I just received mine!I manually programmed my local PD frequencies in but they're not working!so I don't know if Wichita Kansas is analog are digital!I can listen to them on my laptop through a app are through broadcastfiy any ideas
Works excellent recommended. For excellent reception get a outdoor whip antenna works really good can pick up 60 miles away on a whip antenna on the roof. The wick antenna that comes with it doesn't pick up good at all
Google "(my home county name) scanner frequencies" and look for the Radio Reference page. This will tell you not only what the frequencies are but if they are using any special modes like encryption. Mine will be "Allegheny County scanner frequencies".
One gripe about scanners is that you have to put up with EMS and fire tone-outs. They can be beyond annoying, especially when they wake up others. I have a video of the Magic Notch automatic audio notch filter on my channel, and it does a marvelous job of killing those annoying tones.

I wanna order one but I'm not sure if it will work. In my area, the city is digital while the county is analog.
