final view of the shelves- you show how and then we can not see the entire view- I suggest pull the camera back, move out of the shot and show with the doors open and then one with doors closed.

I was enjoying the video until around 11min 32 sec ..then REALLY LOUD BACKGROUND MUSIC🔊🎶 nearly blew my eardrums out 🎧 and your voice was almost impossible to hear.. and I definitely couldn't concentrate on anything you said... a BIG 👎...I hope you dont do this in future videos🙏.... you do NOT need background music when telling us/teaching us ideas!.. its great when you aren't talking, but otherwise not! I have loved your channel for years because it is so stress free and fun to listen to you!
