I just realized Dave Thomas's theme song for Great White North was probably a variation of the main riff on his brother's song, "Pilot"

Such a great song - love love love Ian Thomas! I probably didn’t appreciate this episode and his performance back when I was a kid though. Loved Bob & Doug though and I even saw “Strange Brew” in the theatre.

Was curious what became of Ian Thomas and was pleased to see that he is a musician, composer and author and still at it at 73. Younger brother of Dave. Had never seen that episode of SCTV until now and was impressed with the performance of The
Ian Thomas Band.
