Instant Pot Recipe, Pork Belly Instant Pot. I love using a pressure cooker to make pork belly. It cuts the time down from 4 hours to just 30 minutes.
Thank you for tuning into my video. Please share, it helps grow my channel. I want as many people as possible to see this video!
    My knife: amzn.to/2xueDAc
I mostly use my Instant Pot as an electric pressure cooker and slow cooker. It cuts the time to make pulled pork down to a fraction of the time it would take in a crock pot. Sometimes I use it to sauté or warm food, depending on the recipe, and occasionally I use it to make yogurt.
    Recipe:
    Instant Pot Pork Belly
1 pound of pork belly (no skin)
    1 tbsp - Salt
    1 tbsp - Pepper
    1 tbsp - Dried thyme
    1 tbsp - Dried Oregano
    1 small head - Garlic
3/4 cup - Dry White Wine
    1) Set electric pressure cooker to heat (stew/meat if using an Instant Pot) place pork belly in the cooker skin side up
    2) Cover with all listed ingredients, pour wine into the container and cover
    3) Pressure cook for 30 minutes
    4) Release pressure and rest the Pork Belly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

This recipe uses a pressure cooker: amzn.to/2Ddg1OY
Chefs use them to quickly cook cheap cuts and infuse flavor.
Using the above link ^ helps to support my channel (if you decide to buy one) :)

I made this yesterday. I bought some already cut, into thick strips of pork belly. Never have cooked it before. Really had no idea what to do with it lol. Then I came across your video. I made it the same way your recipe called for. I used dried seasonings, did not have fresh, same as garlic. Sad, I know lol. I had a bit of wine that my, now married son left in the fridge, worked perfectly. Use what your kitchen has is a great motto. I did use the meat/stew selection, forgot to lower to 30 minutes, mine cooked for 35. After it was finished, it was so tender I cut it with a fork. Fried it in a tablespoon of Kerry Gold butter in a cast iron skillet. OMG! Wow! The flavor of the seasonings, the crispiness of the pork belly and the fat on my lips!!!!!!!! haha. Thank you. By the way, I made the ketchup as well. Yup, awesome!

The flavor almost too much right? I'm really glad you had success with this recipe. This one was a bit more advanced but so SO worth it.

A good simple recipe. I had to double the time--30 minutes wasn't enough--but at an hour the pork belly was tender and delicious.

Haven’t had a chance to catch up on your videos lately. Missed them. I just love them! 😊 They are informative, to-the-point and so calming in a great way! I was going to buy myself an Instapot for Christmas but wasn’t sure if I’d use it enough. This is a great idea! What else do you use it for?

    • @TheKetoChef
      @TheKetoChef  6 лет назад +1

Sara Fritz haha happy your caught up! Pretty much any low and slow recipe for a crock pot can be done in a fraction of the time in a pressure cooker. Pulled pork takes 4-6 hours, in a pressure cooker it’s less then an hour. You also don’t loose any moisture so you food can’t dry out while cooking!
