The only part that you missed was the super cool giant bomb the End launches at Sonic that temporarily knocks him out of Super Sonic 2. Either way, AWESOME JOB
At this point Sonic is unkillable! Though looking at that end with Sonic smiling as he's out in space could you imagine if he died in this ending? While it would be sad I think his arc would really stand out! Throughout the series he was loyal to his friends and saved the world so many times and while he has had help before here he got help from his best friends he went on an adventure to save his friends and then unknowingly freed The End and after saving his friends he then goes all out to destroy The End! Not only saving his friends but also saving Eggman and Sage Sonic's arc is pretty much complete here and the game built up the other characters arcs, If Sonic died in this ending that would have been such an emotional moment fans would actually cry this time other than the 06 attempt! And NO I don't want Sonic to die I was throwing a what if on if he actually did die here how impactful it would have been
