Thanks Akdiesel.. that's the exact test i've been looking for a long time. I performed a similar test to see how many irrigation heads i could open and run without a pump. I noticed that the diameter of the pvc pipe had a lot to do with how many heads i could open. If i could add more flow to the 1 inch pipe that's currently opening two of those heads, i could add two more heads without the need to create another zone!
Are you still answering questions on here? This is the exact setup I need. Do you know before and after GPM and/or PSI with and without the pump. Thanks!!
I'm thinking of buying a similar pump to increase PSI volume to two sprinkler heads from my spigot. Are you still using it? Do you leave it outside? And how quiet us it?
I have a pressure washer that is attached to a 200 gallon tank. The natural gravity flow of the water from the tank is not strong enough to make the pressure washer work to its fullest potential. Can I put one of these between the tank and the pressure washer, to suck the water from the water tank, and push it into the pressure washer to make it work to its fullest potential?
I have a power washing company running one 6.7 and one 8gpm pumps gravity fed by 2 630 gal tanks. With no issues. Your problem wil be the feed line from the tank to pump. I run a 1" Id line.
This pump is a total piece of you know what. Mine ran for about 10 minutes, now sits there and buzzes and motor doesn't move anything. Sticker on box says I can't even return to store, I have to go online and give more of my precious time on this earth jumping through their hoops. Serves me right for buying at Harbor Freight
Did you have any problem getting that pump primed? I just got one, going back to get a Y splitter today. Any suggestions on priming it would be appreciated. THANK YOU!
I had no problems because I was forcing water through it and sealed my antisiphon on my spigot. If you have an antisiphon it will suck air. If your trying to transfer from a non pressurized water source try backfilling the pump before turning it on
I have the same pump and I’m not sure about this either but just Incase I rigged it like I rigged my fog machines for Halloween. We get lots of rain here and I have 4 fog machines that I don’t want to keep replacing. I took a plastic tub, made sure the lid fit with the pump in it, then we took a hole saw drill bit and cut a couple holes into the sides making sure the hose and the cord fit into the holes. There’s enough ventilation to let it run that way without overheating the motor. I also chained it to a tree so it doesn’t get stolen. With my fog machines this works pretty perfectly. The only change is with those I have a fitting over the point that blows out, and I have connected it to PVC pipe. So I can assure that my area is getting fog instead of the inside of the tub. Since it’s not exposed to the weather I can also leave it outside without worry. So, that’s why I chose to set up this pump the same way. I’m also discovering we may need to put some small drain holes in it but if I do that, I’ll figure out how to put some legs on it so it’s off the ground and not sitting in water. Especially for when it actually rains.
This is the video I’ve been looking for lol want to do this but didn’t know if it would work! Thank you

Tip: use 3/4” garden hose instead of 5/8”. You’ll get way more flow regardless of pump or no pump. But with 3/4” and pump you’ll get even more flow.

How many PSI do you have coming out of your faucet? If it's less than 70 PSI, adjust your pressure regulator up a little.
How has the pump held up? I hear the newer China-made ones only last 6-18 months.

How do u take off the antisyphin to work with pump?
Could you connect this pump to an Orbit Water timer to come on to automatically water your lawn??
You can't do it with this particular pump, what you are looking for is a booster pump with an auto switch. Amazon has them for about $160.
@jdmcquerry could you kindly provide a link to one of these type pumps??
Your city water keeps up with the pump?? That exactly what I want to do but I'm told my city water pressure won't keep up
That pump 1HP? 3/4?
Could i leave this outside next to spigot on side of house??
You can but I would Dig a hole for an irrigation control box and burry it.

You've reduced the intake from 1" to ¾" with provided adapter. Has it been an issue for the pump?
Can this be used to transfer water out of a pond?
Yes
How is your pump going so far? Any issues?
No issues
Does this increase flow rate or just make more pressure?
Yes, increase in pressure will always increase flow.

Can this water pump be left outside or another words is it weatherproof?

This pump is made by GP Enterprises Co. This is rebranded of a poor quality pump that doesn't last.
sprinkler pump
Your inlet hose is way too small. Use 3/4” garden hoses
This hint is gold!
I suspect, the pump will or has already failed.
Still runs fine.
I suspect you don't know what you're talking about
Weak sauce
