What a fun video! I loved everything about it.....the playfulness of you and Carlo, the sights surrounding Puglia, the dogs having the time of their lives, the drone footage, and those gorgeous red poppies! ❤️. Twenty minutes of yumminess!
I'm truly amazed at how Italy is so dog-friendly. Where I live, only service dogs would be permitted in public places including grocery stores and restaurants whether indoors or out. Dogs also aren't permitted on many public beaches. Unfortunately, that results in too many people leaving their pets in hot cars while they eat or shop. Anyway, as always, it's been a pleasure to share a 'day in the life' with you. Thank you.
These two vlogs of your trip to Puglia were fascinating. The towns are truly gorgeous, and the proximity to the sea is the icing on the cake. Definitely on the top of my travel list. I think Indie really enjoyed it too. Hope you will do more of these trips, as they are a lovely addition to channel.
New rule. Always keep a bag in the car with bathing suits or extra set of clothes so you can swim. That little area looked so beautiful. I see why Carlo went in in shorts. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. Love from NJ💜💜

What could be better for the armchair traveler than touting with a native italiano who peppers the content with his beautiful language and a long-time resident who speaks my own language. You are the perfect pair to add to my delights through your own exploration of the endless feast of natural and man-made wonder that is Italy. It is just wonderful. Looks like a beautiful part of Italy with more open spaces & fewer people which works for me. I'm not into touristy places anymore... the poppy field was stunning... and the water looked lovely there; very inviting. It's horrible when you want to swim & cannot....

I believe in Hawaii all natural beaches are public. You can have a huge resort right on the beach but the beach is public. It's awesome!
7:52 "beaches should be for everyone." I agree, luckily for me, here in the Philippines ALL beaches are owned by the state. Though there was this one time when I was a kid, that a security guard stopped me and my cousin from walking past a private club's "property" ; so what my cousin and I did was we walked on the shallow parts of the water and walked past the security guard and waved him goodbye.
there are plenty of free beaches in Italy and mainly in Puglia. 90% are free.
@@RoseBornagain from my research, it is less than 50% of beaches are free in Italy, but Puglia and Sardinia have decreed that 60% of the beaches shall be free. Every region has their own rules.
We are lucky here in New Zealand too. Historically, our beaches have always been free, but in 2004 a paw was passed that granted public access to the foreshore for the most part so that people could access waterways even next to private land. Great for the public, but the "crown ownership" was a colonial punch in the stomach to indigenous Maori, so in 2011 it was replaced by a "no ownership" law. Now we just need to clean up our waterways so they are as beautiful as when I was a child!
@@NyreeAlana also in Italy there plenty free beaches, people who want comfort, bathroom, bars lounges etc and stay all day at the beach they are happy to pay.

Beautiful video. Never been to puglia. My great grandfather was from puglia, I remember as a young child my grandmother use to visit her relatives there. You just inspired me to take a trip there next time I'm in italy, it looks so beautiful. Who knows I might find some long lost relatives.😊. Thanks for taking us along on this incredible adventure.

These places were so, so beautiful. You must pinch yourselves sometimes 🥰 we all enjoy how much you both appreciate beauty wherever you are. This was a very different Italian landscape to see- for me anyway. Loved it. Fast forward to the beautiful property in Tuscany you now have. Indie and Hollie running around in the fields and driving up to your front door 🥰 Manifesting destiny 🌟

My wife and I spent 4+ years in Puglia, it’s not as beautiful as the Amalfi coast but the people were very kind and generous.

Agree on the beach! Here in Oregon all beach is public. You can own property out to the water but the beach is public and cannot be obstructed in any way. Love that about our state.

I'm so glad that water was deep enough for you to dive in. there was a big gnarly tree in among the fig trees. is that a fig tree or was it something else? lovely traveling. When we showed the fig trees, they were just fig trees, the scene right after, a few kilometers away were olive trees, and yes one of them was really very big, old and gnarled!😁😘💕

The old center is beautiful and it is ideal that dogs are allowed everywhere.
Indy has grown enormously.
If you go back to Puglia, it is worth visiting the Castel del Monte. It's not an average castle. It was built in the 13th century and the number 8 is the base. The castle has 8 towers and each tower has 8 walls. (because of spriritual reasons). The building is centuries old and yet it would fit well in a science fiction movie or a horror movie. The atmosphere is downright scary. It is a building you will never forget.

The castle is definitely worth a visit.

I love every trip you take, England included. Positano is beautiful, but there are limits. When traveling to a country, one is still a tourist and normally only visits popular areas. Through your lens, we are able to see areas that one would not normally see. All is wonderful!! No worries. And thank you for sharing.

My husband and I were here in September 2019. Watching you brought back so many wonderful memories of this beautiful region. We loved Apulia and hope to get back because there is still so much to see. Thanks for taking us along and sharing. We were in Sardegna, Stintino at the most incredible beach and we forgot our swimsuits too. I wanted to cry so I completely understand ❤️
