Here are some notes that i jotted down, hope it helps! - 1. The brain functions better throughout the day when you eat a breakfast that keeps your glucose (sugar) level steady. Ex. An omelet w/ avocados instead of a sugary cereal or orange juice. 2. Glucose spikes can cause: brain fog, harder to retain memory, wont be able to perform well, and even feeling fuzzy. 3. Sugary intakes in the morning such as cereal, gives us a dopamine to alert us well in the morning, however it is very short-lived because the pleasure then gets replaced by negative impacts on your brain later on. 4. The way that we eat can impact our personality and the relationships we have with others. The more glucose spikes you have, the more you’re going to experience symptoms of anxiety and depression. 5. High glucose levels in mid-life (35-50) are more likely to develop Alzheimer’s later on in life. 6. Keeping our glucose levels steady and as early as we can be helpful in the future for our brains. Hacks mentioned: 1. Have a savory breakfast 2.before lunch/dinner have a plate of veggies (the fiber protects your body from glucose spikes) 3. Never eat sugar on an empty stomach (have dessert at the very end instead; don’t have snacks in between) 4. Move after eating :)
I actually took 6 months off of all sugar to test what would happen, and had drastic changes in my mood, hormones and anxiety. It was fascinating! I 1,000 percent agree that our diet is key to helping with our mental health journey and have seen the transformation in myself and my clients. Thank you for this great information!
Was it during your addlecent year's that you went through this? Your not alone in feeling like that. Young men and women went and continue to deal with those emotions.
I want to share my story because this has changed my life. For the past almost 3 years, I have had HORRIBLE brain fog 24/7. I have had no energy all the time, regardless of sleep, rest, etc. I wasn't able to study or enjoy any activity because I felt drained and sleepy as if I had just woke up. It has been one of the most horrible parts of my life. I missed my youth and spent most of it sleeping. I was underperforming at work. Colleagues would make fun of me because I was so "slow." My mom called me a hypochondriac and never cared about it to the point that I don't think she knows what I went through. I was too afraid to go to the doctor because I had convinced myself that I was crazy. A few days ago (2.5 to be exact), this video came up on my feed. I was like, "No way, but it wouldn't hurt to try." I cut out all sugar, and i limited my carbs, also implementing the hacks. the next day (yesterday), I went to work, and i felt focused and energetic for the first time in YEARS. It felt insanely unreal because I had forgotten what that felt like. and TODAY for the first time in, again, years I managed to wake up on my own with an alarm, which has been impossible for me in what seems like FOREVER. I even missed one of the most important exams of my life because I just couldn't wake up for it. Now I have never been unhealthy. I am not overweight. no diabetes. but I have never restricted myself from food (i guess because I tell myself "I am healthy overall, I can afford this") I do count calories because I go to the gym a lot which also hasn't been great the past 2 years. I never thought sugar out of all things could have been causing me this much suffering. I can not express how HAPPY i am. I haven't felt alive, let alone good for YEARRSS. and in just 2 days, I see so much improvement! THANK YOU, sooo incredibly much for this. Words can not ever come together enough to express the happiness and greatfulness and disbelief I am going through! thank you!
Glad its working for you, but no need to limit carbs i believe? i go to the gym and just follow the food order and feeling great but maybe its because i need the carbs
I ate for at least 10 years as of I were hypoglycemic. I'M NOT HYPOGLYCEMIC! Good greif! I was getting so fat. Well duh! I was eating all the time. I was afraid I would crash if I felt one hunger pain. I was eating so wrong! 3 months of following this eating plan and I'm down 11 pounds. I can get hungry and I wont die. Yep. Huge lesson! Thank you so much young lady. You have changed my life. I feel so good! ❤
Friendly suggestions: 1) mention the names of the authors of the paper that are quoted. 2) include the full reference of the study and a link to read it.
I find that skipping breakfast and eating at 12:00 PM (which also increases the time between dinner and the first meal of the next day, a form of intermittent fasting) makes me clearer in the head ,makes me more focused.
Yeah despite all the advertising from breakfast cereal companies about how healthy it is and how "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" I feel better when I skip breakfast and never eat cereal
Scince and experience tells US that better is to dont eat before bed not after we wake up. We have to know that one of the most important for glucose lvl etc are strong good functioning muscle, and for them to often or too long fasting isnt that good. Many like Peter Atia reversed from to often to long fasting. We now know that sport, and when we are in energy deficite works good as fasting but we dont lose oportunity to gain muscle. So do Your weight lifting, do Your 10min walks after big meals, do 10.000 steps every day, sleep 7-8h, eat whole foods, and from time to time go to longer energy deficite. Your blood sugar and life span and its quaility will be 👌🏼.
