I like how trashy yet civilized it looks. Gives that post post-apocalyptic vibe. Wish Bethesda designed settlements like this instead of garbage everywhere with holes in every wall and the ceiling.
I'm new to Fallout and was a bit confused after learning that the events take place 200 years after the bombs drop. I expected that to be more than enough time to have certain settlements, especially high end ones like Diamond City be much more civilized and well put together. That and some of the more minor details like the pre war skeletons littered around without wasting away.
This just goes to show how much of a good game Fallout 4 is, despite people always hectoring Bethesda. Not perfect, but not as bad as some *cough* nv fanbois *cough* would have you believe. Glad the show rekindled people's interest and love for Fallout in general.
Turning the floors to all face the same direction is something I spend half my time friggen doing when building in Fallout 4. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this because it bothers me SO much when I see a spot where it's facing the wrong way. LOL
Reminds me of why I installed Place Anywhere. Saved my sanity. But I remember your old builds. You and Norespawns got me to start playing Fallout 4 all those years ago.
@@TheBadash44 I just use place everywhere or anywhere, one for the PC. I also use Sim Settlements 2 for most of my building lately. Haven't played FO4 very recently though. It is all very chaotic.
At 21:00 there is actually a method of sinking the pillar into the floor without having to delete it. If you place a campfire on the floor, a pillar can sink through it. I guess the game considers the campfire as the ground. I'm sure this tip will save you a lot of pain and suffering in the future
Someone probably already mentioned this, but I was watching your decorating part and realized there is a vanilla trick you might not know. Since things won't sink into player built structures, you can use the campfire item on top of the floor to create a sink point inside a player built structure. The farm plot also works for this but it is larger and sometimes harder to place. But if you can get it in, it gives you more wiggle room to get things perfectly lined up. You may already know about this. I was just so pleased with myself for knowing something that could help so I figured I'd comment. Awesome video and build. I love the way it turned out and I am definitely going to try some of the things you showed for decorating.
🤣🤣🤣 I should’ve checked the comments I just commented the same thing. You can also use the standing ashtray to merge his computer into a table as long as the top of its keyboard is sticking out at least
I LITERALLY CHECKED ON YOUR CHANEL EARLIER TODAY, seeing how everyone’s playing fallout again and was disappointed to find that there were no new videos from you and not an hour later you POST THIS BANGER! Hope to see more from you!!!! ❤❤❤
Appears out of nowhere with a fallout video after 2 years of nothing. The legend returns! I hope to see many more settlement builds that include bathrooms lol. You were my inspiration to really get into settlement building.
I literally just bought Fallout 4, clocked six hours today and this comes up on my feed! I’m absolutely loving the game so far, as an Animal Crossing fan back in the day I’ve been so excited to make all the houses but have been super overwhelmed. Thank you so much for this video! I’ll be going back and watching the old ones too 🖤🖤🖤
I remember watching this video back in like 2017/2018 while I was working on my build for the Castle because I wanted a house for the general that looked nice. Ive since taken those videos down since they were so outdated and old. But Ive been getting back into Fallout 4 and its so refreshing to see the builder community come alive again. EDIT: I also genuinely forgot to add. CordlessVII is one of the best content creators. I have had the pleasure of interacting with him in his discord server a long time ago. Genuinely an all around good person.
Wow was literally just checking out your videos and was bummed when I saw that recent video was uploaded a year ago. Nice to know you’ve still got a passion for this!
Been subbed since you had 2k, so glad to see you back making Fallout videos. All of my settlements in Fallout 4 look so much better thanks to your tips.
Great video! I still remember years ago your underground Vault 88 build that was like Pre-War Sanctuary, that was awesome. Really wish you released some of your builds like that one especielly, because they were spectacular. Anyway, you've been a big inspiration and have taught us alot! Seems like forever since I've seen a video from you.
