Doing one tomorrow. You you can just remove the left Tran mount and let it hang down with the engine until you can raise it and get a stand under it?

What do you mean? You can let motor and trans hang together. I wouldn't separate them without the other being supported.

I'm removing a 2016 edge 3.5l 6f50 and Trans. Aldata says to start with removing upper intake... is it Necessary?

Could make things easier to access. I usually make those types of calls myself. All data says to take some engines out of the bottom, I do them from the top. Do what you think is necessary.

Does the 2.0 share the same transmission with the 3.5?

      No for 2.0 it’s a 6f35 and 3.5 is 6f50

my gosh you had to remove pretty much everything.. I have a cracked flexplate on mine... I'm pretty good with mechanical stuff, but this is insane lol

@@CarMechaNick I fixed it, didn't pull the transmission out completely.. Just unbolted it enough to pull the flexplate bolts outs and swap in a new one.. Time to sell the car LMAO I read this is an issue with the short block.. and it will crack to plate again.. mine is way out of warranty

That's awesome, I've heard of people doing them that way with several cars. You aren't kidding! Get yourself a Toyota or Honda in sure you'll fall in love.

@Car MechaNick I'm removing a awd 2016 edge Trans. Is it necessary Nick to remove the upper intake per alldata?