@@captainwheelbarrow649always eat some bread, with egs, and oatmeal and im perfectly fine, all markers of my health are 👌🏼. That's why we dont use one type of diet for all humans we live difrently🤷. Diets are just a tools use them wise 🫡. And dont listen to someone Who Never changes his mind and talk like only he is right about every thing. We musy rymember she want to sell something to people 🤷. Glucose spikes are ok if Your insuline levels are ok and You are not insulin resistant. Insulin is anty inflamantory when works in healthy body....
I think if its very subtle/low its fine but I agree it allows one to digest the information. I think educational videos should be quieter. Music should be for more entertaining or upbeat type of content.
I HATE BRAIN FOG U GET IT! i thought i was dumb for years but it was brain fog from depression and my lifestyle with depression, then it went away and i feel alive for once
I'm type 1 diabetic for 30 years now and when my blood sugar level is high. Then I do feel depressed, become anxious, have no energy to work and do not want anyone speaking to me due to irritation. There is a very strong connection between food, blood sugar level and the mind.
•Improving glucose level can start with small ways like, having vinegar water, not consuming sugar empty stomach, layer your food with lots of healthy fats and proteins and then have sugar. •What we eat in the morning improve our cognitive performance therefore having protein for breakfast is very important and will keep you full for a long time unlike having sweets for breakfast which will leads to a big glucose spike, slow down our energy and ultimately make us more hungry your body will keep asking for food until you feed it protein. Glucose spike slows down your brain and also slows down the process of neurons carrying information ( study of mechanism of glycemic variability accelerate diabetic central neuropathy ) •Low nerve conduction velocity aka the speed of neurons carrying information leads to brainfog and slowing down of brain •Low glucose level leads to a lot of aggression therefore it's important to keep glucose level steady •Being hangry means your glucose level is on a roller coaster ( big spike and big drop on glucose level ) •Tyrosine is a neurotransmitter that helps to keep our mood balanced so when there is a big hike and crash in glucose we alter our personality. •Glucose spike increases inflammation in the body and the brain then it leads to symptoms like depression and anxiety and roo much of glucose spike causes us to become insulin resistance which leads us to depression The Glucose Hacks Hack 1: Eat foods in the right order The right order to eat our food in to minimize a meal's gucuse spike is Fiber, 21 Protein and fats, 31 Starches and sugars Hack 2: Veggie starters Veggie starters reduce the glaccae spike of the mes that follows them. The objective ls for the veggle starter to make up about 30% of the meal Hack 3: Stop counting calories Counting calories doesn't necessarily improve health outcomes. And not all calories are equal calories derived from fructose are more detrimental than those from glucose are. Hack 4: Savoury breakfast A savoury breakfast is composed of protein (the centerpiecel, fat fiber (if possible optional starches and nothing sweet except optional whole fruit (use for taste) Hack 5: Have any type of sugar, they're all the same Al sugar is made of glucose and fructose. They all have the same impact on our body so have the one you prefer. Hack 6: Pick dessert over a sweet snack If we want to eat something sweet, it's better snack between meals have it as dessert after a meal than as a snack between meals. Hack 7: Vinegar Vinegar can be taken as 1 tablescoon In a tall glass of water with a stravel, or as a salad dressing, ideally up to 20 minutes before a meal This recluces the spise of your meal by up to 30% Hack 8: After you eat, move After your mess, when you can use your muscles for 10 minutes to reduce the glucoes apike of the meal. Examples: waking, tidving your house, doing calf raises, etc Hack 9: If you have to snack, go savoury Sweet snacks give us pleasure, savoury sracke give us energy. Savoury snacks include proteins, healthy fats, and ther Hack 10: Put "clothes" on your carbs Putting "clothes" on our carbs means edding protein, fat, or fiber to starches and sugars. This reduces the speed of glucose absoration in our body
What active ingredients do you have in your glucose suppressing supplements? Have you tried chromium? I especially like the first hack and suggest home baked falafel using different beans and vegetables every week. How did you break your back? 😢. Best info with the cutest accent 💖 Thank you, Merci! Ps: Life is like riding a bicycle 🚲, if you want to keep your balance, you have to keep moving!
Are ALL sugars (aka sweeteners) equal?? I understand that Agave Syrup is pure fructose, and only processed via the liver, whereas other sugars glucose content is processed by many cells in our body, placing less strain on the liver.

