Thank you for the uploads!! I used to love this show back in the mid-80s. If I am recalling correctly, the Syracuse, NY, PBS channel used to play it on Sunday nights around 11:00 PM. I also remember Billy Van from being on multiple variety shows back in the 70s. In addition, Stephen Young, certainly! "Judd for the Defense," "Soylent Green" and "Seaway." He's an actor that simply seemed to have disappeared.

Dave Thomas was in the very first series? I thought he came later. Oh well, maybe I'm thinking of Martin Short. Thomas left big bucks from (Coca Cola?) advertising executive million$ to be on SCTV because he was bored. It worked out for him because he went on to make bigger bucks in American TV.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. We laughed and laughed over this, and we had a beta machine where we could watch it again and again. Bobby Bittman as Caesar...a talking tractor...when work is done...forever SCTV!

Norman Mailer pounding on Gore Vidal! What a hoot. A low brow look at high brow antics that only the Melonville SCTV crew could pull off. They were the zenith of ensemble comedy and the recurring characters they created have never been topped, in my book. Andrea Martin is in my top 5 comediennes list. Thanks for posting these.
