I agree Big Ben and the buses turned out amazing, but I also really love what happened with those trees. Just a little touch of color and they look so great! Thanks for this.
The past 3 weeks I've sketched and painted along on quite a few of these beginning videos. I love them. From the get-go I've ended up with something I feel good about, which just makes me want to do more. Thanks for making so many of them!
Please let me know in the comments what you think AND of course, where shall I sketch next? Really enjoying these sketches based on your ideas, so get involved and give me some inspiration... please please please :D
I just discovered your channel and I’m in love! Thank you! I’m a year into my watercolor journey and just now exploring urban sketches. If you haven’t already, what about the Eiffel Tower in Paris?
@@cameronjade4861 haha that's a fun idea! Extremely challening :P All of those steel poles, I'm getting a migraine thinking about it :D I'll have a think about how to achieve it... there must be a way - thanks for the lovely comment!
Love the idea of “letting the colour do its own thing” as you often say. This is a new approach for me and I enjoy it very much. The sketch is stunning!
Once again, your ability to articulate your reasoning behind your line marking, colour choice and application techniques is really appreciated. Nice vid thank you.
I always amazed with people with good eyes to capture over all shape, sketching just go directly with pen. This is really a challenge for me, most of the time when I do this it end up out of shape. I enjoy your video. Keep up the good work, and thank you for share.
This was fantastic from the first mark and continued to fascinate me until the very end! I am relatively new to the RUclips art scene (call me an old American...lol), and this was the first of your work I've seen. I am definitely going to be binge watching your channel!
Wow! I just recently discovered your channel and absolutely love your art. Thank you for all of your time and easy to understand instructions. I'm just wondering if your sketches would also make great monoprints? Thanks again! Derick from Tennessee
Great videos. Every time I watch, I say I can do that. And then I can’t!
🙂 just takes a bit of practice, confidence perhaps being the most important thing not skill

Glad you like them!

So awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Again a super nice sketch and lovely loose colours =D I really would like to see how you would sketch a rainy scene though...
Thank you so much 😀 a rainy scene is on my list 👍👍
Love your colours Toby - particularly the gold (Hansa yellow?) and the Moonglow - really vibrant
Yes I think hansa yellow, thanks as ever Martin
Lovely sketch and colours, thank you for sharing Toby 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Hi.. great talk about, those brush pens are nice to tip on their sides to get a thicker line. They definitely have their uses 😎
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant thankyou
No worries
Bravo!
Thanks 🙏
Great sketch Toby love it 😊👍
Thank you so much 😀
For me it’s about the mood you create.
Absolutely agree 👍
Can you also tell me if that Towbow fude pen is a particular size?

Welcome aboard!
How about sketching "The Eye" or the newish Postal building with all it's curves ??? Thanks for another great beginner's video.
Great suggestion!
Really inspiring and encouraging thankyou. Would you be clearer on which colours you are using? It’s hard to hear ….
Sorry! I shall take your feedback on board 🙏

Thank you so much! I haven't much experience with monotone, they'd probably need simplifying a little more but in principle why not??
Toby, could you let me know again where I can find your book and if you ship to the USA? Thank you! Gabriela.
Sadly you can't find it anymore - I've run out! I might reprint, I'll let people know via my newsletter if I do!
3rd 😊
Not so quick this week! Clearly need a coffee ☕
🤣 🤣
Where did you buy this sketchbook in 300gsm, if I may ask? I can only find a 200gsm version.
I think I mis-spoke - it's 220gsm not 300gsm
What are those two buildings in the background? I do not remember seeing them when I was in London.
Hehe I'm honestly not sure!!! I I'm terrible, amongst other things, at remembering names of places roads buildings etc
@@TobySketchLoose You must get lost all the time 😂.
