I want to compliment you on your “how-to video” making abilities, literally the very best instructional video ever. When you said at the start that you were going to show the issues as well as show how to replace it necessary I almost moved on because I thought there’s no way this dude can show all that in under 7 minutes and the information be of any use. You are quite efficient! You didn’t talk to fast and you explained and showed each detail in the process. Normally a fix like this would be a hour and a half video that would leave you brain dead at the end. Great job great video you’re awesome and I love you! Thanks for saving my printer:)
Beautiful...waded through so much rubbish and beating round the Bush, completely sidestepping our issue...which was cartridge carriage was jammes/locked. This video cut straight to our exact problem and solved it expertly. Love it. Your an epson God and I'm naming my printer after you. X
Thank you Kevin! I replaced my waste ink assembly today with the part you sent. The waste ink WF-3640 fit perfectly for the WF-7720 (just a longer waste hose like you said) I got to see a lot of you today watching your videos. The WF-7720 is up a printing better than ever. I found the spring at the bottom I guess thats why I was getting the cartridge door open error. I was also getting Error Code 000033 before and the new part fixed everything.
Kevin I need your help I have an XP-970 when starting up the printer seems to start fine then at the last second of its startup the carriage slams hard to the left and it gives a paper Jam error. I want to save this printer its new. If you could help me with it I would appreciate it.
Thank you for your video Kevin! I tried power on and then when the lever was down powering it off but I can only get the print head compartment to move about half an inch. Is there another way to disengage the lever?
Kevin, I Epson so1400 print head moves to the left after it's one and back to it caping station but it's not locked on the capping station then blinks paper and ink simultaneously
Great video! My lock doesn’t seem to be engaging fast enough. Like the timing is off. The carriage goes all the way to the left but the lock either doesn’t lock fast enough or it locks then unlocks. Then the carriage goes slamming back to the left! Any other ideas for me on this?
Kevin, very good videos! I have an epson wf-3640 that the carriage goes to the far left when doing the startiup and I hear a screeching sound and it trips the 0XEA code. Turning the printer off and back on does not help. What causes this and how do I fix it??? Thank you.
@@tylynblanchard4456 check the plastic encoder strip that goes behind the printhead for dirt, grease or kinks. Clean it with a lint-free paper towel and water the length of the strip. If it is kinked you will need to get a new one. Keven has a video on that, easy to fix. I did it and it worked.
My 1390 Stylus photo dtf printer or turns on but the print head just goes all the way to the left and starts making a loud buzzing noise like if something is stuck why?
Kevin I went to change my printer head on my ProColored and it wouldn't print so I turned it off and now it won't turn on, but I have power to the printer. any suggestions?
Hi Kevin. I have a SCp800. I'm getting error code 1404. It tells me to replace a cartridge but the door to the cartridges is locked up. I cannot get to the home screen to get to the setting to remove the cartridges. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much.
Hey Kevin. My Epson 7710 had stop printing Magenta (sublimation) even after adding fresh ink and cartridges. So I did multiple print head cleans and still didn't work. Flushed nozzle with your solution. Only caused me to replace maintenance box. And Magenta still didn't print. Took print head out and cleaned according to your video and now the print head makes loud noise when going to left Error 00023. My ET 15000 which is brand new is doing the same after changing out the type of ink after flushing nozzles. So my conclusion is that after turning power off to manually move the print head is causing this. What do I need to do to relock or reposition the print head correctly after it has been manually unlocked and moving freely?
Hi Kevin. My Epson Workforce 645 has the error, "Printer Error Turn Power Off And Then On Again" but it doesn't move the print head. Do you know what the defect is?
