Several things:
1. My god this boss was insane, this fight alone is what sold me Sonic Frontiers. It's my favorite boss in the game.
2. I synced the original song with two of the QTE's (Quick time events) since the music sorta dies out when the happen, so hopefully that made it better for y'all.
3. It was almost impossible to do the cyloop attacks AND sync the song with my stats, so sorry if you guys were hoping to see those.
Even though this video was a pain in the ass to make, this was easily the most fun. So I hope you enjoyed, and have an amazing day!

One thing I wish the youtube audio would capture from actually playing the game is the AMAZING sound design of this fight in particular, that almost fighter jet sounding blast when you first boost across the island with the boss was SO epic to hear the first time I fought this boss
Its my Fav too For me before Sonic Frontiers released I was watching leaked footage and Listening to the leaked Songs, Break Through it all and this Fight convinced me sonic was worth giving a Try again.. after convincing myself i grew out of the series after Forces.. but now I've beaten Sonic Frontiers 3 Times.. I'm looking forward to The 2023 Content Updates.. and I've even Dug some of Old OC's out of the closet (litterally..) and started doing more Mature Rewrites of them.. to make them reflect my writing style now rather than when I was a kid...

Wyvern is such a fun & epic fight. Flying around all of Ares Island while a banger plays in the background. Not to mention Super Sonic effortlessly grabbing Wyvern by the muzzle and flinging it. He is *him.*

I assume you will have the will and the perseverance to do Knight right after this. If you think you can somehow sync the shield riding, then God bless your soul.
But here's a hint for you in case you don't feel like doing that: It is possible to never ride his shield if you manually Cyloop while he raises his shield. I would like to see someone manually Cyloop him, actually. It would be tons of fun!
You can just watch my stream called "KNIGHT" jk don't so that im not advertising trust me
Not just that, the shield feint mechanic works with knight too. When he blocks, just hit the dodge button and you'll fly right around his shield, able to attack again.

Something that always bugged me was the cutscene at 1:04 and how it just… abruptly stops and goes back to wyvern flying. Still my favorite boss, but I feel like this should’ve lead into the second phase or something and they just changed it at the last minute

It’s definitely an unintentional abrupt cut, but there’s something about it that sorta ends up emphasizing how strong Sonic is. Shit is so intense the scene had to cut away before it started to get gruesome, if that makes sense lmao
Idk I just think if it ever gets fixed, they could use this accidental transition to their advantage
@@cookieblobberi figured out what it is, after playing this fight enough, i realized the throw syncs with the music and doesn’t cut out if you time it right, its tricky but i got it a few times, i just wish the impact lasted longer

I also knew about the laser attack, I've had it activate a few times but I'm unaware of how it activates
I think my biggest flex in Frontiers was being able to get a perfect run on Giganto and Knight on my first try without knowing/trying. However Wyvern for me was just impossible. Good job sir!

FIRST OF ALL, AMAZING!!! YOU ACTUALLY PERFECTLY SYNCED IT!!!! YOU EVEN SYNCED "What Goes Around Comes Back Around Again" WITH THE MISSILES BALL QUICK EVENT!!! AMAZING TIMING!!! Second, will you also do Knight and Supreme?
And Finally, oh yes I knew about the laser attack, I got it once when I was trying to max out my cyloop meter and it actually surprised me and I was shocked I parried it, I recently learned that you need to hit Wyvern to the point where, first beat him up until he does his Tail attack, then parry the tail attack, don't press the buttons to throw Wyvern, just keep attacking until Wyvern has enough and attacks Sonic again, that's when he'll do the laser.