I reversed pre-diabetes in 3 weeks by following Jessie's tips: my fasting blood glucose went from 117/119 to 88 in the morning. My blood glucose never goes over 107 when i eat, and it goes down almost steadily after a few hours only. I added also intermittent fasting to my diet, 18/6, and when I eat take 2 hours to eat my plate. I also watch my calories intake, I do not eat more than 2 plates a day to give you an idea on how full your plates should be. The best thing for me is that I am finally out of this mental fog (sharp clarity of mind) and my brains seems to be functionning better. I also do not eat at least 6 hours before going to bed, and I only eat 2 meals a day which is enough. By keeping it simple, I also got my energy back. These few hacks worked fine. Merci du fond du coeur, les astuces marchent bien pour moi et vive la France. xD
@@yeldarleumas1847 yes we are french, we eat slowly. It's better for the liver that way and for insulin resistance. The liver cannot process more than 6 g of carbs per hour.
My Dad worked at for the owner of the local Pepsi plant, so he got soda cheap. We'd have 12 cases of soda in our garage always. We drank soda instead of water. I had bladder infections almost monthly as a child and into my 20s. Ended up with kidney infections. My Dad continued his high sugar diet through life (including alcohol & sugar subs like aspertame). He ended up coming down with an unknown illness that eventually took his life at age 66. His brain scan showed that his brain was dying at the cerebellum for "unknown" reasons. He was mentally there, didn't lose his memory or wit, but he slowly lost his motor skills, which eventually moved into his organs.
I got diabetes because I went into depression and started drinking coca cola like water and eating junk food. In Mexico, coca cola is considered water. They also have lots of people having diabetes in there. There was a study made by a pharma company about sugar. They concluded that sugar is not responsible of obesity, heart disease and diabetes. The study was sponsored by coca cola. A man raised the alarm on sugar and he is receiving death threats.
I have had epilepsy since I was 27 yo, struggling with anxiety and depression my whole life, been recently diagnosed with ASD at 40... Just found your channel and can't be thankful enough for this "coincidence". Sometimes the algorithm works. Thank you for such intelligent and useful content. Going to try.
This channel suddenly showed up while I was scrolling through the Internet. I started taking her suggestions and lost weight. I also noticed I am more alert, less sleepy and tired in the afternoon. ME: BA, MD, MS, MPA and currently work as a medical director for a very large health insurance company.
@@yingyang7448 do you think doctors have no life outside of work? Especially working for an insurance company you'd have about as much spare time as any office profession
@@jemappellemerci Maybe I am just becoming more skeptical of RUclips comments that seem bot-like through the use of generic/happy go lucky/cheesy positive wording these days but I assume a medical director with multiple fancy degrees would have no issue with knowing how to lose weight but here we are with a comment that all too feels like a bot promotion for this channel.
After I cut off approximately 80% of my sugar intake in any forms (sugar, honey, carbs, fruits) my acne cleared up by itself in couple months. I still eat carbs but less. No candy, no flavored water, no junk foods, less sweets.I have a very long story to be in this point where I am now. FYI I don’t avoid 100% of sugar. I still eat carbs but very less. I get my carbs from whole foods, such as organic potato, rice, legumes, beans and try to avoid any corn products. I’m not getting carbs from processed foods like pasta or bread because I know here in US people mostly use bad bleached GMO flour to make bread which can be endocrine disruptor. I always start with veggies starter before eating the main dish (like 1 cup of sauerkraut or kimchi) and I always eat the sweets in the end (mostly fruits, sometimes a little amount of non GMO chips/ pretzel or protein bars), and I also do intermittent fasting every day to let my body recover when not digesting food. The range of fasting time are different everyday because I have my own schedules, it can be 12 hr, 16 hr or 18 hr of fasting. I only do 12 hr of fasting when I’m close to or in my period because there is many things to do with the hormonal stuff here. I watch a lot of RUclips videos from dr. Berg, Jason Fung, David Sinclair, dr. Mindy Pelz, beside this Glucose Goddess. I have no more hormonal imbalances now. I wish I knew all of this stuff much earlier so I don’t have to experience 3x of surgery of cysts removal in my ovaries. Now I feel better and healthier. I’m 39 years old but I have lots of energy like I’m 20 year old. Thanks for all the good information from these doctors/ scientists.
@@sandhanitizerr LITERALLY nothing left to eat besides carbs? First, you dont have to cut ALL carbs. Second, what about protein and healthy fats? I still eat a lot of fruit, which helped me clear my skin (contrary to the OP's experience) and I always have something sugary at the end of every meal. I always eat 1 or 2 meals a day, eat eggs, chicken, lots of fresh vegetables, avocado, beans, lentils, tofu, I love my fruit, I also love almonds and cashews and always have a mini dessert at the end of my day. I also make sure to drink a reasonable amount of water and leave the body digest food without stuffing food into it all the time. Voila, I never go to the doctor, and its not expensive to eat like this.

