Bill's mother has done a lot of needlepoint and some crewel and cross stitch, so we have many pieces around the house- pillows, covered brick doorstops, and wall art. This Madonna and Child is from Poland , it's called a " Black Madonna " and the original painting is in the Basilica in Czestochowa. The original is very old from 14th centuary , and this image has been replicated many times over the centuaries as the most beloved Polish Madonna.

Your copper lantern is a exact copy of a IKEA LANTERN IN ALUMINIUM OR Zink from about 2010, i think the copper one is probably from another interior store, that ikea and the other chain bought them on the same producer, but for different customers. I have one in copper too bought in Norway- and I have many in zink/ aluminium.

The embossed/repousse copper mother and child picture I'd guess is Slavic...orthodox iconography? Some are suggesting Italian or Spanish, could be, but it seems more Russian-Greek to me. I like the wood storage compartment. Seems like a colonial era replica. Neat hand collection, too.

The pottery is possibly from Australia as it has gumtree flowers and the bird is a kookaburra. Love from Australia 🇦🇺

Getting a cart at Goodwill should always be a priority. Even if you don’t get much or anything at all. Then you don’t have to carry your finds or lay them down somewhere else every time you want to look at something. I never understand why you don’t just take a cart right away from the beginning and then have to go back for one?🤔

5:02 we had a bowl like that - it was a chip & dip bowl that had a brass holder that slid over the edge which held a smaller bowl for the dip.

Andi those hands are book holders, love them😍 very different you should definitely keep those😊👍🏻 love all you god, the plaque with Mary/Jesus is either from Italy or Spain I have a few some are silver or bronze I myself have a small one which is real silver and wood. That’s definitely another keeper😁

Those ceramic cups look more like Japanese green tea cups than sake cups. I lived in Japan for 4 years and never saw a sake cup that large. Of course it's hard to tell the scale from the picture. And no sake bottle I've seen looks like that. It is not a teapot either, so it is a mystery. It is beautiful and a great find.

I have the gold hand you have. They were a set of 10 bought at a department store in the linen department and they hold place cards in the fingers.
