There is no track that goes that low, 9 strings are usually down in C# or B. I know my tunings and notes, I'm Here is in Drop E, where the rest are in Drop F; 8 string and 7 string tunings

@@KanashimiMusic Drop F is the border of 7 and 8 string tunings, Drop E is 8 string. Nobody goes lower than Double Drop D for 8 strings cuz of the need for a longer scale length. C# Standard is the normal tuning for 9 strings and requires a really long scale to properly sound good and playable.

This is the video that got me into guitar. You were tuned so low that I thought it had to be a bass instead. So I got a bass and quickly realized my mistake when I was bored haha. Got a guitar about a month later and I've been playing for about 7 months now. Still going strong with big aspirations and it's all thanks to this video. That guitar inspired me and showed me my purpose in life, and that's to share my love of music with other people. Thanks man.
Break Through It All is by far my top 1 favorite sonic song of 2022.
Will never stop being baffling to me how after all these years people still go "Wait is that Sonic how is this Sonic?!?! No way this is from a Sonic game?!?!😱😱😱". Has no one listened to any Sonic soundtracks from 1998 up to 2010, this has almost always been Sonic, what do people expect to hear, Mario-like music?☠️

i agree but at the same time the only tracks sonic has that are actually this metal are the other titans theme and infinites theme, all the other tracks that dominated the 1998-2010 period were hard rock

Remember that the general public only know Sonic of the sega genesis era with his chiptune songs. The dark age of Sonic is not really well known, Let alone the soundtracks

@@kmpkingz8434 it was not heavy metal and did not have this much screaming I have very much listened to the sth soundtrack, the only vocal theme thats truly heavy metal is like almost dead. Shadow the hedgehog is mostly just metal/hard rock/alternative not heavy metal

Literally my favorite titan, its song is honestly tied with undefeatable for me find your flame is really good too but doesnt hit as hard for me personally

Undefeatable is the better boss song for me but the better song to just listen to is Break Through It All. Both make for banger songs for the gym though!

Thing I like most about this song is probably that the main theme for the guitar is almost always there with the few chugging riffs. It’s really the drums and background harmonics that change the feel of the whole song
Sonic had some metal tracks for sure, but boy did they go all in for Frontiers.
I've been listening to Break Through It All daily because of those screams and high notes. Like damn, Kellin's got _range!_

Been loving listening to this new sonic OST, been listening to a lot of that, Metal Hellsinger OST and Arknights OST lately, video game music really kicked it up a notch lately, there are older bangers but a lot more games making great standalone songs these past few years
Tomoya Ohtani outdid himself with this soundtrack. A top 3 among Sonic soundtracks. Even my friends who aren’t as into Sonic say this song is fucking badass.
This is my new favroite Sonic song. Everything, every little ounce of this track makes me so hyped.

I love watching peoples reactions to Sonic OST’s, because they’ve been doing this type of stuff for years, and people think that Sonic music is similar to Mario-like music. But nah, Sonic is on ANOTHER LEVEL.

The opening/cgi cutscenes are definitely some of my favourite things to see because they just so cool, especially because they are animated by Marza which makes some epic stuff. I’ve always loved the Sonic OST’s even when I was younger, but I only got into the fandom a few years back, I’m definitely glad I joined it it!
@@thefudgway hell yeah!! I actually had a break shortly after 2017, mainly cuz the fandom wasnt as active... i did watch the movie in 2020 but it wasnt until 2022 when sonic 2 was released that i revisted sonic and man i forgot how much i loved sonic
My dad actually played sonic games growing up in the early 90’s... but he isnt as familiar with the modern version (‘98- onwards) as i am
@@caity_strophic I can definitely relate to that, most of my family has played a few sonic games, but only the ones from the early 90s where they didn’t have the rock music from 98 and on. They are always surprised when they hear me listening to something, and they ask what it is and I tell them it’s Sonic!

Sonic only had a few metal songs before, but these are way heavier than their normal songs

Modern sonic has kinda been known for Rock OSTs. The mobile game "Sonic Frontiers" has a phenomenal soundtrack, not just for Mobile game standards!

Other than that, I agree. It’s an amazing sound track, and yeah, sonic isn’t a stranger to rock/metal music.
This is more like metal. This is the heaviest OSTs in a Sonic game ever. So you can’t really blame folks for getting caught off guard.

Simple, Sony fanboism and Sonic baias.
I mean they're two different games, so how the music is perceived is a bit different. If I had to guess: Sonic's music tends to lean towards simply "amazing music" without adding too much to the story itself, while Ragnarok's music pairs with what's happening, trying to tell a story in tandem with what you see on screen, subtly intensifying some emotions during certain scenes and selling the importance of certain details.
It's a hypothesis, though, so take it however you want
It had a better "score", sonic frontiers has amazing music but how each song ties together as a complete soundtrack with motifs and characters themes isn't as good as good of war or any of the other nominees. I'm sure if there was a subcategory for best individual music track Sonic frontiers would've won