Just wait till you turn it all around and you feel ketones in your brain. When you're not burning glucose anymore. It's an awesome feeling, and you will easily be able to detect it when you cut sugar out of your diet.
WOW!!! You just read me. Years ago I went through therapy due to having panic attacks. Spent 2 years in therapy with additional hypnosis and taking melaril to retrain my behavior. The thing is in my house there was dessert at every meal. Molasses on pancakes for breakfast, as jokingly said: "a little bit of tea in my sugar" because we had SWEET tea. And of course my mother being a southern cook always made dessert whether a cake, cobbler or pie. I DO miss those days. but they are gone. Working hard to get my counts down and it is difficult. But progressing. I need to order your book. Thank you so much for your whimsical way of teaching something that can be tech book behavior in college. You make it fun.

It is her voice quality that attracts me to listen. As for the sugar and glucose - we knew they are bad but still we eat them. We teach our kids but yet we still indulge in them 😁 I think we need more self control and behaviour change
Very interesting. And I am super impressed by her English skills as a non-native speaker - definitley no brain fog there. She has such a rich vocabulary. Id love to know English like she does.

Look into the Carnivore Diet, that will be the best option to heal your body. Look to these channels on RUclips: Old Guy Carnivore, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Bart Kay, Edward Goeke, Steak & Butter Gal, HomesteadHow, 5 Minute Body, and Max German. Basically, all you need to do is transition to eating only meat and its associated fats over the course of about 6 weeks, every two weeks halving the amount of other foods you eat. You don't want to shock your gut biome. No fruit, no veggies, no grains, no nuts or seeds, and no sugar, no bread, no pasta. Eat meat and fat until you are comfortably stuffed, as Dr. Ken Berry says.
I have severe PTSD, anxiety and conversion disorder. I've only been following her hacks for about three weeks and ALL of my symptoms are hugely reduced. I hope the same happens for you. ❤️
(Repost from Ep. 6) As a kid I was a foreign exchange student from the US to Thailand, and found the at-home diets there were always savory-leaning in the mornings - with sauteed veggies, fried eggs, and some type of spicy/curried meat served with white or white/brown/red rice mixes (I realize we see rice as a glucose-spiking carb, but the Thais can be slow and mindful with the amount of rice they actually eat overall). This diet gave the highest energy levels I'd ever had, and my excess weight just FELL off as a kid traveling SE Asia. Back in the states I am now painfully aware at how the go-to foods and dining habits of Americans lead to brain fog and a constant fight with low energy and irritability. One problem I've faced: friends complain if I prepare food like that of Thailand/Vietnam/Japan - especially at breakfast, often calling for sweet juices, pancakes, toast, etc. I personally wonder if many aren't ADDICTED to brain fog - meaning: Westerners like the heavy, lethargic "feel" they get after eating sweet junk back-to-back with meats and oils. Does anyone agree?
Watching this video makes me think about how, we should be more focused on controlling our glucose spike levels because there are so many ways they can impact our body.
My HBA1C used to be 13.5 when I was diagnosed, fasting sugar of almost 300, now its down to 5.6, I have been off meds for almost 2 years, just manage your diet. I just came across her channel, whatever she is saying is true and works well. Thats how I got better. And well I am also pursuing biochem so I know how it all works better now. Great stuff !!
Hi Jessie-Angel, that was a great science show with very interesting informations ... and also this show I share on Facebook for my friends and followers. Thank you so much for your work. 🙏 It's really amazing how much I learned from you in 1 year - over your books, your videos and posts, your podcasts worldwide and all this great science shows you produced for us. It sounds pathetic but it's true: You saved my life - I'm healthy now, total fit, sleep deeper/better, all my blood values turn to normal and I'm off from the medications therfore and last but not least: I lost a lot of weight (actually = 39 kg lost in total). Sending you so much love & hugs (from the bottom of my heart to yours) ❤🤗💋😘, Elisabeth 🌈-still from Düsseldorf, Germany-
Great stuff- it's been mentioned many times over the years, "you are what you eat" careful what you eat, don't start your morning with sugar etc. Sadly most don't listen/care- too many people " I can do what I want" then everyone else suffers because, exactly that, grumpy, mood swings etc. What a blessing your research is. People will listen to you, having done all the research, & being able to make it understandable. 💛🙏
I am the youngest of 5 children. I was the executor of my parents wills. Why? The other 4 siblings were party animals. Booze and drugs ruined their lives. Their minds were not their own. It was really sad. Who do you think they hate? Me of course. Life is short......stay sober. I don't drink or take any drugs. I am 63 and going strong. I always tell my grandchildren to NEVER drink, smoke (pot) or take any drugs ( aka meds)
This is such a beautiful human being. The artwork dress is so thematically perfect. I hope for only the best things on this woman and success in her mission. In others God speed as they would say, her soul shines so radiantly.
The amount of energy and overall better health I’ve had after quitting soda alone was beyond what I thought possible. I used to drink 2-3 Mountain Dews a day, but now I cut them out completely. It’s honestly a miracle that I’ve never had kidney stones.
When I was diagnosed with diabetes 8 years ago, I was told that it would get progressively worse and I would die from it. I had to take Metformin - diet recommendations were fuzzy and I had to figure this out by myself. The figures tumbled, but whenever I experienced stress, they would go up again. Doctors told me to take more tablets. This made things worse. My liver protested, but I am not a doctor and didn’t know why. I realised that my doctors were lazy and didn’t have a clue. I learned so much here, detoxed my liver and feel so much better. You can’t go cold turkey with the Metformin and it was tough at first, but Berberine helped and spacing out the Metformin more and more. Doctors take a snapshot of your condition in the beginning and ‘treat’ you accordingly, while there is a world of treatment with food, exercise and so on they have never even heard of. Thank you for all the research and priceless advice that makes so much sense. I know I’ll get steadily better from now on, because I know better ❤
I started keto/ketovore to try to stop seizures started 20yrs ago through numerous blows to the head by my x. I had stopped all meds in 2012 bcause of s/effects. Alzheimer's disease is my biggest fear. I have relatives with this serious illness. I read your book "The Glucose Revolution" and definitely "cut out" sugar. I'm vegan and this helped me a lot with the discipline of avoiding the "sacred" sugar! It's better to avoid sweets today and have a "sweet old age" in the future. Again, her theories have been entirely debunked by doctors and scientists. You can still try for yourself, but do take it with a huge grain of salt. You wouldn't want to try drilling a hole in your skull nowadays, would you?
This is information everyone should be taking in as the application can improve the quality of life for everyone. If only folks could divert their focus away from the various entertainment media long enough to look at something that can improve their lives. Here in the US we have some of the most unhealthy food in the world. One might wonder just exactly why that is but that is a topic for another discussion. The solution is simple, be mindful of our diet, but it is also difficult to break the habit of our addiction to sugar.
As a type 1 diabetic, the brain fog can be insane. I can feel myself trying to process for a response that should take the snap of a finger. Sometimes my pronunciation gets really wonky. The high blood sugar impacting the brain and causing confusion… it’s so rough at times. Viewing content like this is hard for me. I've come to learn similar concepts by adopting an intermittent fasting schedule. Basically just skipping breakfast, eat lunch and dinner and no snacking in between (16-hr no eating window). It reduces blood sugar spikes naturally, and also has other benefits. Some of the hacks mentioned here match thousands year old habits of some cultures, like having desserts after a meal, eat salads before a main course, even napping after lunch is a natural result.
I am very thankful to God who send you to earth. So you could help us all. Now I have answers for my questions for my ill condition. Brain fog, depression, anxiety etc. Thanks

