I actually had peripheral neuropathy around 2013 after a spinal fusion and instrumentation that helped bring my spine from maybe 60° scoliosis to maybe 15°. Let's just say my spinal nerves really hated being suddenly straightened and stretched because for months afterwards it felt like my legs were on fire. Thank goodness for gabapentin.
I'm 9 months off Chemotherapy and the bottom of my feet and hands are still very numb. I hope it goes away soon. My oncologists said it might not ever go away.
Dealing with post surgical neuropathy in one leg. Five surgeries in two months; vascular. Taking minimum level of gabapentin which seems to help with the pain, but the numbness is constant. Doing my best on exercise and diet. Eleven months since the first surgery, and still two months to go before I get to see a neurologist. Any other ideas?
I’m sorry to hear about your post surgical neuropathy. I have the same issue with neuropathy in my foot after a total ankle replacement. A year after surgery had a nerve conduction test that just confirmed the damage. There is no cure for my burning and numbness. I’m afraid to take medication for fear my dose will increase as my body becomes used to the meds. This is so disturbing that you fix one problem, but create another. What helps me is to stay busy. Nighttime is the worst for me. So far the best help has been topical capsaicin. Going to Dr in Jan to start mega doses of this topical analgesic.
Overexposure to workplace chemicals gave me PN with damage to axons and some myelin sheath damage, too. Arsenic was one of myriad chemicals I was exposed to due to negligence. No amount of financial compensation alleviates the lifelong pain and suffering.
I have this hideous condition. Top to bottom! Even the roots of my teeth experience it. Dr.s haven't never determined why this is occurring. Possibly chemo take 9 yrs ago combined with a major blow to the ribcage that occurred in an industrial accident. The accident revealed a baseball size mass in my abdomen. Life was never the same after the accident. 9yrs of stinging, numbness, and tingling takes a toll. At age 68 i force myself to exercise and walk miles. Recently I have started taking gabapentin at night so sleep at some level can occur. Good luck to all who endure this condition.
I have this too and it is hell. I got this after I took the materno vaccines. Three of them. After the third shot it went all over my body. It's been three straight years of hell.
I can sympathize, my friend. Four months of chemo 11 years ago left me with peripheral neuropathy in my feet and a little bit in my hands. I also take gabapentin which helps somewhat with the pain, but not completely. If I had known what chemo would do to my body, I would have foregone the infusions and taken my chances with the cancer.
I’ve had this horrible condition now for nearly 15 years. I’ve had numerous tests, seen countless doctors and have tried different medications including Lyrica, gabapentin which helped for a little while and I’m now on Norspan pain patches. I’m not diabetic, haven’t had any back accidents and I’ve no idea why I ended up with this. It feels like constant sunburn on my legs and the soles of my feet turn purple and burn like hell. The only thing that slightly eases the pain and discomfort is by taking 5mg Endone. Some days I wish I could get my legs amputated and get fitted with prosthetic ones, it’s so debilitating. I’ve noticed recently that my legs are becoming weaker, they feel like lead and I don’t feel safe walking around on my own in case they give way. Not nice at all😢😢😢

How are you doing now?
Are you feeling any better?
Did you ever experience nausea from Gabapentin
I appreciate your work!! It's amazing how you make complex content straightforward and clear.
THANK YOU NUCLEUS MEDICAL MEDIA!
Y’all should make a video on other neurological disorders like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy, etc
I'm definitely becoming a surgeon.
This video was incredibly insightful. I learned so much 🌹❤
Thank you so much Nucleus medical Media. Gives better opportunity understanding to the Peripheral Nervous System PNS.❤❤🎉🎉

Informational. Good job.
IT EFFECTS EVERY NERVE IN THE BODY HORRIBLE
Sure seems like it does. But other than knowing where possibly your tingling, numb, and pain are coming from m, the health care system can't help you.
Thank you

I lost two brothers to cancer. Great men, skilled, honest, hardworking etc. Both suffered. I am the lucky one. Sure miss them! Good luck to all!

Could you please suggest a video how Oxidative stress or ROS kill brain cell or trigger cell death pathways like caspase or calpain
Yup. That's me
So we should include autonomic nerve damage in differential diagnosis of hyperthyroidism.
2nd comment, I typed this using my peripheral nervous system