On my first play through of this boss I remember throwing Wyvern with the "This is do or die, I'll warn you one last time" line and it made me feel so cool....... I'm such a nerd
Fantastic job on syncing these first two bosses! Keep in mind that the Knight boss is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL since someone else has already done it. Overall great job, you just did what no one else could.
What's amazing about this boss battle is that it legit feels like a Dragon vs a God. And the Sync is sooo.... mmmmmmm good

The fog in that blooper made the battle so much more epic. The wyvern looks as menancing as they should.
Personally my favorite boss in the game was Knight since it was the most challenging (outside of the end) and just how kickass the design and concept of the titan itself is. But I do like Wyverns fight and how unique it was from the other battles. Kind of makes me wish for a fight similar to it but for something like an aquatic titan. (Also I genuinely didn’t know Wyvern had a laser attack wtf? This game keeps on giving!)
I do love wyvern flying around because it’s like the final hazard would be like now.

Good job. Plus the bonus at the end was worth it. Also the 1st phase with Giganto where knocking him back he rushes and tries to smack you.
Oh quick reminder! If you do Knight, remember that Find Your Flame only has 1 guitar solo. Before the official version came out, people thought that the song had 2 guitar solos because of the game files but it actually only has 1 guitar solo. Just wanted to helpa ya out and let you know in case you didn't know so that no mistakes are made if you do the video.

ngl the first bit of this boss theme where the lines went "ive been here waiting for the longest time, i cant believe its real" practically summarized a good bit of the sonic fanbase that wanted a new 3D sonic game that was actually decent (or at least better than what forces was and its ilk) and sure enough, out came frontiers and filled that void
2:53 I freaked out when sonic did this! It's literally physically impossible to do this! But yet, it just proves how powerful Super Sonic can be.. and each boss battle just keeps on proving Sonic is one of the strongest characters of all time!

I didn’t know he could shoot a laser beam. I have found so many new things that giganto can do that I didn’t know about. Did you know giganto can jump? Btw, when one of the over 20 times I’ve replayed this boss, I was able to sync the music perfectly without even trying. I was so amazed when it happened.

Just finished fighting Wyverm in this exact moment and then gotta be honest that’s one of the best videogame bossfights I’ve seen
A friend of mine who has a channel that's playing this game now was able to get the final moment timed pretty perfectly, can't wait for find your flame, honestly my number one of the 3

I love how you synched that bit of the song with the moment Sonic gathers all the missiles into a ball.
Undefeatable helped make Giganto's fight memorable. But the Wyvern was such a phenomenal boss fight it blew me away. The whole time it felt surreal, as you're flying around the island dodging rockets and circular lasers.
Haven't even played the game i just love the song it's amazing but yeah you did a great job at making this fight look perfect, the timing with some attacks was insane.

You underestimated how FRICIN LONG it takes to do a perfectly sync on wyven. In my free time, I try to do the perfect sync the bosses. I have already done Giganto and just finished Wyvern.

That laser beam attack looked like it was just not supposed to be there 💀, all the other wyvern attacks have great animation but in that one his whole body just rotates wonkily, plus wyvern just pausing in the air before hand? Wtf lol i have never seen that, good to learn more about my fav boss

The lazer attack is something new for me. I don't really fight Wyvern that longs because of the power ups I give Sonic. I usually beat Wyvern in like... Idk... just not that long. Wyvern never gets the chance to use the lazer attack. But now I want him to try it when I play. DANG. Nice fight man!
The music creator deserves a raise
Another thing people don’t talk about in this fight is how goddamn amazing the sound design is, from the rockets, the flare sound on wyverns laser, the sound of wyverns screams, the jet-like sounds of sonic flying. Really another reason why this is my favorite titan in the game

If we ever see a Life action Movie about Sonic frontiers, OMG THE BOSS FIGHTS WILL BE EVEN MORE EPIC!!! (If they are Perceftly Synced with the Background music and there is not Dialogue at all).
A tip for Knight if you want to sync the music in his fight: You can dodge the shield in phase one by attacking, then dodging to the right. Be careful, as he'll move after a bit!
sonic boom and phantom rush is so goated for that.
Oh one last thing, sorry 😅, I truly appreciate that you edited the music to play when the quick events happen, I always hated how the music just stops, it ruins the mood.
Is there a setting in the game that lets the boss music continue playing in the foreground when those button time events show up?