Great video thank you I used to deal with a lot of brain fog also also diagnosed with anxiety and complex PTSD I noticed when I have a Savory breakfast I feel a lot better
Let’s be accurate here: 1.tyrosine is NOT a neurotransmitter, but the precursor of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin 2.there is more than just glucose spikes in the blood… if you exercise regularly, you will not feel as much the glucose spikes. And, the latest studies show that doing weightlifting regularly decreases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s… in short: exercise regularly and you will avoid many aged-related diseases. Brain and glucose are interrelated. As glucose spikes our neuro transmittors slows down and it is stable then our brain works more efficient way. Surprise factor: high glucose levels reduced your irritation. Thanks for sharing. Honest, empathetic and light content.

Oh dear! I was watching/listening to this while eating my small packet of Parle G glucose biscuits, after my meal. Been up since 4 AM that glucose shot, left me wanting nothing but my pillow and bed. Talk about a spike and fatigue. Proven experiment. No more ParleG after dinner. I went from eating 2 biscuits to 10 or 12. That’s the mistake Two biscuits were just a fine desert.
This was such an eye-opening episode! 🧠🍽 The connection between food and mental health is fascinating, and you explained it so clearly. It’s amazing to learn how much our diet can influence things like depression, anxiety, and even Alzheimer’s prevention. Thank you for sharing these valuable insights - it’s definitely inspired me to make some positive changes in my own eating habits. Can’t wait to watch the next episode!
My brain fog is so bad today that I had to listen to this video three times to grasp much of it. Big takeaway, stop treating my body like a sugar dumpster. Change is hard, even worse when you’re fighting habits. But if it’ll clear this damn brain-fog, then its time to clean out my fridge and pantry.
*I had very high blood sugar I only managed to improve my health⭐ when I found a WONDERFUL treatment,❤❤ if you want to know about it, I left the video in the comment reply*
And so half-measured... She knows that the human body requires no dietary carbohydrates (sugars). She knows that the human body has a dedicated process for making its own carbs in the perfect amount, at the perfect time (gluconeogenesis). She knows that the best, most reliable, most natural way to achieve optimal blood sugar control is to just left your body make its own sugar on demand. But, instead of promoting the best option, she promotes the option that sells her supplements - she tells you to attempt to moderate and "hack" your blood sugar control while eating carbs, and also offers her supplements to help control the blood sugar spikes she is helping you create by promotion carb consumption. And, what is worse, she calls diets that minimize or exclude carbohydrates "extreme" even though such diets promote optimal health in terms of blood sugar control. Overall, her methods are better than nothing, but they also promote perpetual carb add!ction, and fail to inform you of better options.
The visuals in the video are beautiful and fit the content perfectly. The music is also very nice, creating a relaxing and contemplative atmosphere. Thank you for creating such a wonderful video!
No Dr., specialist, or psychiatrist has been able to figure me out. They all have said I’m a mystery, the worst case they’ve seen, or throw random guesses and put me on useless medication. I’ve put my story on many videos similar to these now. I really should make content like I want to, but I’ve not been able. I’ve always had horrible mental health and high BP since age 15. In March 2012 I woke up with my left side of body completely numb, especially my stomach. It sent me in to the worst panic attack ever, and I’ve never came out of it 12 years later. The best I can describe it, is to imagine being on a roller coaster. They’re fun of course, but it’s also nice to get off of it and calm down and be safe. Imagine being on one for 12 years and that’s trying to eat on it and sleep on it too. My adrenaline is always pumping, but no motivation or energy to do anything. A few years of that and freaking out I went in to atrial fibrillation. I guess 3 years of all that shot my nerves, because in January 2015 I started vomiting daily. I’ve been vomiting daily for 9 years now. I never did it to lose weight, never ever! I went from 340 lbs to 100 lbs now and I’m 5ft 11in very tall. The last year I got so depressed I became bedridden. Drs still say nothing is wrong. Not that I trust them. They told my mom the same thing here, and she ended up dying at age 49 from liver failure due to gastric bypass. I’m so scared anymore, at a loss, also unable to work, broke, sad for my husband, only 35, no kids 😢, 3 years no period, and more. I use to be bubbly, I sing, want to act and do Christian content, but due to vomiting my teeth are all gone almost and I had a beautiful smile. Dental and everything is more than I can afford which sucks. That’s why I’ve developed social anxiety due to my teeth. Prayers and advice welcomed. I tried vegan 7 years it did not help.
Have you tried the Carnivore diet, it healed Mckaela Peterson. She actually does the lion diet. Food can heal, but the right food for the person. Ayurveda medicine is also a healing tool. Jesus is the answer for everything, so never give up hope!
Try therapeutic keto, or more simple- carnivore. Look up dr ken Berry. Dr Christopher Palmer - a psychiatrist using therapeutic keto to treat all sorts of mental health issues including schizophrenia
@@drwhooves6581 I’ve been watching dr ken Berry for awhile now. He use to be all for vegan and now he’s all for carnivore. I’m confused. Although half the internet claims vegan cures and the other half claims carnivore does.
Have you tried cutting out coffee/caffeine. My body does crazy stuff if I drink coffee. Like waking up in the night with half my body numb and I can't move it for a short while. If i go two weeks without coffee/caffeine then my body starts to feel like it is coming back to life. Also decaf messes me up.
I had brain fog for a few years. Also the flu was regular. Finally one doctor sent me for blood tests. I was hypothyroidic. Now i am fine. But I do remember the terror of brain fog.

