PSA: folks, this guy knows his stuff. although my issue wasn't a broken tab on the carriage, it was an "old coin battery"... please don't ask me how it got there... perhaps the last old CISS that I had, the battery fell out and after all these years, it suddenly worked its way into a spot that obstructed the carriage flow.... ANYTHING CAN GET IN THE WAY OF THE FAR RIGHT as it tries to get to point zero, look hard!!!! lol

The best way is to get some junk printers from eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or yard sale. Fix them for profit. You will build up the knowledge and also make some money.
What does the PW system control? I have two Dtg‘s one that’s been broke for a year and I noticed the PW sensor on it. I can’t see it the cable and on the new one I have it sliced I bought a new carriage head from the manufacture it also came with the cable sliced to the pw senor.
My CISS cartridges have leaked and there is ink on that thin plastic strip you talk about first here. Water and soap will not remove it. Will rubbing alcohol melt the plastic strip? can you suggest anything please?
Any ideas on a WF7610 0x97 error where the carriage seems like it wants to move however seems like it's caught from beneath on right side. Only happens when requesting to print, clean etc. Machine has less than 500 print usage and is outside of warranty. Thanks for the videos
Kevin can you please help. I have R3000 and my pri thread will not release from capping station and when I turn on I hear a grinding noise and error comes up. Was working good. I didnot clean the printhead or anything so idk what's going on

Hi I have a WF-3540 Epson. I get a 0XEA error. I cannot find anything that is jamming like paper or anything. The carriage tries to move, but only moves a few mm and then stops...almost like it doesn't have the power to move. I can unlock the carriage lock manually and move the carriage manually along the whole rails left to right. Have tried to start (turn on) machine at several points along the carriage rail, but same issue... carriage only moves a mm or 2 then stops and gives error. Can you assist with any ideas as to what the issue could be?
Feb 2024: Used 3620 off and on for years. Was working well as a scan to PDF mostly. Now with the Ex0A error, it's useless. Fantastic skillset you have, but with limited time vs. money, I may have to toss mine out. Too bad there isn't a default scan-only option that would disable a broken carriage. Would still be perfect for scanning to a thumb drive.
I am receiving this error on my printer however, I think it's the small white clip that moves up and down to release the cartridge. I'm going out of my mind and don't know how to fix it. It makes a very loud scraping sound and then this error comes up.
Hello Kevin, I'm in a bind with a Epson photo 1400 printer that has low hours and i have deleted the software with revo and reinstalled the original driver. I did not install any updates. The Printer when powered up was not showing the ink cartridges. I did a few cartridge changes then my printer locked up. is there a fix for this?

Hi Kevin. I have an epson XP 420 printer and it is giving me error 0XE8 and also makes loud noise near the cartridge area. It was fine until i replaced the ink cartridges and started to do so after this. I have never had issues in the past. I am trying to troubleshoot by seeing your videos but it is making it hard. Can you please help me in providing what will be the issue? and how to fix it? i also removed the lid and do you think that might cause that issue?

Probably it’s the belt caught by the carriage. Take a look and make sure it’s not twisted.

Do you know what causes fax error in wf3620?
Do you have an error code?
Sadly no, only at boot up it gives error: Fax is out of order, contact Epson.
@@tomaztercic9147 Maybe change the Fax module? Are you in the US?

I am not sure. Have you tried to reset the waste tank counter?
I said waste tank because it usually causes all the lights to blink. If you have an error code or message, it will help to narrow down the problem.
