Even while I was cutting the fabric I caught myself thinking, "make sure you leave enough to make something else-" GIRL NO 😂 I needed this reminder that it's great to use up every last bit and then say GOODBYE to the fabric I love. Your votes on what fabric to use had me feeling nervous but I'm so happy with the outcome that Julia and I reached!
Did you regret any of the vote outcomes? Shall we do this again so you can cast your votes differently? Let us know 👀

The Lutterloh system they were using is also just an amazing piece of equipment. It's not the cheapest but if you look into it it kind of is with how many different things you can make just from the patterns they give you.
Can highly recommend it if you are into sewing yourself. All of their patterns can easily be adjusted too and are relatively easy to work with.

Tip for sewing with stretch materials Wendy - when you pin, pin perpandicular to the stitch line, not along it. Not only will it enable you to pull pins out as you go (much faster with no stops!) it will help stop the fabric slipping or shifting along the length of the needle.

So cool that you show all the dos and don'ts as you go. I made my wedding dress of cotton eyelet border fabric. I used the border at square neck and hem, (tea length). It was beautiful, with a large dirndl skirt, and simple top with raglan short sleeves, and crushed cummerbund. The eyelet was the star. Great to see you both make such gorgeous tops with your left over yardage. Very creative. Love seeing the baby so grown.

MORE OF THIS PLEASE! I absolutely love seeing the creativity from trying to use up the dreaded "fabric stash". Great job both of you!!!

what a fun challenge. i'm so guilty of just continually buying fabric i love and then never feeling like a project is worthy of the fantastic fabric i own. both of your creations came out amazing, and it was so fun seeing julia have her own little segment too.