First of all I wanna say your voice is very sweet and smile is very pretty.. Secondly, yeahh you're right there is much connection between our diet and mental health.. I used to take alot of sugars in the morning but now I decide to replace my sweety breakfasts with savory one.. I'm gonna follow your hacks!! .. Thanks for helping us out ✨
I love your videos! You're so insightfuk. I'd love to learn how to identify glucose spikes, how to identify the signals that our body sends to let us know we need to regulate our glucose.
I'd love to see a channel where it is all kinds of people from all over the world sharing what they eat in a day on a diet free of sugar. To get a visual and inspiration and ideas. And including people with very limited spoons per day, like myself. Making stuff from scratch can take up all my spoons for the day, which makes making it a sustainable habit quite the challenge ✌️
Here are some notes that i jotted down, hope it helps! -
Hacks mentioned:
1. Have a savory breakfast
2.before lunch/dinner have a plate of veggies (the fiber protects your body from glucose spikes)
3. Never eat sugar on an empty stomach (have dessert at the very end instead; don’t have snacks in between)
4. Move after eating :)
I love you Ashley
this is exactly what the asians do usually , Have savory breakfast , eat veggies , and desert at least .
Thank you!

What types of sugar? Do you mean carbs as well? Or just added sugar and fruits?
@@wanderlust4215 probably added sugar, complex carbs is good thing, and also apropriate amount matters
Did you lose any weight?
Words can not ever come together enough to express the happiness and greatfulness and disbelief I am going through! thank you!
Interesting success stories
Thx for sharing and I wish you good luck.
It's also something mental...
Thank you for sharing your success stroy :-)

So, no sugar in the morning. I like sweet creamer in the morning. Are there any hacks to not spike glucose?

Glucose spike slows down your brain and also slows down the process of neurons carrying information ( study of mechanism of glycemic variability accelerate diabetic central neuropathy )
•Low nerve conduction velocity aka the speed of neurons carrying information leads to brainfog and slowing down of brain
•Low glucose level leads to a lot of aggression therefore it's important to keep glucose level steady
•Being hangry means your glucose level is on a roller coaster ( big spike and big drop on glucose level )
•Tyrosine is a neurotransmitter that helps to keep our mood balanced so when there is a big hike and crash in glucose we alter our personality.
•Glucose spike increases inflammation in the body and the brain then it leads to symptoms like depression and anxiety and roo much of glucose spike causes us to become insulin resistance which leads us to depression
The Glucose Hacks
Hack 1: Eat foods in the right order
The right order to eat our food in to minimize a meal's gucuse spike is Fiber, 21 Protein and fats, 31 Starches and sugars
Hack 2: Veggie starters
Veggie starters reduce the glaccae spike of the mes that follows them. The objective ls for the veggle starter to make up about 30% of the meal
Hack 3: Stop counting calories
Counting calories doesn't necessarily improve health outcomes. And not all calories are equal calories derived from fructose are more detrimental than those from glucose are.
Hack 4: Savoury breakfast
A savoury breakfast is composed of protein (the centerpiecel, fat fiber (if possible optional starches and nothing sweet except optional whole fruit (use for taste)
Hack 5: Have any type of sugar, they're all the same
Al sugar is made of glucose and fructose. They all have the same impact on our body so have the one you prefer.
Hack 6: Pick dessert over a sweet snack
If we want to eat something sweet, it's better snack between meals have it as dessert after a meal than as a snack between meals.
Hack 7: Vinegar
Vinegar can be taken as 1 tablescoon In a tall glass of water with a stravel, or as a salad dressing, ideally up to 20 minutes before a meal This recluces the spise of your meal by up to 30%
Hack 8: After you eat, move
After your mess, when you can use your muscles for 10 minutes to reduce the glucoes apike of the meal. Examples: waking, tidving your house, doing calf raises, etc
Hack 9: If you have to snack, go savoury
Sweet snacks give us pleasure, savoury sracke give us energy. Savoury snacks include proteins, healthy fats, and ther
Hack 10: Put "clothes" on your carbs
Putting "clothes" on our carbs means edding protein, fat, or fiber to starches and sugars. This reduces
the speed of glucose absoration in our body
Thank you so much for the summary
This is awesome!