Watching you stress over placing those blocks was like watching myself. The last time I played Fallout 4, I spent 2 hours trying to line floor pieces up perfectly with the slab and stairs before putting up any walls. 🤣
Love this build! Only issue is when you put the stores elevated like that to look like cupboards, It makes the npc’s all glitch out trying to hang at the bars. Also a nice tip is you don’t have to remove floors to do the pillar glitch. If you place a campfire down it allows you to put the pillar where the camp fire is and viola it works!
I like to build on the plot at the end of the cul-de-sac. I built there on my first playthrough; The earth behind the plot slopes downward pretty steeply, which allowed me to add a basement full of power armor and crafting benches.
Good to see you back You were one of the 1st I subscribed to when fallout 4 first came out and it is good to revisit. I learned fairly recently that you can use the camp fire on the foundation to sink the pillar into the foundation while using the pillar glitch
This is so great! Looks like a real home from the past with a living room, bar kitchen, and upstairs is the best with the power armor. You have great talent in building Settlements.
Absolutely genius design, the last one was awesome but def gave that simple Minecraft vibe. I’m gonna take a lot of inspiration with the interior pieces when I start making Egret Manor my beach home
I'm so glad you are back, it genuinely brought me a feeling of happiness and nostalgia, I hope me telling you to come back a few days ago brought you some inspiration lol
4 months late started to play fallout 4 again for nostalgia and I wanted of make this exact house and well found this and it’s the best tutorial he tells you the basics not rushing through it and actually doesn’t talk like a robot👍🏻
It's good to have you back. I watched when you built the original house, so seeing you revisit it is pretty cool. What's even better is that I'm still subscribed. 🖖I'll keep an 👁 out for more videos.
*Pro Tip:* _If you need to sink something in with the pillar glitch but you have a placed floor in the way, use a campfire from the decoration tab. The pillar will sink through the campfire into the floor!_
Hi! Your builds were a big part of my inspiration to get into building myself. You helped me develop my toolset. So thanks! Great to see you back in the saddle!
Not really into building except for interior but decided to watch the whole video and learnt so much, and omg your interior did not dissappoint. I was so impressed, deffo stealing some ideas thank u :)
This is great! I was watching your old videos of Fall Out. I've played the game tons of times but only now getting into MODing and focusing more on settlement building. Settlements is almost an entire game on its own. Thanks for posting!
And another legend returns to the wasteland. Welcome back Cord. Impressive rebuild of an ancient home. You OX AND general Dave are THE 3 who facilitated my fall into settlement building madness....appreciate all the work you did and welcome back
I recently got into playing fallout again, I always loved building settlements in the game... My favorite build I did was a full prison work camp for my raider leader character. it was pretty sweet with multiply levels and a glue factory inside so all my enslaved little workers made me plenty of glue and bullets.
man I remember figuring out so many of these things on my own way back in the day, seeing this brings back fond memories of hours of suffering as I tried to build large intricate settlements.
You don’t have to remove the floor to sink the pillar into the floor, just use a fire or a planter box, since they have dirt or ground built in. Fun build, love the fireplace, going to do that next time! Ty!
Lots of great ideas. I had to redo the downstairs walls so that the upper floors would fit, but after that, all was good. Except had to move the bar out as got inundated with settlers! Love your pronunciation of buoy, then I saw the spelling. The fire 🔥 looks great. Thanks for all the info and ideas, and it has spurred me on to try some of my own.
I didn't know about the up and down movement with the left bumper. Or the door. And I love the fireplace. Great ideas I think I'll try some smaller houses.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I got back into the game a month ago, and barely finished the main story. I wanted to get into settlement building, but I'm not a good builder. Replicating this will be perfect for my player home.
It's like a dream, mixed with a memory! You made my week and my month my guy! So much positive emotion sweeping over me like the shockwave after an atomic blast
This... this is absolutely outstanding and as charming as it gets, I'll get on construction immediately! Thank you SO much for the inspiration and blueprint!
So glad to see you back on youtube dude, loved your videos back in the day. I've been building in Fallout 4 again and your videos have always inspired me to do more interesting and exciting builds!
