This is fascinating. The *_actual_* commercials in this broadcast episode of SCTV are like skits from SCTV. I have been mistaking them for skits throughout these posted episodes.
my friend zoran, used to do odd jobs for sctv folk, and sometimes extra...he is the first fellow in evelyn wood speed eating, about 7 55...he said, he knew john candy before he was famous, he said candy was a normal guy, and a good guy....and he also said, "candy, he still owed me ten bucks" total johny larue action.]
So true he was on his way ti a shaving commercial audition. Told me he was going to get into comedy. I never found him funny til he started doing movies. A great loss. E

These were the season two episodes. Rick Moranis didn't come on until season three. The reason the opening has Dave Thomas as the cohost of Great White North/Kanadian Korner is because the episode is using a syndicated opening from the 1980s, not the original from the 70s.
I always thought Bobby never got the credit he deserved. This movie really let him show his versatility. He nailed it.
I hear you. I always felt that Lola, although she had some great legs, probably kept him from bringing home an Oscar.
Great actors are like a big bowl of steamed rice. They stick together.
I couldn't believe a funny man like Bittman could do drahma so well.

@Michael Delaney ... thanks for this, and for including some of the commercial content from 1986, that brought back some memories!

How many people today know what a stevedore is?
Toys R Larue!
Bobby Bitman, the king of bling, and the a great example of a no talent empty suit. Levy is great as Bitman.
Mary Hart epileptic seizure Entertainment Tonight is a fright fest.
Why isn't Rick Moranis in these episodes? In the opening credits they show Dave Thomas as a McKenzie brother.

Canais is correct. These are all second-run syndication eps with a generic opening (the late season 4 opening)
Bobby Bitmann is the sad velvet clown of comedy. So dramatically unfunny.
Could you PLEASE eliminate local TV spits. Very irritating
no no not if they are local to locals ..brings good memories
@@kafkachekhov Heck, they add to the whole "local tv" feel of SCTV IMO.
Just thanks for uploading these
No no that is what makes it so authentic....I carry the " Survival" knife 😂