Merci du fond du coeur, les astuces marchent bien pour moi et vive la France. xD

I always eat 1 or 2 meals a day, eat eggs, chicken, lots of fresh vegetables, avocado, beans, lentils, tofu, I love my fruit, I also love almonds and cashews and always have a mini dessert at the end of my day. As a kid I was a foreign exchange student from the US to Thailand, and found the at-home diets there were always savory-leaning in the mornings - with sauteed veggies, fried eggs, and some type of spicy/curried meat served with white or white/brown/red rice mixes (I realize we see rice as a glucose-spiking carb, but the Thais can be slow and mindful with the amount of rice they actually eat overall).
I m just amazed by her beauty, simplicity and clean thoughts, i can feel her how fresh and clean mind she is having
I love her smile 😂
Watching this video makes me think about how, we should be more focused on controlling our glucose spike levels because there are so many ways they can impact our body.
My HBA1C used to be 13.5 when I was diagnosed, fasting sugar of almost 300, now its down to 5.6, I have been off meds for almost 2 years, just manage your diet. I just came across her channel, whatever she is saying is true and works well. Thats how I got better. And well I am also pursuing biochem so I know how it all works better now. Great stuff !!
Hi Jessie-Angel,
that was a great science show with very interesting informations ... and also this show I share on Facebook for my friends and followers. Thank you so much for your work. 🙏
It's really amazing how much I learned from you in 1 year - over your books, your videos and posts, your podcasts worldwide and all this great science shows you produced for us.
It sounds pathetic but it's true: You saved my life - I'm healthy now, total fit, sleep deeper/better, all my blood values turn to normal and I'm off from the medications therfore and last but not least: I lost a lot of weight (actually = 39 kg lost in total).
Sending you so much love & hugs (from the bottom of my heart to yours) ❤🤗💋😘,
Elisabeth 🌈-still from Düsseldorf, Germany-
Great stuff- it's been mentioned many times over the years, "you are what you eat" careful what you eat, don't start your morning with sugar etc.
I feel sad to them that they never take care of themselves instead they keep the bad habits. You have strong mind and discipline ❤💪
My god, I love this woman. She is graceful, beautiful, smart, and resilient. I could OD on her beauty and her brain.

haa haa wtf .. get your hand out your pants boy
creepy lol
Yup. There’s a compliment and then there are weird compliments.
...and she's French!
Wishing all of you who watch the video to benefit from the doctor's advice, wish everyone and their families joy and happiness
That was amazing episode... I am a Biotechnologist and i understand each and every word you said.... Keep sharing good things love from Pakistan
I stopped all sugar, carbs, alcohol & caffeine. The brain fog has lifted the psoriasis on my scalp has gone along with inflammation in my knee's & arthritis in my finger. I am also on MCT oil
Gee I hope your choice of partners improved too... im sorry to hear you went through this and are getting better
@@rollandjoeseph Thank you
Wish I had discovered this wonderful lady 10 years ago, but it isn’t too late to make changes! 🧡🧡
No I see why I have a mental fog after my caesarean delivery for my two kids. Now I know how im going to take care of my bad eating habits. Thank you so much 🙏
She just gave a solution to all my problems with one simple solution. I always had a thought that I knew that whenever i eat glucose rich foods I experience all the symptoms mentioned in the video title. If regulating my diet solves all my problems I'm giving it a try for a few months. Also thanks for sharing the research papers names.
You've earned a sub with this informative video
Pleased by your videos, I suggest as an Arabic woman that understands English that you translate your videos to arbic language as Dr. Burg did, your presentation is awesome, your explanation of scientific research is enjoyable so you will be more famous and you will benefit more people