Pillar glitch just sounds right! I'm not sure who originally figured out this trick, but I was introduced to it by Skooled Zone back in the days. Can't believe you have been uploading Fallout 4 videos for so many years too and I'm just finding you :O Awesome video :) Thanks for keeping this amazing game alive.
18:51 - "It just feels safer." - At least until you roll over in your sleep and sever a body part on the broken glass in the window, or raiders decide to shoot at you while you sleep. 🤔
If you do the campfire glitch, you won't need to remove the floor when you pillar glitch those bar counters in. You can lay the campfire on the floor, and that let's you sink the pillar through it. It works with the garden plot too, but that's big and hard to fit.
On that location, I built a two story all out of wood. The 2nd floor back had my guard post and turrets. I dressed the first floor up as a guard post with chairs and easily grabbed food.
Thanks for this! I recently bought the game because of the show. It’s really fun but I haven’t gone too far in the game and barely know what happens and how to do things like this, so thanks for the tutorial
DAMN UUUUUU CORD !!!! Haaaahaaaaa u gonna want to make me reinstall my game & do sum new builds lol. I always LOVED ya Fallout build vids. DO more NEW 1's lol. I like most of ya followers honestly miss ya build vids.

i must admit that i love this building of yours. I actually replicate it for the nora spouse companion on abernathy farm. Just i add a bathroom on the back door, and make a diferent deco without the power armor, and a deathclaw head on the fire place xD
I’ve only just started playing. I’m so glad you changed the direction of those floorboard. What kind of monster doesn’t line up the floorboards correctly. Turns out: lots of RUclipsrs, that’s who. 😅
This just gave me the motivation to actually start building again, thanks dude Edit: I’m doing it without the fireplace as it is too mich of a pain in the ass.
To help you a lil at the end on how to put the bar up there you were talking about removing the floor. You don’t need to place a campfire or planter square in misc under food right at the edge of the bar. It creates a fake ground that you can sink pillars through. Then just build the two bars elsewhere do the pillar glitch and since the campfire/planter is already there you can sink or raise to you where you need it. Anyways great video definitely stealing the layout for my new play through build in sanctuary
Wait, no bathroom? I think the storage room in the first floor could have a small bathroom instead since storage can be on the second floor... or vice versa, the bathroom on the second floor, the storage on the first
Man I was really excited to see you posting a new video, even better a fallout build video. I have been wondering what had happened to you since I hadn't seen anything for a while. Actually checked your page just the other day. Loved the vid. ✌️
I like how trashy yet civilized it looks. Gives that post post-apocalyptic vibe. Wish Bethesda designed settlements like this instead of garbage everywhere with holes in every wall and the ceiling.
Agreed. After 200 years, settlements ought to be hitting C19th log & wood cabins at least, probably with lumber mills.
I had to do a double take, a Cord Fallout video? In 2024?????
Fr same did not expect that would happen lol
Cause of tv show trend, but i'm glad since I still play the game, although i need mods at this point.
Right?!!
ONG This is nuts
The king is back
I love how so many of the Fallout RUclipsrs we used to watch during the peak of Fo4 are coming back!
Glad to see you back in fallout! 🎉
same here
Imagine if Jug came back with a new 50 tips and tricks vid after all this time.
Just need vynlicpuma to start uploading again and we're so back
This just goes to show how much of a good game Fallout 4 is, despite people always hectoring Bethesda. Not perfect, but not as bad as some *cough* nv fanbois *cough* would have you believe.

It's absolutely unacceptable to have mismatched floor directions and anyone who does not adhere is mentally ill. Facts.
Returns out of nowhere, drops absolute banger, refuses to elaborate. Neat!
It is good to change things up and not let people know it is coming. :D
Bug returns
i mean he elaborated for the first minute and a half but ok
Hey im having trouble finding those beer bottle decorations he set up anyone know where to find them in workshop mode or unlock them?
Reminds me of why I installed Place Anywhere. Saved my sanity. But I remember your old builds. You and Norespawns got me to start playing Fallout 4 all those years ago.
