I just found this video after already ordering an HDMI to Display-port cable... my laptop doesn't have a Display-port and the USB-C port worked but is connected to my integrated GPU so it ran like crap. I wanna ask, why wouldn't that cable work? The cable I bought is specifically HDMI 2.1 to Display-port 1.4, and I specify this because most cables online are Display-port to HDMI but I got one with a special power port that allows it to covert the other way around. I also specifically got an HDMI 2.1 so it can fully utilize my HDMI port because that's the one connected to my dedicated GPU, and I just don't get how it wouldn't work. It's specifically made to covert the HDMI signal into a Display-port so why couldn't it send the data and allow the adapter to function?
@@nathie Well I don't trust what Sony states because they also said that it doesnt work with "USB Type-C-to-DisplayPort conversion adapters", but when I test one it did, the only problem I had was with the laptop not the cable, because my laptop connects the USB-C port to the really bad integrated GPU instead of my really good 3060 dedicated GPU. So if my dedicated GPU is connected to the HDMI, and I've already tested a converter they claimed doesn't work, then I feel like it will work. Also have you yourself tried testing an HDMI 2.1 to Displayport 1.4 cable? My cable doesn't arrive till tomorrow but if you have one of those, you can test it to prove me wrong.

If there was more info on the adapter online I'm sure someone more knowledgeable might know more but its so new that there's no real info I have been able to find for solving or understanding the issues I'm having. So as it stands I wouldn't buy the adapter or a cable to try and change HDMI to Display-port, you should probably wait to see if people online start talking about stuff like HDMI to Display-port and if there are possible solutions.

are you sure the firmware on the headset is up to date? sony released an update to enable PCVR compatibility a while back. that would be the first thing to check.

SteamVR Error 109 typically means that SteamVR can't initialize. This can be caused by various factors, including outdated drivers, incorrect graphics settings, or conflicts with other software. Sometimes 306 has something to do with your HDMI cable. That is, the Displayport cable of VR may not be in the primary displayport port on your computer. To make sure VR can work correctly, you need to always use a primary port.

The setup screen in the headset is stuck on the bottom part of the viewing screen and every time I look down to see the guide, it is stuck. Imma go ahead and pass on this monstrosity of a product.
I have to turn down my super sampling in steam vr when using the psvr2. For some reason it sets the resolution way to high by default and my frame times go through the roof. RTX 4080 and no issues with my index this just happens on my PSVR 2
What is best to set it at?
Wish I had a psvr2 and a pc with a virtual link port
Controller POINTER not visible.... why????????????? =(
I just found this video after already ordering an HDMI to Display-port cable... my laptop doesn't have a Display-port and the USB-C port worked but is connected to my integrated GPU so it ran like crap.
Sony themselves have stated it does not work. www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/pc-ps-vr2-troubleshoot/#generalknowledge
@@TMG9045 did the hdmi 2.1 to display port 1.4 adapter work?? My laptop to has the thunderbolt 4 connected to integrated graphics and the hdmi connected to my 4060 if it did work can u link me to adapter?? Thanks
@@krisstella6074 It hasn't arrived yet but I will definitely let you know when it does!
@@krisstella6074 Sadly I couldn't get it to work, and I truly don't understand why as the PSVR 2 app recognized it but SteamVR kept breaking and even when it would suddenly randomly work, the headset wouldn't display anything except the black screen showing to take the headset off. If there was more info on the adapter online I'm sure someone more knowledgeable might know more but its so new that there's no real info I have been able to find for solving or understanding the issues I'm having. So as it stands I wouldn't buy the adapter or a cable to try and change HDMI to Display-port, you should probably wait to see if people online start talking about stuff like HDMI to Display-port and if there are possible solutions.
when it askes me to point at the word "next" there is no pointer coming out of my controller. what do i do?
turn your controllers off and back on and see if that helps
@nathie I tried, and it didn't help, any other thing I can do?
has anybody tried using a docking station? my gaming laptop does not have a display port =(
It just keeps saying waiting and had the steamer home
can't wait to play skyrim vr again now that sony has added an adapter
Hi do you know if the MSI katana 15 laptop woodwork/support the PlayStation vr2 headset??????
Check my requirements bit to see if you pass the test!
@@nathie Ok thanks!!!!!!!

@@nathie thank you 🙏
This is why I can’t use a pc! I thought it was just connect headset to pc, and play VR. Why complicate things. 🤦🏻♂️ I a plug and play kind of guy. 😂
i heard the ASUS bt 500 5.0 is the best right now, so i ordered that , i just hope im not wrong XD i also wonder if its a hassle to pair the controllers to your ps5 back again,
Hope it works for you! I did have a fight with my PS5 where every time I would turn on my controllers to play on PC the console would also turn on lol.
do you think this will work for gorilla tag
Had a psvr2 since release. I love it. But I have just dived into getting the psvr 2 pc adapter. I’m not new to pc vr. Used a quest 3 with it for a while, but had to sell a while back.
Saw a few issues with this adapter all over the internet. Trouble setting up, Bluetooth etc.
Got my adapter today. I must be one of the lucky ones. Most smoothest setup experience ever. Not one issue 🤷♂️ no Bluetooth issues either. Been playing for hours. I did buy the TP link adapter just in case. So I will keep it. You never know.
Продать квест 3 и купить шлем Psvr2, страшно представить, какие жизненные ситуации вынудили тебя пойти на этот шаг
@ ?
@@richwatson1985 Sell Quest 3 and buy a Psvr2 helmet, it's scary to imagine what life situations forced you to take this step
@ 😂 oh no I already had the psvr2 lol
half life must have been so fun on that
I got stuck on the psvr2 app no matter what I do it dosent recognize my psvr2 and tells me to connect my headset even tho I did what to do?
At what point in the software do you get stuck?
@nathie oh don't worry about it anymore I fixed it but I'm having some more issues like controllers disconnecting, hand in-game gets stuck and my hand in game shakes
are you sure the firmware on the headset is up to date? sony released an update to enable PCVR compatibility a while back. that would be the first thing to check.
On the other hand you buy a quest 3 and you press power button. Good job sonny as always..
Do I need a ps5 or just the adapters cables and headset?
You do not need a PS5 to play PC VR Games on your laptop or computer. Just the adapter.
If you want to play VR games I'd say just buy a quest 3. You'd save money and you'd have a vr headset that can play pc vr games and Quest games. the ps vr 2 is 549.99 plus all the extras you'd need from this video just to be able to run it on a PC.
@@AM-ik6do I know that but I own a quest 2 a Rift and Index but I can't stand any of them I don't get much out of the index because it keeps breaking and the oculus app has so many problems for quest and my rift works great but the cable broke and I can't find a new one. So I'm thinking the PSVR2 would be a good buy.
@IrenicCherri yo im lookin to buy a q2 u think its worth it for pcvr? I cant decide since ive never tried vr before and i always hear people complaining about q2 fov and pcvr compression
Has anyone tried connecting the rog ally to the psvr2?
the controller update kept on failing so I used the usb cable to do it
Good one!
Im OK with my amazing valve Index 😎
That’s crazy considering that it's 1000 dollars and doesn’t even give you 1000 dollars worth of stuff💀
@@pearlashley8449 my one was a used one of eBay and was cheaper 😌
i know this is a shot in the dark but when be is about to load i get error 109 and 306 please if anybody could help that would be be great thank you!
@@nathie thank tou so much !!! big fan love your work.

I didn't need the adapter! AMD graphic card already supports it.
