I could see Everyman basically being an in-universe meme, kinda like Killroy. People draw him and know him and because of that he appears all over the place in the Dark World, but he doesn't have one physical form, he's just a living concept of sort.

Every man being a shape shifter is actually a really cool concept, it has that “trust no one” feeling but it makes the man a lot more spooky, an enemy you barely knew existed, one that could be anywhere or anyone, but they’re just watching you, not an active threat which makes them a lot more creepy.
That being said I do have an idea about him, his presence in Undertale and the graffiti indicates he’s a lightner, yet jevil’s attack indicates a darkner, I believe he could be both, sort of, if he is the egg man then this makes a lot of sense, but with that assumption he is a cryptid, something odd or out of place but the moment you look away it was just something normal

Yk, I really do think Everyman would be a great Secret Boss, especially for a Graveyard/Church Dark World (I think out of all the DWs he'd be most likely to appear. Church especially)
There's actually a morality play that has incredibly strong ties to Christian beliefs called "Everyman" as well, which I feel is more evidence of their potential appearance in a Church DW, even if as part of a cameo. There is quite a lot of religious symbolism in DR (Kris' name, their connection to apples, Gaster's whole "6" motif, Spamton's mentions of "Heaven") so I wouldn't be surprised if Everyman ended up playing a bigger role in DR than in UT. Pretty good stuff!

I always found the Everyman part of undertale slightly unnerving
I just assumed it was the monster equivalent of a stick figure. It’s vaguely humanoid. It has strange appendages and colorless for the infinite colors monster can be.

My personal idea of what everyman might be is that they are the monster equivalent of a stick figure. A genderless abstract representation of what a monster is. It would make a but of sense since they have a simple yet unique appearance, have appeared in place of normal things and people and would make sense as graphitti
