Update: I took the bucket hat and tapestry across the finish line in a new vid! ruclips.net/video/fIZpdlRsYM8/видео.html In the new vid I also finally added sleeve lining to finish off the Chanel jacket, thank you so much for your encouragement ❤️❤️
wendy, new subbie! i'm binging all your videos. I'm a total beginner, literally just know how to sew in a straight line and even that i learned during the pandemic via youtube. I was wondering if you sell patterns...specifically the wrap jacket. I'm not able to follow the video at all but would love to try to make this for myself and my 2 year old daughter. Thought it couldn't hurt to ask...
Video idea: remake some of your older creations with your new skills and new twists. It can be a series! You can remake your wedding dress, and the strawberry dress if you like, or some of the tougher items you weren’t fully satisfied with. But make them better, or cooler. And you can remake your wedding dress as an anniversary dress for yourself. Or for someone else who is having a wedding coming up.
By nature of his job, my father came across a huge spool of elastic and passed it along to me. I'm grateful but I'm also simply holding onto it for now. I hesitate to use a lot of elastic in my clothes/mods because over time I feel they wear out/get loose. But at least we have options (I heard it was hard to purchase in my area during the first COVID wave here)!
Scrunchies are fun to make- also a good way to use up for ordering too much elastic ;). I almost never wear scrunchies but I'll have a matching scrunchie for everything I make lol.
from a fashion design graduate to you, Wendy, a pretty much self taught designer...I have been watching you for such a long time now and to see the growth that you've made throughout this year alone has been INCREDIBLE. You are truly one of the only people on RUclips that actually tries to make things correctly and succeeds every time! I enjoy watching you grow so much and can't wait to see you continue to grow even more so THANK YOU WENDY
I bought all the material i needed to make the Paris Georgia top, and before i started it, i discovered your channel, and i'm so happy i did because now i have been able to make a fitting bodice pattern (using the free blog solution) and i can't wait to get started with my fabric !!! You really know how to make people enthusiastic about sewing ;) Thanks you, and big kisses from France
Wendy, I have been following you since the beginning. I was so surprised how easy it is to make my own bra, so I have ordered the kit to make my 1st bra. Thank you for giving me the encouragement to go for it. I let Erin know you are the one who showed us how to. You are doing a great job. Thank you again. God Bless you.
I love seeing this. The thing that’s so cool about this is I get discouraged sometimes seeing how much it seems some people make. But honestly seeing your year in full doesn’t seem impossible.
the white wrap coat is so so so gorgeous! My personal sewing accomplishment this year was making a waistcoat with lining and interfacing (and a matching skirt) and I also drafted my own pattern for it! Whenever I wear my little set (although its way too cold for it already here in Germany) I feel so funky and cool!
I'm new to your channel. I have sewed for many years, but took a break for the last 10 years or so. Thank you for inspiring me to get my machine back out. I have set up a sewing "station" in a desk/wardrobe and am currently sewing stacks of homemade baby wipes, burp cloths, bibs etc. for my fifth grandchild due just in time for Christmas day. (Using lots of cute flannel with fun thread colors.) Next is winter pajamas for everyone~
Noooo why did I watch this. I got rid of my sewing machine and pretty much all of my sewing supplies because of minimalism and now I want to get back into it so much... Damn, your skill is just insane. I loved every piece you showed!
Thanks Wendy. I haven't sewed for a very long time. Your videos have inspired me to get my sewing machine out again. You are an extremely talented young woman. Thanks!
wendy ive been watching your vids for years and have been improving my sewing skills alongside you and always get motivation and inspiration from you, thank you for being an awesome online sewing buddy!
The sparkly mesh mask can actually be used layered over another plain white (or just plain of any colour, whatever you want) and it can upscale a mask for a night out or just make a plain mask look cuter. (So it’s still pretty useful for styling over actually protective masks) 😉
I still want to tackle the sleeping bag coat, but it pretty much never snows here. Your Chanel style suit was great to watch and introduced me to the Lutterloh system. I have been working on learning pattern drafting so that was a great system to find for shortcuts.
Honestly, this is the coolest video idea bc I literally want to go watch every single one of those episodes. ALSO. Your content is perfection. In every single way. Thank you for that. It is an absolute pleasure, watching your videos.
I absolutely love each and every one of the videos you upload to this channel. I have been sewing since I was a kid, self taught and from Toronto and feel so inspired by your progress, you innovations and your talent! Thank you so much for this content
You should be really proud of what you’ve made this year. You made some awesome pieces. I especially love the strawberry, Chanel set, silk dress, the white wrap dress made from the comforter and last but not least, the sleeping bag coat! Can’t wait to see what more you make