Me too. When I went to clean the nozzles, I forgot to turn the power off. My guess is that the gearing mechanism is out of order and my locking action never happens. No noise in a gearing assembly makes me assume there is a binding action within the system. This is the exact reason I studied electrical engineering. The failure modes are less frequent, easier to fix, and last longer. Fixes with sw and fw are the true mechanism. 1. I'm going try moving the cartridge assembly completely to the rhs 2. Pull the locking tab outwards. 3. Move the belt until it locks 4. Re-engage the locking tab. 5. Turn it on I get so sick of the sh*t my wife brings home. Her friends always dump their waste on her. Why can't everything be electrical?
Hi i have a epson ET-7750 printer. Recently the print head lowers more than it needs to. When it powers up sometimes its normal but when its time to print its dragging on the print while printing, what do you think i can do to fix it??
Hello Kevin I went to go do a print head cleaning on my Epson ET 2720 because I hadn't used it in awhile and it wasn't printing right. So the problem started when I went to do the cleaning and I broke the printer head locking mechanism. I went ahead and finished the cleaning and put the printer back together thinking maybe it would still print and work for the time being since I had a job I had to print still to get done and there was time constraints on the job. When I first started the printer up I went to go do a nozzle check I believe(I'm not 100% which I tried first)but once I went to do it I got an error once the printer went to unlock the print head mechanism like normal when starting the nozzle check. The error said check with support or something like that and there was a problem. After the error screen turned off I got it back to the main menu screen on the printer and I decided to try everything again thinking maybe it would still print but just fail to lock the printer head in place when needed. Well then after that if I go to nozzle check or try to print anything or do any other maintenances it doesn't give me the error. It goes about the process like normal and sounds normal. You can see and hear the print head moving around just as if it was printing but nothing ever gets printed out. No ink goes onto the paper anywhere. Did I mess up something else when cleaning the printer head or is this happening because the locking mechabnism is broke???? Please help me figure this out. I don't want to buy the new locking mechanism and take the time to fix it and have there be another problem that is causing it not to print as well. Thank you for your time and sorry for such a long post I appologize.
I have an L1800 that won't pick up paper. Bellow the LD roller there is a smaller roller. Everything I have read says this roller should turn but on my L1800 it won't turn. Can you help? Thank you.

It’s hard to tell. Sounds like a bunch of errors mixed up. I can’t give a diagnosis without looking at it.
Hello Kevin can i have video how to remove Waste Ink Pump Assembly Epson WF 7620. Thanks
epson wf 7610 carriage its not moving on the belt help video
please
It's possible to remove printer lock definitely? And in Epson r300 is printer lock lever necessary? or can I remove it?
You can’t. The printer needs it to determine its printhead position. If you remove it you will get fake paper jam error.
I have an L1800 that won't pick up paper. Bellow the LD roller there is a smaller roller. Everything I have read says this roller should turn but on my L1800 it won't turn. Can you help? Thank you.
Has it been modified?
Kevin do you know how to reset the lock? It’s not broken but for some reason it won’t lock..the cradle just shoots to the left!!
Sounds like the timing belt is not in the reader slot.

Kevin on my wf 7720 Epson im getting scanner error message 1000016 help
Your so helpful
Hello Kevin
Hope u r well
I need your help
I have an Epson L805 but it powers on but the print head doesn't move.
Is it something u can help me navigate around
Thanks
It could be a few things. The worst one will be the main board. Since L805 is not an US model, it will be tough.
Awesome 10/10
hello i have an epson 7720 my printer head slams to the left then the right and stops it gives me an error could this be my problem?
Check the CR encoder belt.
@@BCHTechnologies what this
what if i just remove the lock?what will happen?
You will get a "paper jam" error.
L1800 show the 51h error cr lock error.
Upon starting my carriage just moved to left and bangs and comes back violently.
not on my xp-7100
is this related to error code 34503?
im also looking for the answer for that code, but its saying also printer error
Do you repair? For the life of me I cant find a repairman!
The lock doesn't always disengage completely and printhead slams into it giving me printer error. Annoying.
It maybe get knocked off it's spot. Take it out and reinstall it.
