No phones. All laughing. Good sports from humors. This is a good decade.
"how do you explain this to your imaginary girlfriend?" HAHAHAHA
Yummy
"She's totally real! She just from Canada!"
This is one of the most memorable Conan segments. The "nerds" have a fantastic sense of humor.
I like that the nerds know and appreciate the roasting. Good for them. Gold.
I wish comedy like this was still around today. I genuinely laughed at every clip.
What m? This forced price of crap that’s considered humor. This was the most dumbest childish crap Conan ever came up with. Now he can’t say this or his ass would
Be canceled and rightfully so
These days half his screen time would be taken up by trigger warnings.
@@dingfeldersmurfalot4560 as should be is an unfunny hack
This comment is idiotic.
Guys, I’m here from the future. It’s only gotten worse.
An immortal clip. A real bummer that 2 of the regular folks featured here have passed on - the "supernerd" and the wizard guy. This was only 22 years ago and they weren't that old at the time this was filmed. Life is a swift river, gang - tell those whom you love that you love them, and mend fences while you can.☮
classic. I was very addicted watching this particular skit. I even memorized every lines from it.
AGSA5 such a accomplishment , mom must be sooo proud
Where is the button to call YOUR parents up?
"You can choose from all kinds of guys who have no idea how to please you"
"Pretty much..." She answers for all of us.

She busted a gut in the background after 2:13
These people have great sense of humour and sportmanship .. they were truly appreciating the triumph’s jokes ..
Trumph bullied a guy who wasn't even born yet, omg. I love this dawg!
True Dawg !
That unborn kid will be turning 20 this year!
This video is great because of how good-natured everyone is-they get the schtick, and they're amazing for it.
I love how all of the fans are legitimately enjoying this roasting and are good sports about it. Nerds are good people
Hands down, one of the funniest bits I’ve ever watched. This show was a beacon of light in my teenage years.
I was a sophomore in HS when this first aired. To this day it is one of my favorite sketches of all time. And much like today, I revisit it when I need a nice nostalgic laugh
Junior here
Same here. I was in tears when it first aired and it’s still hilarious.
Makes me feel old watching this again. 5:10 that "baby" would be 20 now.
@@TheNavyShark haha, I think about that every time I watch it 😂
I was in 8th grade
Spock showing up to give them the finger was the logical conclusion. It would've been an empty victory for Triumph without it.
“Here’s a spoiler, you’ll die alone” 😂 when he said “which one of these buttons calls your parents to pick you up?” I was crying. He destroyed and could barely stop himself from laughing.
Best roast EVER!
Man I wish triumph did this during the avengers movie premieres.
Oh such a great idea
yeah but there are just regular ppl there now, not even proper nerds :s
@@CaptainAMAZINGGG Nah, I'm sure there are plenty of basement-dwelling nerds to be found at those premieres. Normal people too, but the nerds won't be hard to find (they're probably more likely to be attending on opening day than normies are).
Nobody lines up anymore
@@CaptainAMAZINGGG found the nerd
I love how everyone he interacts with seems to enjoy it as much as we enjoy watching it.
I’m a die hard Star Wars fan, and 17 years later this is STILL one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
"Ceremonial banging of the plastic toys"
#classic !
I laughed so hard it hurts. This is Triumph at his best. The nerds are adorable
This just never gets old. Probably his best work.
Bill Dineen Hi. Yes
Ahh one of the best nights I’ve had...I remember watching this opening night after having just watched Episode 2 with my friends. We were 17, we just smoked a joint before this came on and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life. Seriously, it’s one of my fondest memories. We were on the floor, curled up in pain, crying from laughing so hard. Great times for sure. Miss those days.
"You have the pick of the litter here, all these men who have no idea how to please you." ROFL!!!!!!
This was the best Conan skit ever. Possibly one of the Top 10 skits in TV history.
I remember that dragonmaster guy showing up on a triumph tour or something(I think there was a DVD of it)...cause Robert smiegel(spelling) liked him so much
I remember that. It was a CD/DVD combo and they did a song to the tune of Monster Mash called Blackwolf the Dragonmaster. The best bit was with Horatio Sanz. "Oh, look at me, I have eyes, I can see things!" "Showoffs with the eyes!" Man, I gotta find that.
ruclips.net/video/bjE5WwACHgk/видео.html&feature=emb_logo
Listening to Smigel make himself laugh with these terrific one-liners is everything.
Never gets old. One of the funniest things ever recorded.
I distinctly remember watching this with my dad live. He was rolling. Rip Pops
RIP for sure. What a great moment for you two.
RIP to pops. Those moments are always the best! Remember them always!
This never, ever gets old. It's a true all-time classic.
R.I.P., Blackwolf the Dragon Master.
20 years later and the Catholic priest joke is still relevant. Sad
Im sure 500 yrs ago, same story...

