It's not this guy's fault some people don't know how to use a scanner properly. Apply yourself if you really want to learn.he explained everything perfectly.
I have a whistler 1010. I have not had any trouble with the scanner. Works like it’s supposed to. The volume is pretty loud and clear to! And I didn’t t need a code to activate the scanner. Lucky me I guess...
Airshow World - in 2019 AOR announces the Ultimate Airshow scanner, the AOR AR-7400. looks like this one will be made by AOR, because it uses the same Chassis as the AR-DV1, but with a Black with RED trim paint job. the AR-7400 has 4 VFO Tuners, it can Receive 4 Frequencies at the same time. it can Tune the AM Broadcast band , the FM Broadcast band , the VHF Air band and the Military Air band. it Features a SD card reader and a Front headphone jack. the back Features a BNC Antenna connector, Four Speaker outputs. its due out in 2020 Sometime.
Does the scanner still receive airband as airband is now 8.33 khz frequently step's I've heard the marine band uses different steps now aswell , I'm not sure about purchasing one now as I doubt it'll pick up much at all.
Yes you can scan between channels, the two channels that you want to scan between has to be set as a priority channel, then the radio will check back and forth between the channels
Accidentally threw my receipt away and was told my activation code was on it so I can't get into it and the store is no help at all. Can anybody plz help me to get it to work without the code from my receipt? Thanks
Signals outdated? Found one for cheap can't get anything to work even outside after watching more I see its not just me. Well it was cheap guess I'll keep it
For Airshow scanning , I do NOT recommend and scanners from Whistler or Uniden. They have piss poor AIR band reception as well as piss poor MILAIR reception. You are better off with a Current ICOM wide receiver, even if it’s just a R-6. other receiver like the Discontinued AOR and YEASU entry level Receiver are a great choice for MILAIR / VHF air comes.
This thing sucks I just returned mine yesterday after I bought it it only picked up weather channels not good for police or fire department don't waste your money IM IN USA BY THE WAY IT SUCKS

Do you even HAVE the radio? This is the weirdest tutorial I've seen.
I was loaned to radio by Moonraker, I must admit I was not a fan of this radio, very little that I could do as a review but I did my best,

How do I use this? Program it and listen in my area? This is differant then the 1 I use to have.
Its a very basic scanner, quite outdated now, my best recommendation now would be the uniden 125 for pprtable use or the bct15x as a base station.

I would not recommend this radio at all
Are any scanners worth buying these days?
I would reccomend the Uniden 15x, if its for airband and marine, the 15x is a base scanner but i love them, i have lots of Tutorials about the 15x

Bought this a while back in the UK..absolute rubbish..wouldn't find anything at all..
I think you can tell by my small review that i wasn't impressed
Seems to be more suited to the USA market..but most definitely wont find a single channel at all..