Firstly, great outfit choice 👍🏻 secondly, such a well timed release. brain fog tends to make me feel so stupid when i struggle to maintain a conversation for a while, and i get annoyed about it and wonder how to deal with it and here you come making a video like this. Thank you for your efforts.
Presenter is so genuinely expressive that the material is that much more engaging
Thank you for sharing important information about mental health. Here from Brazil.
I hope you know how much you're contributing to the world. This video was a huge eye opener to me. Thank you!
I've been doing these hacks for several weeks and my cravings have SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. As a result I'm controlling my food intake and losing the pounds I need to in order to get back into the "Normal" BMI range.
I need the 10 hacks. Thanks
@@FlorenceOna Search RUclips for The Green Goddess and she has numerous videos. I have been doing pretty much only the four main ones she describes.
You are the best ,knowledgeable. I learn a lot about diabetes right now listening to your videos. I couldn’t find any doctors in LA that knows anything about Diabetes. you are going to be my doctor now on. I’m so happy I found you my dear.😘❤️🌹👏😊🇦🇲🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I found sweets and refined products in a morning, specially those white squared breads and sweet milk tea had a huge role in making me sleep in my early days. It took a series of cognitive difficulties for me to understand the negative impact of those junks had on me. Fortunately I survived. Thank you so much.
Thank you for being so honest about your own mental health. You are very brave. I too have had mental health problems depression, dissociation, anxiety. Since listening to you I have realised that too much sugar is a good part of my mood swings depression etc. Its time for me to make several changes. Thank you ❤
I need to thank the RUclips algorithm that I have found your channel 😊 this is pure gold ❤
No, you should research a bit more about this "glucose goddess" who's not a doctor or a nutritionist whatsoever. Her claims are frequently refuted by actual medical professionals
@@SE013 Many other nutrition RUclips channels are not doctors or nutritionists too. But no one complains about it, but if it's her, you get mad. lol. Real hater
@@SE013 I already did my research. She did not claim to be a practicing MD or nutritionist but she did study master in biochemistry. It’s okay to share your knowledge as long as it works.
@@adw6894 Who says no one complains about it? lol Quite the contrary, this culture of anti-intellectual pseudo-scientific propaganda on social media is a social phenomenon that is constantly problematized and studied. She is just one out of millions out there, and no one is giving her the credit of leading this movement.
@@ThunderboltPath You're absolutely right, but the point is that it does not work according to science and actual data. There were many things we thought "worked" in the past, including drilling a hole in the skull when sick. Thankfully, we live in a time where the scientific method yields more reliable outcomes.
It’s interesting, but when you already are doing a version of keto and the best you can do, the never ending blood sugar management and ruthlessness of how the body is…
It makes me wonder what chance some of us T1s have.
I am struggling with mental health problem, listening to your presentation, I realize that my condition worsened by craving sugar,, yoh,,,, I will change my diet,,, thank you for enlightening us❤
this is so true. I have started implementing eating vegetarian food 1 or 2 times a week and man..... the way I feel afterwards is amazing. My body thanks me immediately.
Thank you! I dont have migraines anymore. This method changed my life
happy to hear that 💖
Interessting...i have a migraine once in a while but also when im mental upset. I wanna try the harty breakfast instead of a sweet one too.
Love her voice, accent and delivery, so easy to listen to and keep up
You’re one of the few who has good delivery in communication in this video at YT. It makes me want to listen through till the end. Except hmm the ad. Many people on YT rush through their content, makes me feel rushed , I can’t afford to listen to these as it disturbs my ability to focus, causes anxiety.
Thanks
I read your book The Glucose Trick and have been fascinated by the topic ever since. When I stumbled across your RUclips channel, I was just as fascinated by what a wonderful person you are. I hope you reach as many people as possible with your insights on the subject of blood sugar. All the best😊
I cannot thank you enough for helping me to changed my bad eating habits. Feel sooo much better and lost 5kg in 3 months. Maybe this number is little for some but never lost this much in years😄😀 progress still a progress especially if you’re not trying so hard😊 im just enjoying my journey😊
I eat pretty healthy food 🥑🥝, even though I fell in a really deep depression case.. I'm recovering now, good habits are essential to get better from mental illness
"where have you been all my life"...this is the best channel i've seen of late, very insightful.
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
I wish they were readily available in my place.
Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac.
He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this
Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
Can dr.porassss send to me in UK?
Dont know how i found you, but so glad i did. Im finally acknowledging & addressing my sugar addiction. You motivate me! Thank you so very much!
Great video thank you I used to deal with a lot of brain fog also also diagnosed with anxiety and complex PTSD I noticed when I have a Savory breakfast I feel a lot better
Let’s be accurate here:
1.tyrosine is NOT a neurotransmitter, but the precursor of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin
2.there is more than just glucose spikes in the blood… if you exercise regularly, you will not feel as much the glucose spikes. And, the latest studies show that doing weightlifting regularly decreases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s…
in short: exercise regularly and you will avoid many aged-related diseases. What exercises? Two simple ones everyone can do at home: squats and push ups.
Brain and glucose are interrelated. As glucose spikes our neuro transmittors slows down and it is stable then our brain works more efficient way.
Surprise factor: high glucose levels reduced your irritation.
Thanks for sharing. Honest, empathetic and light content.
It’s been few months that I’m going through depression, so this video really ring a bell to me.
I’m gonna change my diet and limit my glucose !
Je fais fasse à une dépression depuis quelques mois, et vraiment ta vidéo fait tellement sens…

That’s the mistake
Two biscuits were just a fine desert.
Go troll somewhere else foo

Thanks for beautiful narrative...soo calm and smooth
The way she talks makes me comfortable and calm
May Allah solve your health issues 😢.ameen
I saw you on diary of a CEO and love all of this info! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I love your videos, easy to watch and so informative. X
I had brain fog for a few years. Also the flu was regular. Finally one doctor sent me for blood tests. I was hypothyroidic. Now i am fine. But I do remember the terror of brain fog.
Thank you so much for this insightful video!! I’m 55, lean gentlemen and always looking for ways to improve my health especially my brain. Hence, I’m very impressed by your research here and officially subscribed to your channel and looking forward to see your other content. *You are a beautiful and profoundly intelligent lady! First of all I wanna say your voice is very sweet and smile is very pretty.. Secondly, yeahh you're right there is much connection between our diet and mental health.. I used to take alot of sugars in the morning but now I decide to replace my sweety breakfasts with savory one.. I'm gonna follow your hacks!! .. Thanks for helping us out ✨
i am learning English here by her charming voices.
She is french as myself. Healthy brains learn faster.
Yes it's only
I love your videos! You're so insightfuk. I'd love to learn how to identify glucose spikes, how to identify the signals that our body sends to let us know we need to regulate our glucose.
She has an episode dedicated to pros/cons of wearing a glucose monitor.
I'd love to see a channel where it is all kinds of people from all over the world sharing what they eat in a day on a diet free of sugar. To get a visual and inspiration and ideas.
And including people with very limited spoons per day, like myself.
Making stuff from scratch can take up all my spoons for the day, which makes making it a sustainable habit quite the challenge
✌️
There's probably reddit forums with lots to look over.
Focusing on my diet and mental health was the secret for me getting sober.
I've never watched so many good sciency studies and conclusions in a smoothfly way. Congrats Jessie!