QWAPA and USO can be a nightmare to work with in my opinion. I use them, but I’ve noticed a lot of bugs in my game with them.
@@TheBadash44 I just use place everywhere or anywhere, one for the PC. I also use Sim Settlements 2 for most of my building lately. Haven't played FO4 very recently though. It is all very chaotic.
@TheBadash44 yeah uso is weird the pathing doesnt work very well with certain stuff like walls
Thanks for exposing how woefully inadequate my settlement building skills really are.
Good stuff!
😂😂 same.

Big fan of the porch concept. Adding depth to builds is really one of the best ways to improve them

Great video! I also struggle with making my buildings too big, so now I'm going to try to make some smaller stuff.
Awesome vid. I definitely used some of your ideas on a couple of my houses in my channel. Thank you for your great content.
I've never been more impressed with a build until now. Will definitely be taking notes :)
Holy cow, The prophecies are true! A cordless Fallout video!
Wow it’s been so long since I’ve seen you do a Fallout video I thought you quit doing them. Good to see you back doing it again.
You made the snapping in of the walls look so much easier than it is lol it's amazing
A brilliant surprise to see a Cord Fallout 4 build again!! Hopefully the show has inspired a few new builds ideas!!
"Eh, it's fine. Argh, that's going to bother me. It's fine. It's fine. Argh, ok, I'm fixing it." --me, about 1000 times. :D
This... this is absolutely outstanding and as charming as it gets, I'll get on construction immediately! Thank you SO much for the inspiration and blueprint!
Never thought of using a buoy as a bead curtain. Blends right in here.
Making me feel like a kid again Cord 🥹
first video ive ever watched of yours and 10/10. New fan
So glad to see you back on youtube dude, loved your videos back in the day. I've been building in Fallout 4 again and your videos have always inspired me to do more interesting and exciting builds!

I thought I was seeing 👀 things when this notification appeared... Great! to see you strap on the tool belt again Cord 😁.
Glad you're back...always loved your builds....hope to see more like this!
YES!! I was just thinking abt you and your vids after getting back into fallout and having the desire to build better settlements
Never saw your channel before until today, even though I’ve played Fallout 4 since release….this was fantastic
Dude I literally watched that video for the first time yesterday, that's hilarious. Very useful videos bro!
DAMN UUUUUU CORD !!!! Haaaahaaaaa u gonna want to make me reinstall my game & do sum new builds lol. I always LOVED ya Fallout build vids. DO more NEW 1's lol. I like most of ya followers honestly miss ya build vids.
Liked the tips and tricks!
My OCD went bonkers when things weren't aligned.
I always love all of your Fallout 4 vids Cordless! You always make things way better than I ever could! I was stoked to see a Corless VII Fallout 4 & I knew it had to be because of the Fallout Tv show! Looking forward to season 2 of the show! Hope we get to see more Fallout vids from ya Cordless!!!
i must admit that i love this building of yours.
I’m so here for more Cordless VII FO4 build videos. Please make more. We miss you.
nice of you showing all the proces, kudos my friend
I find this house very comforting, there is a chance that my nate had got himself a house. Like it buddy
For stairs like that, I always use the shack fence/railing. Looks a little weird, but it fits and it can double like a railing.
This just gave me the motivation to actually start building again, thanks dude
Edit: I’m doing it without the fireplace as it is too mich of a pain in the ass.
Bro's irritating perfectionism is deeply relatable.
Great to see another Cordless Fallout video. Good to have you back!
Got some new ideas from your decorations. Awesome job.
I love you for being just as obsessed with the millimeter positioning of items as I am
To help you a lil at the end on how to put the bar up there you were talking about removing the floor.
You seem like a great funny guy. No idea what your normal content is like but the first 5 minutes convinced. Subscribed
This makes me wanna play and build again in fo4. Buidling was one of my favorite things to do in fo4.
This is proper nostalgia - a Cord Fallout build video!!
Welcome back. I hope to see more fallout 4 building videos, I learned so much from you.
The game really likes to make building difficult for no reason lol