I literally came across your channel n just fell inlove!! You speak clearly and have a fun character !yeayyy definitely someone I don't mind watching all the time plus OMG you are talented!!
Thanks Wendy, for giving me the confidence to sew again. I thought my sewing was terrible because everything seems so tedious, but I see that you handle all the tedious chores with such dedication and you don’t let it overwhelm you. So I’m going to start sewing again and I’m gonna do some of your ideas and I’m gonna make it work! Thanks Wendy!
Wendy I have also improved my cooking in 2020, and my crochet, and I went back to study in second semester, and I’m about to finish my course 😊 2020 was actually a pretty good year for me.
This has been a fabulous year in the With Wendy Wardrobe! You always inspire folx to keep making fun, unique clothes and I'm always looking forward to seeing what you get up to next. Thank you so, so much. 💗❤️ I loved the blanket coat cameos at the end. That sleeping bag parka is my favourite of all time!
Loved this video! But boy do I miss Sunday craft time... like lost real tears over it. Wishing you the happiest holiday season and share some of those Chinese recipes you’re cooking up 😘
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thanks and kudos, Wendy! Super awesome to see a portfolio/showcase of your projects this year💗🌸 😊🧡💙 thank you for your efforts and sharing! 💜💚
Wow it’s amazing and inspiring to see you’re learning/progression! I am blown away by the quality of the blanket flips (Chanel suit) and love the look of the quilted wrap jacket 😍
Thank you for being not only honest but humble about your sewing journey... it really resonates with beginners like myself! You have been such an inspiration to me this year and I feel like in some funny way I have gained a new friend when I subscribed to you because of how open and inviting you are with your sewing life!
You and Julia are so talented! Can't imagine how much work goes into these, but they look amazinggg. I am in love with the two coats and the chanel suit
I’m a fashion design student and your videos are very helpful to me, we do a lot of upcycling in our projects and your video inspired me to do a sleeping bag jacket :) I’m very happy with the result and just want to thank you for that video!❣️
OMG! Love all your sewing tutorial video. You became my inspiration why i discovered that i can sew. The whole quarantine period this became my hobby and it releases all my anxiety. Thank you for all your videos.
you definetely had a incredible year sewing! it is awesome to see the results you can achieve in your own house! thanks a lot for inspiring me to keep improving my sewing, and also for helping me with this videos!
I've always wanted to sew my own Chanel suit just so i could have one then BOOM your video came out! still haven't made one but your video gave me a lot of confidence in actually thinking i could make one!
having subscribed just a few weeks ago, this video really made me aware of how deeply i've dived into your channel in such a short amount of time. i recognized nearly everything!! hahaha congrats, and thank you for sharing such amazing projects!
This is actually amazing. I can't believe just how much you've made. I recently got a sewing machine- thanks mum and dad- and I've only done very small projects, but this is so inspiring. THANKS WENDY ❤
I love watching your videos while I'm sewing my own projects. Plus, I really enjoyed all your makes and recreations this year (the loofa Beyonce shirt was my fave), can't wait to see what you dive into in 2021! 💞💕
really proud of your improvement and new confidence Wendy. i want to try to make the cecilie bahnsen wrap coat!! i bought materials during the quarantine in march but didn't have time to make it because of zoom university 😔 i think i'll try over winter break!!
you tackled so many cool and unique projects this year and they were all executed incredibly well!! i remember watching your videos yeeaars ago when i was still building the courage to start sewing and to see how far you've come is so amazing and inspiring!! 😭💕 super excited to see what's in store for 2021 👀
I love all of these Wendy! So cool what you've done and how much you've learnt in a year. I started watching in our first lockdown here and I am so glad I found your videos. You really helped me through this year with the peaceful videos:)) thank you!!!
Great work this year Wendy, and thank you for bringing us along! Are you planning on doing a bullet journal video for 2021? I love your bullet journalling style and am excited to try it out for the first time!
I totally saw that video but after seeing the coat again I remember my boyfriend telling me about a sleeping bag with a broken zipper he wanted to throw out. I think I found my next sewing project...
I just discovered your channel and I am stunned by all of your creations! I really adore your creative approach and I can't wait to see more of your videos!
Hi Wendy!! Wonderful vlog.. I’m impressed w/how much you’ve grown personally & sewing over the years.. I can’t wait to see what growth you show from here forwards.. Keep up your awesome work.... 🧵🧵🧵💜💜💜
I have been watching you since before you were married and had grey/silver hair. I was interested at first because I had never heard of someone wanting and valuing grey hair. I started going grey in my late 20s and I am pretty much white now;). I loved your wedding dress you looked beautiful!!. I learned to sew in 4-H club. I used to make all my own clothes also my children's and I even made my husband some wool plaid- bell bottoms in the 70s. I am interested in many of the same things you have on your channel. You are very good at what you. This recap was really fun! Thank you!