Dead Purple it was never acceptable. Jesus never accepted that and will never will in the church or outside of it.
They should send Triumph out for Episode 9
In current year they would brand him "problematic"
Boone’s lining up for that, there’d be no content
Ep9 will humiliate itself, I'm afraid.
Triumph would be arrested for making a joke over someone's 1 of 500 sexualities, assuming he's a man but really identifies as a 12 year old girl. And then Triumph would be indicted for sexual assault of a woman he made out with 24 years ago, because she remembered off the fly that he used his tongue and that's lip rape.
@@serpentsepia6638 Now that you mention it, that is most likely true.
Conan said on a piece with Terry Gross, that he thought this one of the funniest on the street bits that Robert Smigel ever did. A lot of re-written jokes and a lot of improv and also just a lot a good natured fans that like to laugh at themselves. Excellent piece of comedy!!
Not a cell phone in sight, just living in the moment.
Exactly.
@@VegetoStevieD Cellphones weren't really what they are today back then. We're 5 years away from the iPhone. Internet on phones was a novelty at best, and cameras were rare and (again, at best) kinda bad.

can you imagine watching something this funny on TV as it aired for the first time and laughing so hard but having no way to show your friends or watch it again.... unless you just happened to record it on VHS?
i saw the same movie at that theatre. it was an awesome experince
All my buddies were stoners and we always watched Conan at my house...........so we all just laughed and talked about it later. In fact the only time I watched anything back then was with friends.
Now I only watch things alone, intentionally. The memories are nice though.
I lived it. We recorded it on a VCR and showed it to our friends
this spread round the net at the time, really low bitrate stuff. I don''t even think I was aware of Conan and watched this clip (in Australia). We watched it over and over and just cried laughing every time
In 1999 we were sharing a pre-release version of the Matrix on the university LAN (split into two halves, due to file size limitations). By 2002 you could find funny video clips like this, but someone would have had to have a TV tuner card, capture it OTA or from cable, compress it, and then share it at pretty low quality on LimeWire.
I remember watching this as a kid and 20 years later its still gold
Triumph was at his most savage in this. It must be one of his best performances.
TRUUUUU
Definitely. But he still completely hits it out of the park in his Wiener's Circle, Michael Jackson, and the unedited version of his takedown of Don Rickles, who had been coasting on non-funny non-sequiturs for decades. His Chris Christie segment was outstanding too, and his Bon Jovi one had some hilarious stuff too. He's got some duds, like anyone would, but overall is just so damn good.
@@dingfeldersmurfalot4560 Wiener's Circle is definitely premium Triumph. I don't know if I've seen him funnier.
I remember watching this the day it aired and laughed so hard. It’s one of the funniest and most memorable moments in television history. The only other moment I can ever remember laughing as hard was watching the Chapel/Rick James episode when it first aired.
Chapel 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same for me. I got this clip from Kazaa 20 years ago and laughed so hard I cried. Conan and Triumph instantly became my favorite comedians.
God, I'm getting old. I remember discovering Triumph with this clip back in the day. Still funny AF ... :D
