Thanks Jules! Really glad to help. Have you seen the other videos in the playlist? The latest combines the pillar glitch and the rug glitch. I hope your building goes smothly and the settlement turns out just how you want it.
Good to see people still making Fallout 4 videos, I've recently started a new playthrough and look forward to the endgame building, something I enjoyed when the game originally came out :)
Me too! For years I was obsessed with endgame building. I thought it was about time to finish my other faction playthroughs. I'm enjoying playing through the main stories again but I'm itching to get back to the end game building! lol
@@CrossStCroix-no6dv Yeah I agree! Fallout 4 is still a great game, the mod community are keeping new content coming and we still have the next gen update and new Creation Club content to come from BGS. So still lots to look forward too.
@@shankiemctater5822 Well yes and no. Personally, I'm enjoying the next-gen update for my no mods playthroughs, not so much for my modded playthroughs! Lol Overall the game is buzzing with people again. Now we just need the next-gen update update. Lol
You have a real talent for explaining these 'basic" build techniques in a clear easy to understand fashion for new players like me. Thank you for taking the time to make this and your other "glitch" tutorials.
That's very kind of you to say. Thank you. I did get a bit of hate from the "experts" about this series but they were always intended for all the new players that were asking me for tips. It's great to know they are helping to give a quick introduction for new players as intended.
@@FalloutPBC It's that hate and lack of understanding from many of the "experts" that makes it so damn hard to find good clear explanations of such techniques for us newer players. So thank you for your time and effort once again.
@@dwarf_nz483 Thanks for taking the time to let me know things like this. It's great to know that the time was well spent and people did find them useful. All the trouble I had with the tips series put me off from making anymore but I'll definitely be rethinking that now, thanks again.
Recently started a new survival playthrough with lots of settlement building, I thought I've gotten pretty good at it and never even heard of "select all" This is gonna be amazing! Thank you for this video and showing me how to make building even better! :D
Thanks for watching Luis! I agree it's amazing how may people are still playing the game regulaly after 7 years. Or how may new players are just discovering the game and joining the community. Enjoy your building my friend.
It's amazing what you can do with no mods, isn't it? So many cool ways to combine techniques. The rug and pillar glitch combined is the next video in the series.
One of the only glitch videos to mention and explain “select all” every other video just assumes noobs don’t exist. Been tryna figure out the pillar glitch for months. Flameo hotman.
Thank you for this information. Could you though include what "select all" means, as I do not have a button on my keyboard for that, please. Building a huge settlement at Starlight, and need this glitch badly.
@@FalloutPBCThanks for the tip, Im having a lot of trouble using the other items to sink and move but maybe i just need a little more practice since im pretty new with this game. I will keep watching your videos to learn more. gettings from mexico.
I seen a walk-through where concrete foundation was used as the walls and they snapped and glitched through all the hedges and no matter what do I can't do it
My first play through I just used the junk fences and guard towers my 2nd I tried basically using the concrete walls as the sanctuary walls but I cannot glitch through the tree and hedges like they do in the videos
No the pillar is part of the concrete build set from the Wasteland Workshop DLC fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Wasteland_Workshop#Settlement_objects As I show in the video if you don't have that DLC any object that sinks will work fine, the concrete pillar is convenient but not essential.
As I show at 1:43 you don't need to use the concrete pillar, any sinking item will work. But if you do want the concrete set it's in the Wasteland Workshop DLC. fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Wasteland_Workshop
The concrete set is from the Wasteland Workshop DLC I think. But as I point out in the video the system works with any item that sinks, even the base game ones.

@@freddysoto6909 Any object that sinks will work but It is much easier with the concrete pillar.
Can this work for the hedges southwest of sanctuary??? There needs to be a guide on how to glitch through those hedges
This is something to try with the rug glitch rather than the pillar. I'm not sure if I've ever used it on the hedges, but it should work.