I am so proud of your greatest accomplishment this year: getting a full-sized iron!
HAHAHA wow I appreciate this 😂 yesss we moving on up!!
lol
after all this time i'm still OBSESSED with your cecilie bahnsen white wrap coat
It is my fave too...
Me too! It’s STUNNING 😍
Me too!!
same! still waiting/searching/longing for the right fabric to come my way to make one for myself
Absolutely same!

I think that's a cool idea!
I love this idea!!! It’s more than okay to retry and redo!!
YEEEES! This would be so interesting to watch!😁
Okay Imma put it out there: my goal for 2021 is to start sewing. Like actually sewing real clothes and get as good as I can at it
I started this summer, and its very fun! Even got my mum on to it aha. So just go for it if you have the finances for it💖
@@sofiepernel same! I started this summer before 9th grade! It was so fun!
same
like everyone else I started this summer,,, but its been a great challenge
U can do it! Best of luck !
omg. I also purchased elastic in a freak out and now I have so much of it, I don't even know what to do with it. lol.
Well how thick is it? You could make 'harnesses'
You guys are lucky 😩 our fashion stores barely have elastic thanks to the pandemic.
Scrunchies are fun to make- also a good way to use up for ordering too much elastic ;). I almost never wear scrunchies but I'll have a matching scrunchie for everything I make lol.
lol we ran out of elastic right before my mom made like twenty masks so she had to make them all with like 1 inch elastic.
ngl im here for an actual roast and toast cooking sesh with wendy
I been putting in my practice and down to cook more 😂
Sew yourself a Beef Wellington. 😂😂😂
loved this lol TOAST to this series 🥂

It’s incredibly gratifying to see improvement through all the patient struggles. I’m so happy for you ☺️

The gold/tan jacket @ 13:30 is absolutely gorgeous and it looks fantastic on you!
That jacket at 13:31 is amazing!!! Thanks for sharing all your wonderful creations

The sleeping bag coat sounds like such a good idea! It's so hard to find coats for women that are actually warm and also cute and cozy!
Literally watching your videos over the years have inspired me to start my channel and challenging myself to tackle different DIY projects.
i feel like i have been watching your videos for forever, honestly you taught me so much
