Looks like very good settings to start off with for most PCVR games. With SteamVR you can adjust this up/down, on a per app basis. Also, I suggest you turn off Advanced Super Sample Filtering because it tends to make distant objects look way too blurry. Easy to turn on/off on the fly so you can see what's best yourself.

    Hello!
I tried out HL Alyx for the PSVR2 on PC for the first time yesterday,
I only turned off smoothing and the game was running flawlessly.
Today, however, when I started up the game it told me my settings are above the recommended levels
and the game is lagging horrendously...
The SteamVR menu is running smooth...
I've changed the following settings now:
    Custom resolution @ 68% (2804 x 2860)
    Turned off 'Advanced Supersample Filtering'
    SteamVR Home set off
Edit: It seems no matter what settings I use the game gives the same warning
    and still lags unplayable.
I have redownloaded the game and still didn't help.
Edit: Edit: I'm an idiot. I used the Vulkan API is the game settings
thinking that it would be better for my AMD setup...
Keeping on DX11 fixed the problem `xD
    My bad.
    My specs:
    6900 XT GPU
    5900X CPU
    32GB RAM
    NVME SSD
    Win 11 Pro
    Antenna Bluetooth (5.0)
Not actually sure about display cable

I had some weird stuttering when i turn my head left/right. I’m still not sure what it was. But what solved it for me was open ”system configuration” in windows and turn off ”gigabyte lcd services”. So, if you have a gpu with an lcd that shows temps etc, turn the corresponding process off. Now the stutters are gone. Also look for similar processes that report/monitor performance, for some reason psvr2 is allergic to those.

nice video mate, subbed and liked.... i've just bought a 4080 (after seeing just how "ease of use" the psvr2 is for pc vr ! In regards to Super sampling, i leave it at 100% then adjust per game as required or as able to handle... esp hitman 3, my fav vr game due to the enviroments. The specific enviroment is the island map, it's terrible on Q3 due to the ffr they hardcoded into it, not so bad on Q2 but terrible on Q3 with higher fov, same as psvr2... thankfully someone posted if you increase ss to 500% in that game it basically goes away, which i have done and thankfully it did (you can still see the lesser quality around the edges but it's not that noticeable anymore)... 500% might seem incredibly high, but they downgraded the image so much (to make it work on ps4) that it actually runs pretty well. Obviously you can't use such a high ss in other games... i sit on the beach in the chair and just relax with the view, there's just something about it.. also the brighter panel of the psvr2 just makes you feel like its actually a sunny, bright, warm day, i can finally retire my ps1vr which i kept just for this.

you do have a RTX 4090 and a Ryzen 7800X3D, so this video is only a reference for the absolute high end user but will most likely not apply for most gamers. I think the title of this video should be "Best PCVR/SteamVR Settings for the PSVR2! on a high end Gaming PC".
The 100% resolution of 3400 x 3468 in STEAM VR is reported by the PSVR2 driver as the optimal render resolution for the displays including barrel distortion correction. Anything above can be considered supersampling.
With Meta or Pico headsets i would also recommend to set this to 100% and do anything else in game or via the streaming software. However, the PSVR2 will use the STEAM VR settings directly and does not offer any additional render resolution feature like Virtual Desktop for instance. If the game supports FSR or DLSS this would be the preferred method to optimize performance as well as other in-game settings, especially if you have a GPU with only 8 GB of VRAM. If this does not work you need to lower the resolution in STEAM VR.
What really irritates me if the motion blur at 90Hz on the PSVR2. I don't have it, so i can't really tell, but 90Hz should be butter smooth like on any other headset.
