I've been wanting to experience VR for a while now. When I heard about the adapter a month ago, I originally decided to wait until the reviews come out before snagging the PSVR2. But since the PSVR2 is on sale, I had to pull the trigger. I'm glad that I waited.
Also a quest 3 owner/lover for what it offers but for the absolute immersion, and the biggest reason y i love vr, is the immersion, and the oled and fov on psvr2 is just that much better and out weighs everything else im my experience (they are both 110, i guess so must be the design of headset that makes it feel wider for me), including a wired connection, which with a cable extension and some minor rigging i literally dont even notice. Seeing it sell out on amazon and other places with this big sale is a good sign either way, and might even work in a reverse way where maybe sony sells so many headsets for pc they start developing more ps5 games to get those pc users to get a ps5, or get them back on to their already owned ps5 with some exclusive shit.
I'd like to think your perspective on sales comes true. I'm still under the opinion it was a clearance job, but I am a sceptic. I hold hope you're right rather than I.
The problem is that you can't use any of the PSVR2's features properly. It only has a resolution of 2000x2040, no HDR, no eye tracking, no adaptive triggers, no feedback. Plus the terrible Mura effect. You're better off with your Q3 on the PC.

I have a pico4, I mainly play sims, with the new update of pico link, the picture is very good and runs smoothly. But when I play on my Vpro2, I really notice a difference in steering and braking, notice latency with compressed pico.
Id say just buy at 550$ even if all u play is re8/4, synapse, and gt7 to a casual gamer its worth the price already. And i dont even have a pc and without even considering all the other great multi platform titles i play, i still stand by that. At350 u gotta pull the trigger.

Kinda agree but some consumers still be happy because the PlayStation store doesn’t have that much psvr2 games, I hope in one update they add all those features onto steamVR
None of those features are supported by any PCVR games, If they were supported you wouldn't even be able to use them until the game developers add those features to their games. Personally i'm looking forward to those OLED's in PCVR and to have a headset that dosn't use Compression and has a native display port. For sim racing it will be great, and with the huge price drop it comes in around $340. that is a great value headset. It will be nice to have another option other than my Quest 3.
@linzkirk well perhaps more ps5 ports to pc and then the devs will start implementing, perhaps it's a blessing the psvr2 has come to pc, because now the devs have a reason to add those features.

I'll add to that, I'm on the beta on quest 3 and they are working on a firm if eye tracking with quest link. It's in the beta settings. I've also purchased the psvr2 and to ve honest. I'm happy with quest 3 with my PC, played 6 hr lone echo session yesterday without an issue using a innui quest link charge and play cable. I'm sure I'll buy the adapter to try it, but I've got a 4060ti which certainly struggles in no way shape or form. (I5-12400f, 16gb, nvme). I'll be interested to see what it looks like in the oled in comparison. Personally with side quest I'm running at 90/120 with solid frame rates on high spec, on the quest 3, so it's going to take some refining for the psvr2 to come out on top in terms of my choice of headset for pcvr.
I play most of my games sitting down. The cool thing about PSVR2 is that most games give you this option for seated or standing modes. It will adjust your image to match your height. You can adjust your gun holsters, but you might end up hitting your chair a lot. I play in my Zero gravity massage chair. It is wonderful.

Most pc gamers don't have strong gpu for pc vr gaming, and ps5 is way more powerful than those pc, so in this case, ps5 is better, but for 10% people like you who have powerful pc yes psvr2 is worth it for pcvr gaming.
The steam deck can barely run games on its 800p screen it’s not going to do very well with vr. And it’s not going to work anyways because there is no display port.
Nah…. so you get to connect your PS VR 2 headset now to your PC….Oh, you need to go buy a gaming PC! Oh and go buy the PC adapter and you’ll also need a Bluetooth adapter for your controllers… also don’t forget you’ll need a super long USB-C cord to connect to your headset…… And you’re not gonna get most of the really good features of your PS VR 2. Hard pass this is not the best VR experience you can have.
That eye tracking won't fix the PSVR2's biggest problem. Which is those Fresnel Lenses. Going with these type of lenses for there headset is the biggest disappointment for me. No matter what I do, I get a blurry image. Even if I find the sweet spot and it feels like it is clear. It is not. Once you have experienced headsets with better lenses, you will know exactly what I mean. These types of lenses shouldn't even exist. So yeah, it is nice Sony is offering this PC adapter allowing you to play PCVR. But, I will not. I just picked up a Pimax Crystal Light and Wow, Best Visuals I have ever seen in a Virtual Reality Headset. I will keep my PSVR2 connected to my PS5. What Sony should do is bring there exclusive titles over to PC. Imagine being able to play some Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7, Resident evil Village, and Remake 4 in VR with the power of the 4090 using my Pimax Crystal Light 😉👌
@@WOojerVest3andQuest3onMe I love the Quest 3 lenses but for me I am able to find the sweat spot very easy with the PSVR2. Once I get immersed I forget about the lenses. I’ll probably use the PSVR2 for darker games and the Quest for brighter games or games that require more detail like racing sims.

I don't see it all the time, but once I do, I definitely see it, but again, you just accept it and continue enjoying the game. Note: My PSVR2 has been collecting dust for a while now. But, after watching your video, I think I will jump back into it and play for a bit. I never finished that Resident Evil Remake 4 game. I see they have a bunch on sale for dirt cheap as well. Their made by Praydog and are almost native feeling because they have hand tracking support and for the remakes 2, 3, and 4 they also have a 1st person view option as well. So all together Praydog has modded support for RE 7,8 & remakes of 2,3,4. You can find videos and setup guides for the mods on RUclips just type in Praydog and any of the above mentioned RE games.

I have both. Quest 3 is an amazing for standalone, but standalone it doesn't come close to the immersion of PSVR2. play RE4 on quest then do the same on PSVR2. Or WD Saints and sinners or Moss. But now you have the best of both worlds
@linzkirk 100% disagree. I had a psvr and I bouggt a psvr2. utterly utterly disappointed. the iked is great yeah but is it better immersion than quest 3 with MR etc? no, not even close. RE4 had a full.remake on psvr2, it didn't on quest. also, RE4 on psvr2 totally breaks immersion when ir goes flat screen for cutscenes. as food as you might think the oled is, it's just nit that big a difference to notice it much. if you already own a quest 3 and a gaming rig, the psvr2 is a waste of money for pc vr.

VR for me is to experience places away from my every day reality, so doing it in my own room in MR doesnt appeal to me. Its great tech though and each to their own, if you enjoy MR then thats great. Your GPU has to encode the video, send it to your Quest and then the quest has to decode that same video stream. This adds latency and inconsistent frame times. A dedicated VR headset is receiving a direct uncompressed signal from the GPU like a monitor would.

things like eye traking are luxry for me nice to have but not needed for a descent experiences i cant wait for this adapter to come out!

You can still use those features on ps5, no other headset has those features anyways and games won’t implement them. Argument is irrelevant.
